anyone using Avent VIA cup? do i need to sterilize the cup after each use?
btw i found out that a lot of Nov bb start to sleep thru already, some even started since 6-7wk, so anyone here so heng to hav bb tat already start to sleep thru? mean fr 12-5am?? nite time i will latch on coz too tired to wake up to warm up EBM plus bb will scream like hell if waited too long, so end up i hav to wake up every 1.5-2hrs to feed him again... so izzit not possible for latch on bb to sleep thru?

yup do get a stroller, at least bb can sleep in the stroller while u shop & try clothes..;p that's wat i did
Just to share, i'm using the capella S705. not exactly super lightwt but i can one hand close myself & cradle BB in the other hand. definately need help if to lug it into taxi alone...but think can ask the taxi drvier to help la. Personally felt weight is a tradeoff for stability. Cos too lightwt also means not stable enuff..as long as not too heavy & function/design is wat u looking for gd enuff.
Pacifier: my boy dun like pacifier..we practically have to cajole him into taking it...i also only use it when it's not feeding time & i've tried all ways but he's still crying..in a way it helps to "muffle" the cries.

no leh i din swaddle her.. only half swaddle.. she dun really like... tonight i try again.. but its very hot to swaddle her... later sure got rashes..

hey i'm using capella S705 as well, but think of selling it away ler, i bought it when #1 was born but tat time i only go out when hubby is along so no problem to carry around, but now i got a lot of chances to go out alone with bb so weight is my concern liao esp when i'm taking bus... so i wanted to buy another one ler but hubby said must sell away the current one wor... xian!

jess, when I bought the cups 2 yrs back, the package states use no more than 5x. But till nw I am still using since the condition is still gd. Ya, the new package says use till see sign of wear n tear.

I finally managed to venture out alone with little boi. Went to Taka. Was out for only about 3 hours though.
Like Luthadel, I brought him out in a baby carrier.
Then pack in a haversack the following item:
1) pouch containing 3 diapers, wet wipes and nappy cream and a romper
2) Bottle of frozen EBM ( so I dun carry cooler bag , neither did I bring hot water, cos I was visiting someone in orchard to pass the full month gift,I pitstop there and got the hot water..hehehe!!)
The experience overall was nice. I managed to get the mattress protector cos boi sleeps on the bed sometimes and leaks urine!! The only setback is my back and legs are aching. Long time no walk so much and boi is heavy. Now weigh 5.2 kg at 6 weeks!! bag of rice lor!

Hi all, we bought cidney to the PD this morning cause her face condition is getting worse, also she's got block nose again early this morning, we use the sucker to suck for 20mins but to no avail. PD prescribe some many things for her, a bt of wash, nasal spray, probotics, cream for face and a medicine for phelgm...

Just wondering when will baby's look be more "established". Cos now my baby's eyes still look puffy so not sure whether she looks more like daddy or mummy. Now she doesn't have double-eyelids which I suspect she may look like her daddy. 
My MIL said need to wait at least she is 3 months old for her puffy eyes to subside. Will it take that long?

Jowin, u may want to try hugging ur gal n place her on ur chest? my boi like it a lot n he will fall asleep but problem is..when i put him in cot, slping on his back..he will wake up again..but if i placed him on his chest..he will slp soundly again..
btw..my boi can raise up his head for like 5-10s now! and he know to turn his head when lying on his chest.

yes yes .. get a MacLaren ... preferably Quest or Mod which is only 5.5kg .. the XT is 6.8kg ..
I love my Quest which my 3rd girl is using rite now. She loves sitting in the stroller. I'm "training" Calista now. Seriously easier to bring baby out with a stroller .. especially for lunches with your girlfriend and shopping.
I also pack light for my baby .. I don't even use a diaper bag. Just 1 or 2 diapers .. wipes .. that's it -- that's cos I breastfeed la. so no need to bring bottles etc

alamak you're rite ! I anyhow suggest to LuthAdel to get the Quest .. totally forgot that it can't recline all the way down so not suitable for Bryan .. unless LuthAdel waits another month or so before using it .. !! No la, my Quest is for my 3rd girl, Emily who's 27 months old.

I am Clarissa. I used to give my mummy alot of trouble during my 1st 2 months also. Now I am more better behaved. Even can sit in Ikea highchair while my parents eat their dinner liao. I am sure ur darling will soon be like me, or should i say, even more guai than me. Please endure this tough period. After this, we, babies are very fun to play with liao.

bur, hope cidney is better le.. hayden's acne/rash is also heat aggrivated, so u might want to keep cidney cool!!
going out- i've been bring baby out almost everyday.. keke.. if just going to the coffeeshop, i wont bring anything.. but going out further i will bring abt 5 diapers in ziploc, nappy rash cream, wipes, nursing cover, a change of clothes, 2 small towels and 1 small bottle of water.
Hayden loves water.. so it works better than the pacifier.. i have about 7 pacifiers already.. still cant find the one that works! i finally succeeded TBF already.. usually still will substitute 1 feed with FM... kekee..
TBF is so much easier than bottle feeding.. keke.. cuts down so much washing/ sterilizing time.. better than EBM coz EBM takes time to warm up.. and hayden is NOT patient at all..
went to FINALLY rebond my hair yesterday.. brought baby there.. was at the salon (which is a HDB unit) from 10.30am to 6pm.. keke.. thankfully got lots of aunties there so they all took turns carrying Hayden... he din want to slp coz kaypo la..
today i'm going to shave off all his hair!!!! erm.. coz i think it will improve the condition of his rash! hehe.. i'm going to have a little monk and a BIG monk at home..

brought my lil Daniell to PD yesterday coz can't tahan his pimple-like rashes anymore that appearing all over his face, ear & head... was precribed a cream & juz one apply (last evening after his bath), WOW... his face looks sooooo much better now.. actually we used this cream before when last time my elder one had eczema, and now my elder one's face become so silky smooth, hehe...

By the way, how to do go to the toilet when you bring a baby on stroller? The cubicles are not big enough so do you park both baby and stroller outside? I'm still trying to figure out how be out with baby alone using the stroller.

If I'm meeting my friend for lunch or tea, then I go when I'm with my friend.
Actually, I generally detest going to public loos, even to pee, so somehow, I seldom need to pee or otherwise while I'm out ... lol.

my ger is not a very latch on baby.. but i do still latch her like once a day..
Posting at 4am cos i pump milk lor..
Realise tat if i latch her, she fall asleep quickly and only drink abit of milk which can only last her for 30mins to 1 hr.. then she awake for feed lor....

ur elder has eczema for how long already? did doc giv him any cream or medicine? my #1 had eczema since 6 wks old, when we applied cream for him the eczema will go off every quickly but will come back on & off also, so we hav to apply regularly & thanks god the eczema totally went off within few mths... but think depend on individual also...

wah u so pro in latching liao huh!!! no pain on the nipple at all?! very pei fu sia! i totally cant! cant my gal is very fussy in her drinks. she must drink and suck fast fast.. if no milk come out she will screammmmmm!
Just came back from my gynea. today have done this pest-mer(duno how to spell) test. Doc normal ask me am i still breastfeeding i say YUP. he say wah.. u must be very tired lor! i say yes.. then he say then u at night also wake up and pump ah? i say YA.. then he say WOW.. then u must be very very tired sia! lol Anyway i ask him if i BF can i drink KOPI? he say anything also can but no alcohol. He say if want to drink can.. a little can liao. if not scare your milk for alcohol will make baby sleep longer..
Oh i ask him can i run now.. he say yes.. and i ask him when can my hips be smaller(HAHHAA) he say do more execise! the hip big is not cause of your bone. is all fats.. -____- anyway my next appointment will be 6 months later.. the counter lady told me is better to test pest-mer every 1 yr. =)
Tomorrow im going to TMC parentcraft. My gal these days keep fuss here and there buay tarhan not sure whats the problem. and hard to burp at times so i have decided tomorrow go there.. Infact wanted to book in the afternoon but when i ask is Mrs wong will be in. They would me in the morning. So i book 9am lor.

ya u're rite, agree that Capella is a bit on the heavier wt side.. but we bot it cos of the features (fully recline, reverisble handle, full canpoy, )...i gather if i going out alone with BB & stroller my diaper bag got to be super super light... hee have yet to try alone yet though
Dee, I'm on TBF. thou i dun take DOM now already, but during my confinement, my CL steams fish with a bit of DOM everyday. She also put some DOM in some other dish...As long as u dun drink it neat; ie cook it / boil it to let the alcohol evaporate first, shd be fine bah..

(cos I pat pat him while he lies on my chest)..Thou not always works, but out of 5 times will work for at least 3 times...At times he will even give that starting to cry face, i quickly carry on pat pat him for him to sleep again..

U are spot on regarding the different kind of headache we face during our bb different stages. Guess this is the downside of parenthood. There is 1 chinese saying, 养儿防老(raising child as a form of security during old age), but my mum change it to 养儿烦恼(raising child mean bother urself with lot of trouble). Hehe...

My gal development a bit fast. Perhaps she hypoactive so will explore more about her environment n I will stimulate her with activity like tummy time or imitate mummy action game. I swear by the effect of tummy time for my gal.
She manage to flip b4 3 months. N her neck can support upwards though her head is still a bit too heavy for her shoulder to support. Also Ikea highchair a bit slippery so I put the cushion around her to add support for her.
U are spot on regarding the different kind of headache we face during our bb different stages. Guess this is the downside of parenthood. There is 1 chinese saying, 养儿防老(raising child as a form of security during old age), but my mum change it to 养儿烦恼(raising child mean bother urself with lot of trouble). Hehe...

My gal development a bit fast. Perhaps she hypoactive so will explore more about her environment n I will stimulate her with activity like tummy time or imitate mummy action game. I swear by the effect of tummy time for my gal.
She manage to flip b4 3 months. N her neck can support upwards though her head is still a bit too heavy for her shoulder to support. Also Ikea highchair a bit slippery so I put the cushion around her to add support for her.

yes, I also did my pap smear yesterday at my gynae's ... it's good to do it every year for us (even those who aren't married but sexualy active are encouraged to do it) ..
so your girl sucks very hard when u latch her on? Is that why your nipples still hurt?

this mon i just bring my boi for his hep B 2nd dose injection and he is weighing 4.902kg n 57 cm. Nurse say i overfed my boi liao..cos he is drinking 140ml every 3 hrly...she say normally 3mths bb will be only drinking 120ml..and mine overdose..die lah..have to maintain this range for at least 3mths..
btw, i try to use the sling today..and he manage to accept it..and i managed to use the sling to make him deeply sleep. But the problem is this sling is given by my SIL n it dun seems to be wider compare to pupsik or MIM.therefore i still need to support my boi's head..at least better than nothing..i got 1 hand free..

i think so thats why is the problem that my nipples do hurt. but now i didnt latch. once in a blue moon let her latch she seems to be very fussy. i guess she is use to EBM liao of the fast flow. anyway both ways im fine too. im happily pumping and she can happily bite the teats of the bottle. hahaha

jes, not good to apply neoderm too freq as in long run, bb skin will b too dry. my doc ever gave me one for my rashes n he warn me not to use it everyday so exercise care ya since bb skin is very sensitive n delicate
