Has urs been like tat all the while? For me I know ducts are blocked cos when I pump I usually see a few ducts "spraying" milk. Aft my fever, production line cut down to one duct spraying milk. Tat is how I noe... :p

I think it is chargable leh... I was charged consultation when I went to parentcraft with my "congested breast" but I think it is money well spent.

Pacifier-
try not to give during 1st month if u are breastfeeding via latch to prevent nipple confusion... And of cos try not to use ur breast as a pacifier. Else nxt time go out bb wants to be pacified may just pull up ur shirt *GASP*

hayden has been a horrible little boy.. he doesnt want to slp.. he will only slp if I carry him.. and he wants to be fed every hour..... i have no time to do anything at all.. lucky i bought more teats so i dun have to sterilize often.. keke.. now i have 6 teats and 5 bottles...

i'm breastfeeding with 1 breast only.. my other one dry up le.. keke.. then now my boob size very diff oh.. the left is almost double the size of the right one lor.. i'll just breast feed until the left dries up too..

Looks like a lot of bb having full mth party tml..today i distribute cakes for my side's relatives order from Melose(Yummy) and tml gog to my pil's place for Gerard's full mth party.

Btw, is anyone getting M size diaper for storage? I saw a lot of promotions for Nepia, pamper dry n huggies..

Anyone know what is the differences for Pampers range?My hb's friend passed us a lot of Pampers diapers size S but dunno what range..but like not v good compare to the pamper NB. The tape and material like rough

ur bb auto ask for milk only every 3hrs? is he on EBM or latch on? actually i find that giving EBM is easier to control than direct BF ler, coz if my bb given EBM at least he won't ask for milk so fast compared to latch on... think maybe most of the time when he latch on he only suck for 5-10min then dun wan liao...

i already stock up M size diaper when pampers had sale last year Oct, hehe... very kiasu hor, now i got total 6packs M size diaper in my storeroom... for pampers, there are quite few ranges, pamper NB & S in yellow packaging as well as M, L, XL in purple packaging are those top range & of coz more ex... whereas pamper in red & orange packaging are cheaper range so quality not that good lor...

tonite will be a long long nite.. my baby only sleep 4hrs today. He woke up at 7am this morning and did not sleep till abt 11am for 15minutes (in the car journey to my in law's place) and then fuss n cry till we left at 12noon..reached home he fuss again and manage to sleep fr 1pm - 3pm and wake up to drink milk and after tat din sleep until juz now 7pm, but the moment my parents n siblings were here, they woke him up!! Aarrghh...he is still fussing rite now!! siao liao

Bought my BB to PD this morn to test her Jaundice level..Its rather high lei.. level 18.5 wor!! Doc say either Baby mus be hospitalized or mus rent the light home to do phototheraphy. But bb on BF, so bo bian gotta rent the PEP Bed hm..

We had a hard time trying to get her to lie down there naked to sun.. she scream and wail non stop.. it took us 5 hours to finally wear her out and slp inside the PEP Bed.. see her cry so hard.. me so heart pain.. We gotta bring her back for review agn on mon, hopefully she co-operates tml as well.. then the jaundice level shld drop on mon..*cross my fingers*

did u try fenugreek? It may b able to increase ur BM ss. Me jus started on it.. haven see the effect yet co only takin 2 a day for a start.. My bb oso bery demanding.. always not enuff.. gotta supplement w FM. Both my nipples sore and peeling.. I saw the skin peeling and reveal raw skin.. so scary..!!! Baby's suction too powerful liao.. i rather pump.

my ger aso lokes many here...always drink not enuff..sometimes i latch on for 30 mins each side..she fall asleep while feeding den a while she wakes up for more milk..
i am thinking of supplementing her night feed with FM so she can slp longer at nite..

my nipples aso sore n pain..today i pump n feed her on total EBM, even pump aso pain....

which brand is good huh? any recommendations??

I live my worst confinement in my life.. tortured by my MIL..yesterday was my baby's full month celebration WITH FRIENDS.. very long story.. my MIL made me cried terribly last nite .. sigh...very sad to have this kind of MIL...I do not know how to explain as its long story.. wat made me sad, is tat, she actually called up my mum to warn her , vent her anger on my mum and told her tat 3 yrs ago, she dun wan her son to marry me...but her son insist.

ydae nite went kkh 24hr women clinic. got served pretty fast mayb coz i bring kayson there den d nurse manager attend to mi immediately. hehe.

she massage my breast n pump for almost 1hr to get rid of my lump. pain sia. lucky i ate panadol n ponstan b4 i went down. if not, faintz. told her i wan stop bm coz too tiring n every 1-2dae on big lump can die. dr gave meds so now kip applyin cabbage n change every 2hrs till bm stop.

morning waki n i can still feel breast engorging. hopefully i don need 2 courses of meds like laz yr. argh.

u ok? u sound terribly upset.. my CL say cannot cry during confinement bad for our eyes. If ur MIL is so unreasonable.. no point crying over her reckless comments n actions.. ask ur mum to ignore her. Stay away fr her...

My situation is opp of urs.. me oso cry bery hard a few days ago.. but e culprit is my own mum..

i only got big lump. no fever. quickly went to 24hr clinic b4 fever come coz my lump for 3 daes le. den its one side of breast to d other side. smmore on left breast onli.

u got try apply cold cabbage? i applied to relive d lump den massage. helps to clear faster.

Anyway yday i last pump was 1.30am. and i overslep till 8am! 8 hours sia..my breast was like a mountain sia! and i saw so many obvious nerves from my breast to my neck!.. so scary sia. and now im clearing..guess need quite a long time to clear. arghz

that time i reg the free gift from abbott.. then they give me some goodies plus a free voucher of swimming de lor. I can choose either swimming or massage. I choose swimming de. I didnt sign for the package cus i think my gal still duno how to play. to let her swim is about 20 min but my gal quite tired that day so 10 mins haha I went to puggol plaza where to try it out.

dun let ur MIL words affect u. Although I dunno what have ur MIL said to make both u & ur mum upset, but as long as u koe u are doing a good job taking care of ur own BB, just hack care ur MIL. It's easier said than done esp with our post prengnancy, we get emotional very easily. But for ur BB's sake dun let it affect u. Rem BB can sense our emotions too.
R u currently living w ur MIL? ur own place or? If it's ur own place n ur MIL staying with u, can ask her to move out? If u're staying at ur MIL place, can u move out to ur mum's place? Most impt ur HB gotta be on ur side.

how many day old is ur bb? My BB boy also had high level of jaundice which wasnt detected at birth, only found out when went for his 1st PD cehckup after discharge. We too rented the Phototherapy light treatment home for BB as didnt want BB to be hospitalise.
It took us almost 2 wks before his Jaundice level came down to below 10. So dun despire, I koe BB doesnt like to be put in the phototheraphy machine, but we got to try for their own good..my Boy's skin got so dry & I cried so much seeing him so poor thing.

Are u BF now or on FM? in any case, even if u're on BF, try give BB a bit of water to keep BB hydrated. If u're BF, BF more often. the more he drinks, the more he poos & pee, the better.

Also since it's ur own mum, easier to talk to. whatever u're unhappy abt, tell ur mum. Dun cry too much k..

My confinement is ending...counting down 5 more days! Happy happy! Also looking forward to bring BB out, shopping, etc...but at the same time quite apprehensive, scare i later cannot handle bb when outside...Main concern is if he needs milk & I cant find a nursing room in time how??...& u koe how impatient these little ones are..they'll then starting screaming & crying..

yesterday i celebrated jake's full month...but something bad happen and involve the police.my friend's bag lost and another money lost!when they place their bags in my room.i was really too busy entertaining and cant remember who left at what time etc.my mom was angry too...i have invited a thieve to my house!i really feel so bad...

i tried giving pacifier, but BB dun want too..but he likes to suck his hands & my Breast!! 'diao.. myabe he doesnt like this avent pacifier..intending to try a differnt brand maybe pigeon or nuk pacifier .. (my cousin tells me her bb gal doesnt like pigeon pacifer but takes avent pacifier. )

yesterday i was also quite upset. My MIL comments that my baby only wan her cos when she carry him he usually wont cry and will wait for his milk to be ready (need time to heat up my bm). When i carry he will cry and search for my breast.

My MIL say hte baby keep wan to stick to her. Heard liao upset. Then i told her baby cry when i carry cos baby knw that i can give him him immed (cos i latch him). THat may be due to my smell. For my MIL baby knw need to wait mah. Then she keep quiet.

Dun care about your MIL u must SHOW her that u you are not easily bully! the Free Voucher i get it from ABBOTT that time someone posted the Reg Free Gift. Then i reg lor. they give me this Voucher. You have it? I got 2 of it they send me. I think 1 is for me to use another one is for us to give to other people. cus 1 baby can use 1 voucher nia. cannot use 2 times.

My baby having his full mth next sat. Hope everything went well. Actually for my baby full mth we didnt follow chinese calender. We follow english one. If follow chinese one i should have done it today. My MIL inisited that we 10 Jan cos my baby born on 10 Dec. So we just stick to 10 Jan loh.

my bb got jaundice from day 3 onwards.. today day 7 liao. on day 6, ytd.. PD say her jaundice level went up fr 11 on day 3 to 18.5 on day 6 lor. No choice so rented the Pep Bed hm to do photo-therapy at hm. Bery hard pain cos she cried for many hours b4 finally sleeping in it.

She on BM supplement w FM. oreadi tried give her water, hopefully able to flush out the jaundice soon. the pep bed not cheap lei.. Tml going back to PD for review agn.. gotta pray hard she co-operates.. and stay inside.

mine too. only realise got jaundice after we brought him for checkup on day 6.

Day 3 was prob still at early stage, hence tts y ur day 6 checkup level higher. But dun worry, think PD says day 6-8 is the peak, hence once it peaks, it shd go down. & once it goes down, it shdnt come up again w proper care(i.e feed more, drink more & poo/pee more)

Mine took 2 wks after xmas before the jaundice level went down to safe level...but we only kept up the PEP treament for 1 wk cos the subsequent reviews the jaundice level starting declinng, also bcos the PEP rental not cheap ahh..

Ur bb needs u the most now. Be strong k!
 
Ivy i think robinson. btw i tried to do for my gal. and FAIL! i think i will buy the clay from popular. my experience is wait for them to sleep then do. DO legs are must easier. for hands wait for them to grow older abit ba.

huh..failed?? I have yet to use the kit that i purchased fr robinsons..how come fail ah?

Today went to Carousel for buffet brunch. I am the least worthy of the buffet. so many things cannot eat, duck cannot eat, chilli cannot eat, beef cant eat, sashimi can eat, seafood cant eat.. sigh!!! Bringing Zach out really is a skill to be acquired. He was latched on at 10am till 10.40am - most of the time he is sleeping. Then we abt to leave at 11am, he cry to be fed again..this time round he open his eyes n suck all the way..but we were late liao, so halfway, we left.. reached hotel, 12noon, he alr cry for milk..arrghh..and then pooped summore. Worse is the hotel dun even hv a nursing room, hv to change him on the toilet counter top.Sigh.

Tmr we will try to bring him out to distribute cakes to colleagues. Hopefully he will be in better mood. Now will try to bring him out once a while so that he can get used to it.. wat do u guys think?

Oh.. we went to Kiddy Palace and bought a light weight stroller (Capella) and a matching infant car seat. The Peg Perego and MaxiCosi stroller n car seat tat we have is too heavy and big!! Waste my $800 for that 2 items..sian.
 
Jo, calm down okay.. dun cry! Just ignore ur MIL..today I onie gave an earful to my parents and siblings. They are so terrible, alr last nite, Zach was trying hard to sleep, the moment they step in the house, they wake him up..then today at the hotel, he also trying to sleep, they also wake him up..alr told them bb need to sleep at least 18hrs aday.. cannot dun sleep, y cant they udnerstand. Siao one lor..

Anyway, u just be strong.. ur MIL must hv said sumthing terrible till ur mom oso cried.. dun despair. At least u hv ur hubby's support.

Dun be bothered too much by ur MIL or mother comments. They have different upbringing from us. They got their own belief too. Hard to change their viewpoint just as hard to change ours too.

If they have our interests at heart and nag at us, then we perhaps can still listen to them. But if they never care for us genuinely then I dun think we need to bother ourselves over their comments.

Baby swimming: My gal love swimming. She enjoys swimming alot. So I sign up the package. Perhaps u can go for the trial 1st, see if your bb like it or not. Cause I saw that not every baby enjoy swimming.

Fabbie, how old ur baby liao? I only dare to bring my baby go swimming at her 2 months. Already got an earful from my mum liao.

I think swimming really good for baby motor skills. My daughter successfully flip from back to tummy yesterday night n she lifted her head so high up. Very cute. We are too fascinated by her fast development that we forgot to take shots. She is not yet 3 months old.
 


ypg, when u say 2 months old, does that mean pass bb's first month and is between the 1st and 2nd month? or after bb's 2nd mth? Sorry ah.. i know it sounds stoopid..haha

u noe, all mothers meant well, however, i felt that those older generations have different way of bringing up babies than modern mummies like us. For us, we will always refer to books, to online etc.. like today, my mom commented tat bb always will never hv enuf if latch on. i really wanted to reply her, if bb not enuf, can he grow so tall now? U also commented he put on weight, all these while is latched on, no formula. How u explain it? But i never lar.. juz keep quiet. I know such comments will hv more to come. If i cant take it, i will say, i hv my own way of bringing up my son..i will not be giving face one lor..haha
