yeah!!! My mum is discharge from hospital liao!!
ypg, same same..i also gog to get maid for my parents soon..my mum got "feng si" somemore quite bad and my dad eyesight is totally gone..so really need to get maid to do the housework chores..lucky i stay nearby..so anything i can hop over and see see..as for maid wise..my mum will help to monitor her. So where u gog to get maid? Which country one more better ah?
Sling: that kind of sling is like machim like carrier? seems to me that way..my hb like to carry my boi till he hate when i ask him to take stroller..he just simple reject my suggestion to take stroller out from car boot! how much is that sling? Phyl, why no good for long distance? shoulder pain ah?

eh.. not shoulder pain.. but coz the carrier has no support for the baby ma.. so i think its not good to put them in long term.. u should tell ur hubby to let gerrad sit in stroller.. now he still small, nevermind.. if dun train stroller next them 1-3yrs old liao.. heavy leh.. kekekeke...

phyl, oic..hmm..okok..i am using pupsik everyday to carry him to my parent's place leh..what u think the support of that compare to pupsik? Ya lor! My hb damm jialut one! I told him cannot let gerard get use to it, that time we have difficult time..he refused to listen! cfm i am not gog to carry him when he want bao bao..instead sitting stroller..btw, i cannot find the bp for that carrier leh

I got my maid fr Home Employment Service Centre. They r part of the Budget Home Group. Chen Liping advertise for the agency. They dun hv soft copies of maid biodatas. So gotta go down to their agency personally to select. They hv branches at Katong, East Coast, Hougang, Thomson, Bukit Timah, Jurong, Upper Bukit Timah and Woodlands.
If looking for Indonesian maid, best to select those fr East Java.

- Philipines maid is clever and smart. They are fast learner and know to react when ur baby is sick and etc .. However, as they are too smart, u need to closely monitor them (once in a while they will come out with some sort of probs for u)Apart frm tat they are great helpers.. Get those with kids .. Do not hire those with working experience in Hkg or Taiwan .. They're well paid and work less..
- Indonesian maids are much obedient .. but they're not tat smart and need lots of guidance and patient ..
So, u got to weight which one works out well for ur family ..

Nowadays i find my gal very sticky to me. Whenever she's with my maid, and i passed by the room, if she saw me ignoring her, she will cry. When i step into the room, she'll open her arms wide, like asking me to carry. Once i carry her, she'll stop crying.
She's also scared of strangers. Nowadays whenever we brought her to Hwa Xia for swimming, she'll start crying when the shop assistant started to exercise her arms. Then she couldn't stop crying even when put her inside the water. Only after we took her out fr the water, after changing her, after i carry her, then she'll stop. Cry until machiam like we torturing or abandoning her like that. Haiz.. Think we hv to stop going to Hwa Xia for the moment, or even stop completely. I still hv 4 sessions left.

i agree with evanmummy. Philipine maid is smarter and easier to teach..They can also read instruction manuals, cookbooks, elderlycare, babycare books etc so can be useful. Best is to interview them and ask them questions relating to emergencies and see their reply.
However, they expect more at times..asking for new clothes, more call cards etc..so must control n best not to give off day if they are new in sg... they make friends really easily.
Indo maid are more obedient n for elderly care, most can tolerate more hardwork and constant naggings...coz my grandma is really one tough cookie..she got the clean freak illness.her maid washes from day till night..
