Today so tired I took urgent leave coz yesterday Randall toss n turn n keep talking non stop dun want to sleep. Arch everyday lidat I sure have premature aging

I rec'd a text msg frm one of my galfriend whose boi is 6mos old, he was admitted to KK hospital due to this sickness call kawasaki...it start with fever, then rashes, initially, they tot that the fever was due to teething & rashes due to heat...even the PD didnt know that it was kaswasaki disease till he was admitted to KK on the 7th day, KK did a blood count then confirmed it. she was saying that if it was discovered beyond the 10th day, her boi would hv to take painkiller for the rest of his life... she told me to let all mothers know about this & insist on a blood test in the hospital if any babies have fever & rashes...
 
Ya Jowin, I got pretty bad hives a mth ago 'cos of the construction of a new condo next to ours PLUS I'm sensitive to dust. If the place is dusty, I'll start to itch like mad.

Hey mummies, can i chk something? When do you all intent to stop sterilizing baby bottles? I am wondering if its necessary once baby starts on semi-solids.. most times i don't see people sterilizing bowls/spoon/cups.. so seems strange to just sterilize bottles.. rite?

I dun think it can be taken out. I believe that its connected. You can try to alter yourself but I really can't guarentee that can.

Yes that's what I heard too. I already stop sterilising my breast pump parts. But still sterilise the bottles, especially those which have been storing milk in the fridge for a while. Cos the milk is already not so 'fresh'. But anything that touches freshly pumped milk, I no longer sterilise.
 
That is a good question. I'm also wondering how much longer do I've to sterilise the bottles and feeding stuff since Bryan is fast approaching 6mths old (YES!! 6mths!!! time flies) and I'll need my current sterilising plate for coversion into a food warmer instead (I bought the Pigeon multi purpose sterilier, warmer).
 
bur, now i m worried when u posted that statement! Zach had fever few weeks ago and he had rashes too..

All babies are vulnerable to the germs that cause diarrhoea and vomiting, and so it is best to continue sterilising bottles and teats (and breast pump equipment) until your baby is one year old and has built up more resistance to bacteria generally. The recommended age for starting solids is now six months, and bowls, plates and spoons can generally be cleaned using your usual washing-up method from this age...

for my case, i only stop sterilizing my elder boy's bottles when he reached 3YO (kiasi)... and for the feeding equipment, i dun sterilize but will use hot water to rinse for a while before using...

yes.. the doc said might be food or dust allergy. I have to monitor. Last 3 weeks, i had a very bad hives that just exploded badly.. Touchwood. this time.. its much better.. only a few.
 
what toy is that? ya, it depends .. u must monitor the prices ... the only thing bad about a Leapfrog spree is the shipping ... they ship in very big boxes ... I know cos I've joined a few sprees AND I've also ever ordered on my own from the website ... they like to pack in big boxes with loads of empty space ... the shipping can be quite high.

So if the toy u want can get here and it is big and bulky ... then better to just buy from here.

read smting abt platform. snowger, u getting platform ah? my platform is pretty high. abt 7-10". cant remember clearly. my designer told mi its ok as long as not whole living covered wif platform.

abt kawasaki disease. there r certain characteristics one. fever, rash, strawberry tongue. they will need to receive IVIG infusion as well as take aspirin to avoid blockages of their bld vessels. an echogram will b ordered at 14daes of disease to ensure heart not affected by it.

its recommended to stop sterilizing when bb reachs 1yo. bowls & spoons we don sterilize but at home, i will pour hot water over it b4 i let my boi use.

wat sam say is true. leapfrog charge alot for shipping. end up d toys which i get from spree almost same price as sg. mtie as well get it here unless u got fren gg over den ask them buy. i get my cousin to buy for mi nowadays n my uncle helps mi bring it back. hehe.

The mat is a hand-me-down from my boss and I'm glad I take it. So far, Bryan loves to flip on it and look at all the different colours and animals and it is really cushy. During the gathering I think 2nd baby and fifi told some mummies where to get it.

last nite cant post!! Very stress... i miss my pumping schedule yesterday at work cos my boss keep talking non-stop. Super sian sian sian..
I wanna resign liao without looking for a job! I onie need 6more weeks before Zach turns 6mths old and hopefully by then he will outgrow his allery but now i hv no choice except to BF him exclusively and i really really need to establish my supply and with the haywire meeting schedule (as and when) it is quite difficult..hb is oso supportive provided i hv to curb my spending liao.. i calculated, shuld be still self sufficient for the next 6mths
 
fifi, i do want to take no pay leave (6weeks) but seriously doubt my boss will allow. She super dun understand or she chose not to understand. I told her last week abt Zach's allergy and 3 diff PD advised to BF exclusively, abt me wanna pump every 3hrs to build n increase supply, she juz merely look at me n say "oh..tat's bad. Last time i oso wanna breastfeed but give up after 2 mths cos no time at all to pump at work"

She has really poor time management that also affects her subordinates.. all of us are always on standby mode. Dunno what time she is free, meeting scheduled at 10am..she can drag till 1pm onie last minute come to us n say "lets meet now!" ..

Oh dear, your boss sounds really terrible and uncaring! Can you talk to your company HR about taking no pay leave? Maybe they will be more understanding.
 


echo, she is a career woman, tat's y.. her kids are all taken care by nanny and at nite hb is the one tat go pick them up..she work till 10 to 11plus every nite.. i used to be like her but now got bb liao, is diff priority alr
