mayb u r too stressed lately tat cos the haywire. do try to relax then baby will be on the way. u still have time to get a rabbit baby.

no wor, glaucoma can also hit younger ones. my hub no hv, it's his uncle and he got it at a fairly young age, cos i guess he never seek proper treatment so the condition worsen and now he's lost vision in 1 of his eyes.

Mummies end up with more milk in their 2nd n subsequent pregnancies could be due to a more relax attitude that they hv towards bf? This is assuming that all goes well, and mummy is drawing from previous experience? Well, this was my case.

Usually if fed for very long for #1 and #2 is not that long after, will have more milk. My supply now is also crazy. Need to feed super regularly plus need to pump to clear. Can even pump 100+ml easily after feeding (not total pumping... just ching chai clear some more after certain feeds).

But more supply = worst engorgement and blocks. Sigh.
 
Lucas had all the junk food last nite ... spicy muruku, dried cuttlefish, gummy sweets, ice-cream and ba bao san follow by his milk (sample pack expiring on 7Oct10). Middle of the night he vomitted three times ... this morning after his milk, he cried and vomitted again. I was saying it shld be the junk food he had last nite but my hb argues say its bcos of the milk powder sample pack (He and PIL are the one who gave all the junk food) ... what do u all think? Haiz.

oh ya, if u want peace of mind, y not bring her to the polyclinic &amp; ask for a referral? if the doctor knows ur hub got family history of glaucoma, they will readily refer u to the eye centre. it's @ kkh &amp; the doctor r pretty good.

Oh dear. I tink should be the junk food lah. Cos the milk sample not yet expired right? By right, even after date of expiry, the food will still hv shelf life of another few more days. Poor thing. His stomach not used to disgesting that sudden big amount of junk food. Bring him to doc, then ask the doctor the cause? Let the doc tell your hub and PIL off for giving the junk food.

You know those indian snack .. the orangy color with leaves kind? murukku ...

My hb brought him to the doc already ... doc says its viral infection - I guess the junk food (spicy murukku and ice-cream) then ba bao san and milk leads to it? Yup the doc told my hb even milk powder expired still can take one. The milk powder sample pack will expires on 7Oct (next wk) so that is definitely not the cause.

Hope my hb will realise himself that viral infection is due to the junk food? Juz now continue to argue with mi tell mi his dad's shop fresh milk must be cleared off the shelves three wks before expiry date ... I told him fresh milk and milk powder are processed differently .. y milk powder can stored for 1-2yrs and fresh milk must be refrigerated for 2-3mths only.

I remm there was a day when my gal not yet fully recovered from her cough, i got home earlier than usual as my hubby fetch me from office, moment stepped into the house i saw MIL jus about to giv her icecream.. Then my husband told MIL wah gena caught lei.. Of cos i stopped her from giving.. Haiz....

I dunnoe how they think ... is the poor little boy who will suffer if he gets sick ... if it can be Lucas eats and they fall sick, I wont even bother at all.

Last evening before PIL wanna give the spicy murukku, I already told them tt he jus poo-ed and the stool like abit orangy red and I said cld be the spicy murukku he took the night before .. they still give it to him ... as if I spoke to the wall like tt. I told my hb to stopped giving him ice-cream after one bite and at least he listens.

Maybe must tell them sarcastically they love to see their grandchildren fall sick ... cough non-stop, vomit or diarrhea until dehydrated then they feel a sense of happiness issit?

Anyway remm my gal was a water bb last time..? lately she has taken a dislike for plain water liao -_-.. only like flavoured water.. so most time giving her the apple juice cooked by MIL, or if at my mum's place e veg+fruit juice (no artificial sugar content) and i'll normally dilute it with some water.. Jus wondering if its ok she drinks this type of water thruout e day? Otherwise plain water 1 sip nia she no wan le.. so lately her poo poo getting harder liao.. Or would glucose b a better choice?

He had one big bite and few licks of the ice-cream. And viral infection shld be caused by the combination as u mentioned. Last wk he was still having phelgm ... so I bought ba bao san ... but he hasnt got time at home in the morning for ba bao san 1hr after milk then need go sch ... so I cld only give him in the evening .. an hr before his milk time. So need to give him ba bao san over 6 evenings loh.

Ur gal drinks fruit juice for the whole day? I think one small cup everyday is ok .. not too much. Since she refuse plain water ... get Delrosa Rosehip syrup which pple do gives if the child totally refuse plain water and it contains vitamin C but got sugar content too. So jus scoop a little and dilute with lots of water .. as long as got taste and she drinks can liao.

Dun tink your hub will link the viral infection to the junk food. To them, virus means germs, so must be expired food tat gave him the bacteria. They won't tink that the junk food cos your boy to hv reaction and then get viral infection.

Yes... tink you should be more firm. But then again, since they helping you look after Lucas also got to handle situation with care. Cos scared to offend them. After all it's PIL wor. Not own parents.

Recently Baby J3 also wanting to take more of those sweet drinks. So I will dilute half part water to half part sweet drink. But sometimes my mom &amp; dad will give her to drink direct from the can. *eerrkks* No matter wat, I will insists they give her more plain water cos it's better for body cleansing. If you wanna give glucose water must make sure your MIL dun make the drink till super sweet lor.

talking abt maid i oso frus with mine. y'day went to MIL's hse was told V fell down under maid's care and she got a big cut on her lower lip and bleed quite alot, and now got a swell on the lip as well. so pissed dun know how she takes care of her let her fall until like tat and everytime i oso never blame her after V fell. then y'day she still got the cheek to ask me if i had bought for her the phone card!! si bey TL man... i din even question her how V fell and in her mind she only cares when i will buy the phone card for her. TMD

I hope u havent bought her the phone card ... juz tell her u have been so busy thinking day and night why she has been looking after your gal and ur gal wld still fall down. Simply ignore her request until u think she can really concentrate on handling ur gal well.

i actually bought the phone card liao and wanted to give her y'day, but upon seeing my gal's bad cut i got angry and decided not to give her the card now. like u said if she can't concentrate on taking good care of my gal, i oso can't concentrate abt entertaining her request for anything.

she doesn't call, she uses the phone card to sms only. dun know how much she sms-es a day cos she keeps the phone and she pays for her own phone card. i wonder if i'm too relaxed liao to let her keep her own phone.

Wah piangz leh. The maid really attitude problem leh. Let your gal fall down until like that still got cheek to ask for her damn phone card. Nowadays the maid's interests are not in-line with ours. that's the main problem. Our aim when we hire them is to look after kids and house. But their goal when they are hired is to do as minimal work as possible but at maximum wage. At same time, wanna worm more extras and freebies out of us as possible. Really crap!

Where in the world got such job except out SG maids? They are paid workers to do be our housekeeper and childminder. But on top of their salary we even cover their lodging, food, groceries and stupid personal stuffs like their calling cards, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush and even sanitary pads. All these not including their paid medical and dental benefits, home leave, insurance and others. We even have to pay the bloody govt levy. Total expenses on them is nearly $800 every month and yet despite this 'investment' they can break their contract anytime and we have to bear the dumb airfare back. Where is the justice??!!

Benefits of their job? THey ill-treat our kids we cannot do anything. Report to our govt, they will just repatriate the maid. No jail, no punishment. They ill-treat our old folks we cannot do anything. Report to our govt, they will just repatriate the maid. They accuse us of abuse, molest, etc. Report to govt, we kena investigation. If maid is found to be in the wrong, govt will just repatriate them. No jail no punishmenet again. Haiz.

Sorry for all the ranting... just totally frustrated with maids. It's because our govt side with them so much that they take advantage of us.

I cant agree more with u.

Yesterday my fren sms mi ... maid got MC anot? I say maid dun have MC de lah ... if they are sick we jus need to bring them see doc ... for the day, we jus cant expect too much from them since they are sick. She told mi my maid go see doc and was given MC leh. My fren has already been having problems with this maid who always come out with alot of patterns ... according to her contract, she got no off days but she say she v bored and requested off days .. everyday take care of her 7-8mths old boy but didnt even know the boy already can sit up liao ...Anyway my fren is waiting for her new maid and will send this home end of next mth.

agree, agree and agree... if our govt can't sort out all these maid issues for us, then don't expect us to have more kids cos we can't depend on these pple to care for our kids.

and im frus at the fact that im stopping myself from ranting at the maid cos i really scare she ill treats my gal! i can't take the risk, haiz... damn it.

ya lor, indirectly it seems to be, at least for my case it is, and if dun hv good helpers then dun wan to hv more kids to make myself worry.
well, got to see how. have to put V in school 1st then we can think of getting rid of the maid, else my MIL wouldn't be able to cope alone as she needs to do marketing and cooking.
wanna ask u how does yr mum cope with K alone, does she cook dinner too?

My dad returns from work at abt 4-5pm, so she can start preparing dinner for t family while K go super-glue to him.
My grandmother is also around helping to 'entertain' K.
Actually their method of entertaining K is veri simple... turn on TV cartoon =_= (gek sim but bo bian)
Other than that, my mum doesn't have to worry about marketing for K's food. I do marketing every wkend and portion them nicely for daily use. Vegetables are pureed and frozen. Downside, K has to take porridge every day cos my mum dun cook other stuff for her

I think u can do without a maid, but u have to take over some chores from your MIL lor. Or consider putting V in sch earlier? K is going for half-day in Dec.

TV cartoon is bo bian wan, my mil turns on almost whole day to entertain V, but still sometimes V will walk and run abt so still need supervision.
and MIL cooks separate lunch &amp; dinner for V and our dinner, so maid has to accompany her when MIL is busy in the kitchen.
how come K still eat pureed veg? she doesn't bite much?
ya we can certainly do w/o a maid but only if V goes to CC, and before tat i hv to land myself a job 1st in order to entitle myself to the subsidy. and cos of this i wish i can be working again soon. haiz

I puree &amp; freeze the vege so that K can have a variety of vege to eat everyday. My mum is not able to go to market to get her fresh vege daily and also may not have time to cut them finely for K (if t vege is not chop finely, K wun eat, she dun like vege)
So, for t benefit of my mum and K, puree is t next best thing lor

Huh? Maid got MC? First time I hear of such things leh. Why... the maid scared the employer dun let her rest or what? Whenever my maid is sick, I will let her rest for 2-days.

No need to rant at her. Just tell her off firmly. Say if she let it happen again, no more calling cards. We must be let them know that such behaviour will not be tolerated. If the fall was an accident, fine. But she must do her job of caring for your gal. Cannot let such thing happen again.
 
3jems, ah lian, ah jes: i itchy finger, went to organise a california baby spree, total value of purchase is almost S$300 but now the parcel still hasn't arrived after almost 4 weeks. ppl r asking me for refunds. but 1 kind mummy asked me to keep her share cos she doesn't want me to have to shoulder the whole burden. she's really kind. stupid derma doctor. hate them. i want to tell everybody, don't ever order things from them again.

fortunately, stan chart is giving $100 cash back for new applicants so i am going to make exception &amp; apply for 1 more card. i cut down to 4 already cos i hate having so many. but need to earn back tt money. haiz.

ah jes: ur maid looked quite all right tt day but i guess looks r deceiving. &amp; u r really kind to her lor. my husband will shout if he sees them using hp, let alone buy card for them. when's her contract expiring? btw, i'll be meeting some external lawyers these few days but from local firms. u interested in local firm? if so, i ask them. think many firms v short of para-legal.

ah lian: K still eating pureed veg? like my G &amp; aly_nat's nat. ok, so he is not so bad after all. aiya, PG all full till jan next yr. i guess in the meantime will jus bring him on playdates. sorry to say my hubby like venice more than K leh :p he said she so cute &amp; chatty. so when i said have playdate w V, he said YES YES YES! will chio moomummy &amp; RCB too.

She is too clever to be a maid here .. still know how to ask for MC. Think she is juz finding excuses ... I believe if you start to let them rest whole day kind... cant imagine how many days of MC these maids will take each mth. Nt tt I'm unsympathetic but simply cant trust maids nowadays. One of my problematic maid early this yr pretend to faint in the toilet when she is washing clothes half way thru. Call her for few times she can sit down and talk until so pityful.

Oh dear... So you now refunding everyone for their purchase? Did you chase the supplier for the goods? If they have already shipped the parcel over should have some paper work to verify ther claims. You may also wanna post your emails to the supplier on the forum to show the other mommies that you are not cheating their money. Haiz... guess the mommies who hv not rcv their goods are worried also cos recently SMH got quite a few cheating cases.

Yah. Agree... tat maid is too smart. Also agree dun always give them rest whole day cos maids are smart. Will start coming out with lots of pattern to laze about. For me, I only give them whole day to rest only if they certified unfit by doctor. No doctor visit = fit to work. If they claim they are unwell and I bring them to doctor and then the doctor said no problem, that the maid is ok and fit to work, I will make them pay the medical fees. Cos I ever got 1 maid who keeps asking to see doctor for minor minor things. Then when I imposed this rule, she suddenly gets better. No more seeing doctor.

y'day my hub "interrogated" her abt V's fall, she got so scared until she cried a little. buay tahan just asking her to relate the accident only dun know why she thought we wanna call police to catch her... she told us she dun wan to go to jail. seow char bo wan, we never threaten her to call police what.

right lor, i can accept that the fall is purely an accident, but i oso wanna let her know it doesn't mean this kind of accidents can happen often. i told her i didn't wan to blame her entirely but this time round V's cut is a real bad wan and she shd watch her more firmly, and dun dream on the job.

i think K is a good match for Luke becos Luke is more bubbly &amp; K is quieter than him. must always have balance. but my G is too quiet. which is y V helps to draw him out cos she's so chatty. it's like my husband &amp; me. he's v chatty &amp; i'm quieter.

Lucas's birthday also falls on 27th Oct. He is still gg sch as usual and also celebrating his birthday w his frens ... doesnt means birthday means no need go sch! Haha. But will bring him for a nice dinner w family in the evening.
