u can go eat prata at hougang point, ah mei's cafe. i find their prata not bad wan, then follow up with a cup of kopi or teh... wonderful
 
Prata ... my must-hav every weekend or at least every 2 wks.

Not tempted by prata cos I had mine e day before .. haha.

where did u go for ur refresher driving course? i have not been driving for many yrs. i want to pick up again so i can drive my gals ard...dun want to depend on my hb and his "mood". hehee

refresher teacher is my hubby lor.. he ask me to drive & practise at those industrial big carg..park ... kaka... practise make perfect... keep driving , u will build the confident to drive.

both ur car auto one?? if auto one is so much easier... than manual one. which i was forced to learn... or else u two go for school refresher course. i tink they have such course for pple like us... but 1 ting for sure, the hb must be prepared la.. haa... for some scratches etc... or else u drive their car also stressed up. kakaka...

ya, auto. actually my hb want me to pick up driving again. but i dun want him to teach me leh. i bet he will "nag" at me and end up sure quarrel. heehee

u dun care lor, jus let yr hub nag and u 1 ear in the other ear out, haha. but if it's good advice then of cos u keep in mind lah. when i refreshed my driving with hub as "instructor" too, he nagged oso and at times i was quite pissed but dun care lah, cos its true and easier to just pick up this skill from the guys lor.

but one thing good is my hub told me dun be afraid if i really scratch the car so that gave me alot more confident, haha

I dun think I will pick up driving again unless there is really a need. After I learnt to drive, I preferred to be chauffeured around. I get blur and panic easily when driving.

sama sama.. haha.. he is prepared for the "worst" & really one day the car kissed the wall & he nv say anyting.. phew.. & yah.. sometimes got some conflicts over direction... when i am driving. while am concentrating on driving & he supposed to direct me to where we are going. he always tell me too late....

ya quite stressful to drive with those experienced pple sitting beside u de.. u will get comment like.. watch out.. too near the kerb... u did a too sharp turn... u drive too slow etc... but all these, really need alot of practise to make perfect & familiar on driving. til date i do feel abit stressful to chaffeur these pple. haa.. if can i of cos prefer to be the passenger.. but sometimes if u can drive urself, is better la. cos u can go out urself with the car.. v convenient especially if u got kiddo..

i'm worst, got once i "brushed" the car against a stupid brick pole when parking and hub got to spend $ repairing the slight dent. and that lot has sinced been blocked out, guess i'm not the only victim, hehe

get a GPS? then no need to worry abt directions. we recently bought one, its very useful for pple like me who is a direction idiot, haha.

it's normal to feel stressed and panicky with hub beside us, so tat time i told hub when i'm driving he better dun open mouth, unless we are in serious danger of getting into an accident. then if i got mistakes he wld tell me after we got off the car.

Driving,
I love driving NOT in SG, but in Australia. Can lower the windows and enjoy the fresh air. Driving in SG is really stressful even for 'experienced' (been driving since I got license in '97) drivers. Feel SG drivers are too agressive. End up I drive more on the defensive. Constantly hv to check my rear and side windows to 'be prepared'. Especially scared of those taxis.

Mommies, just need to practise more. Practise makes perfect. When I started out, I had 3 back seat drivers constantly yelling. Thank God I 'graduated' from Ubi. So I'm already used to heavy traffic. But all the advises provided during my early days has prepared me well. Now my dad says I drive like a man' Very garang. *lolz*

i tink its ok u start to drive during daytime too, cos visibility is better and u will feel less stress. like Ali said, start with non-crowded roads and shorter distance. u can make it de, jia you ok.

hi-5, i'm graduated from Ubi too.. alot of traffics.. big vehicles. then hor... i took the 4th time to pass one hor. hhahaa.. almost wanna give up..
