thanks! i tell u my boy also super 汗宝宝like your nini.. he will toss here and there if we never on aircon. But no choice for his health we just have to do that lor.. usually will give him something light to wear and blast the fan to him.. he can breath better and less runny nose in the next morning.. try try lah.. as u and ur hubby, if really hot can just take off everything and sleep lor... wakaka...

nuts, for me is true one leh coz i also dun on aircon for ethan unless very very hot then i on awhile.. coz i find him getting runny nose or cough if he slept in aircon room...

yes i understand.. if given e choice i would like her to sleep in non-aircon as much as possible as well.. 1 other problem when she sleeps in my room is.. my room face the main road.. so its VERY VERY NOISY.. with all the cars/bus and stupid motorbikes vrooming past. So even if i dun on the aircon i'll normally closed the window.. then al the more the room gets stuffy lor.. then after a while she'll wake up whiny cos it gets stuffy even if the fan is on.. I dun usually blast the fan cos i tot too much wind wont b good for her flu/cough as well
 
Hiya although i dun post, i m still reading ur replies! Just thought i say something abt Peanut's aircon case.

Aircon rooms are always dryer, even with a humidifier on. even if u situate the humidifier next to Nini, it might actually make things worse. cos u cannot ensure that the humidity is constant so sometimes her nose will produce too little mucus, or too much mucus. more over viruses and bacteria live longer in cooler enviroment (that's why flu cases always spike in winter). coupled with kids' nasal and breathing passages being smaller and easier to get congested, this is prob why she is falling sick so oftn.

Seriously, i have nv heard abt wind being bad or causing flu (else we will all suffer!). Z gets blast by a fan every night till he wakes up in the morning. i know of another mummy in this thread that has 3 fans in the room. one for her, one for her hb and one for her son! hehe.. dun worry abt it. try it and see how.
 
umm.. reason i said that is becos i'm one with sinus problem and i found that sometimes when i blast the fan, my block/runny nose get worst at nite, and it only gets better when i turn it down. But yah i'll try it out tonite and see if my gal is ok with that arrangement. Thanks for all the advises!

Peanut, hahah ur nose is adapted to aircon. Can u tahan slping without? May be Nini needs more rigorous training.

haha u r wrong!!! i seldom sleeps in aircon cos my hubby doesn't like it, unless its really hot.. I normally only on aircon when Nini sleeps in our room which is over the weekends.

if it's due to your aircon being too cold n nini falls sick, then it's just a cold/chill. One should recover relatively fast, and is usually w/o fever. Flu, accompanied by fever, is usually caused by virus.
As for sleeping in aircon while having a blocked nose, hv u considered installing those units that work with water? I understand that they are more cooling than fan, n not as drying as aircon.
My gals sleep with the fan, and I keep their room door open, for better ventilation.

ya, it is temporary effect, u have to use 3 times a day. Normal nasal drops can get from pharmacy, however Sinomarin Monodose can only get from clinic i think.

yes i suspect she got the flu from someone else and not caused by chill at nite.. But i'll stil try out the fan tonight and see how it goes.. since she's feeling unwell and i dun wan aircon to worsen it.

oh..i hope nini will recover soon..apparently it's Mav this round & really non-stop, my mum bot him to see 2 rounds of GP, not recover then now my mum brought him to see chinese sinseh..i tell u the bottles of medications given are same size as our adult version..the bigger bottle sized ones..see liao also scary..but sian leh..i cannot understand why..to my mum hor, her thinking is bcoz i m "ti-key" so my kids falling sick easily..sigh..numb..
