Good morning ladies!!

Glad_gal, thanks for sharing your birth story. I didnt know that with assisted delivery, the tear below will be more jialut!!!

Joyce, VIncy - I didnt know natural birth will take so long to recover also?? I tot only 2-3 days. If that is the case, isnt it the same as C-section?? Or is it only for assist delivery?? Getting abit worried now!! Pain down there is no joke lay, I rather my belly pain, then my down there pain lor!!

RE: Weight loss
Yap, I experience abit of weight loss during my last visit to gynae but after checking, everything seems ok.

Sabre
On and off, I also feel sore down there even when sitting down or lying down. I guess it is normal cos of bb weight.

Bear, Kash - I am not a good mummy...too lenient le, and I allow my dogs to climb all over my head de!! :p ...everytime want to scold them hor, if they give me the puppy look, I will melt lor. I rather be strict if you ask me...but I cannot lay!!

Sabre - have been feeling sore down there for many days le, sometimes even have problem walking abt...think its because of the weight all pressing down.

Val - Your baby super BIG!!!! Show pict!!!

Morning mummies...

Waiting for bb to wake up. Feel tired and hot. Havent bath since Mon. I think tonite will wash hair and bath liao, cannot take it.

Val: Congrats!!

Bear: The contractions were painful but I felt the 'pushing' was even worse than the contractions...

GreenGrape: The midwife will explain to you how to push correctly - it's just that coz I was in pain so very hard to follow!!!

Joyce/Dymples: Thks for sharing your experience. Dymples, your previous tear sound pretty bad!! Tml will be visiting gynae to check the wound - so far trying to keep it 'clean', but yah really quite sore!

Will post some bb photos later! Take care all!

tears down under - for mi my gynae cut rather let it natural tear as she say cut le neater n nicer when sewn back. somemore i not very big size n got a 3.58kg bb the first time, so no matter wat hole definitely not big enough for her to come out.

leaking and discharge down under - during my 2nd tri i will leak sometimes when i sneeze, now 3rd tri not so often but still have.

this few days i also feel that hor there seems to have a lot of mucus discharge, wonder if tats the mucus plug.

Tears down under - do you feel pain when the gynea stitch it?? Any anesthetic used before stitching? I cant imagine the pain if the stitiching done without anesthetic.

morning mummies,
it finally rained last nite!! a lil cooler today..really hope e weather stays cool throughout nov and dec.=P

congrats to mummies who have popped! enjoy your motherhood journey.

carol,
tat time i was on epi so no feeling but i think if u not on epi they will inject painkiller for u before their sew.

mosh,
mucus plug suppose to b clear sticky discharge.

Gd morning! despite the gd weather i didn't get to slp in! the birds were quarreling outside my windows again!!! ARRRGGGHH!!

Congrats Val and Sumei!! Enjoying motherhood???

Carol, i dun think that makes u a bad mummy! i think u are simply a big softie when it comes to ur doggies lah.. heehee.. just like some ppl cannot tahan pets but are a big softie for kids! heehee.. i usually buy doggie food from US Doggie Bakery, now waiting for their Christmas dinner special.

Glad_gal, so pushing urge was worse than the pain? i think u have super high pain threshold leh!!

Sabre..I am not aware till now...hahaha, have been taking half boil egg daily, cause deprive during my preggie.

Carol..if u careful will be faster. For me I never use float to sit, then strain my down there. so took very long. For me C-section pain is more bearable then natural...heehee

SEX ..help dilute, another is walk more n far. I walk whole of orchard over the weekend...then Wed give birth liao.

Misaryeo, I am waiting for yr good news..: )
Val..wow 4.35kg...a very good weight..congrat.

Glad_girl> Is the pain from the tear bearable when u move ur bowels? I scared leh bc got piles. I am trying to avoid an episiotomy but bb already 3.8kg last sat, i think can't be avoided.

Val!!!!
Wow, I thought I won't hear from you again. Do report more. How is it with Dr Lee? I think Dr Lee was refering to you when he told me on Tuesday (28/10) that he heard there was a delivery. So I think it was you!!

Hello Mummies, I hope everyone is doing fine...

Me and Baby Shane have discharged and are now resting at home...

My symptoms before delivery was having frequent "show"... 4 times a day and gets more. Followed by contraction 5-7 mins...

Milderina: Are you updating the chart, my delivery mode was Natural with Epi. I endured 3 mins sereve contraction for 2 hours but gave up after that... Was like one jumping-drunken prawn on the bed... =..(

For those who have graduated, speedy recovery!
For those who are awaiting to pop, ganbatei!

For those who are breastfeeding, any milk supply?

<font color="aa00aa">Congrats to all the mommies who have popped! Take care during confinement and eat more nourishing food to "bu-sheng"</font>

<font color="aa00aa">Val</font>,
Wow!! You've got a big BB there. You delivered at how many weeks? Was it natural or C-sect delivery?

<font color="aa00aa">Misaryeo</font>,
Dun worry. It's normal to feel anxious and uncertain about handling 2 young kids. But when the time comes, your mommy instincts will take over and you'll naturally be able to handle it. But most importantly, dun fret over the small stuffs as tat can make you feel stressed and overwhlem. Take things easy and settle them one-by-one. *good luck*

<font color="aa00aa">Carol</font>,
For normal delivery, the recovery time is faster. Usually about 5-7 days. But if you get an episotomy, then recovery will take slightly longer. For me, I feel more pain cos I've got super low threshold when it comes to pain. Little bit also scream liaoz. *lol* Anyway, before they stitch you up, they will give u a jab on the thigh if you are not on epi to numb the area. So you won't feel a thing. It's only later, when the painkiller wears off. As for poo-ing after delivery, the nurse will give you some thing to soften the poo. So dun worry. For pee-ing, lean forwards slightly. This will help prevent the pee from getting to the perineal area which can cause stinging pain. HTH's

Hi fifi: mine is top load..thanks for your concern..after running the machine again..foam gone..phew...

Mummies, what exactly is contraction? sigh...why I ask because these three days, I have been having frequent BH but this time round, I experience great pain below the navel area, pubic area...very painful...and it comes evrytime when BH occurs...However, irregular timing...only about three times a day... Is that contraction or still BH as i tot BH no pain....

so experience mummies, am I due soon ? these three days was panicky for me as i still have about 5 more weeks to go and I dun know the pain is contraction or BH...it really feels like having stomach pain and menses....

Hi karen, sabre and Dymples: yah these three days, i also keep having diarrhea...aiyoh...i really hope baby dun come out now as I am not ready and Hubby is having his exams soon and papers to write....sigh...

brocoli,
i found this in baby center.

kekek...

You pass your mucus plug or notice "bloody show."
You may pass your mucus plug — the small amount of thickened mucus that has sealed your cervical canal during the last nine months — if your cervix begins to dilate as you get close to labor.

The plug may come out in a lump or as increased vaginal discharge over the course of several days. The mucus may be tinged with brown, pink, or red blood, which is why it's referred to as "bloody show." Having sex or a vaginal exam can also disturb your mucus plug and cause you to see some blood-tinged discharge, even when labor isn't going to start in the next few days.

Hubby was telling me to get ready hospital bag...hahah I dun even have the energy to do so....does any mummies feeling very tired, weak, restless and body aches these days as the EDD gets nearer....this week, I super tired, dun know why, keep sleeping but still feel tired...I really dun like the feeling.

<font color="aa00aa">BlessedMum</font>,
To me, that will still be BH contractions. Dun be surprised... but BH contractions will get progressively more painful as your EDD draws nearer. That why some mommies experience "false" labour. For real contractions, the pain will increase, the timing will become more regular and the most important thing is... the contractions will not go away. Actually, if you stand and move around, real contractions will get more painful. That's what I experience for my first 2 births. Dun panic yah... your body is now preparing you for the real thing later.

<font color="aa00aa">Re: Feeling Tired</font>,
I'm also feeling really tired and lethargic lately. No mood to do anything. Dun even feel like going out shopping... no nesting instinct. *lol* Even hub said this is unlike my usual active self. Usually I'm those who cannot sit still lor. Must keep going and be busy busy type. But now all I wanna do is... lie down, watch TV, and juz veg out.

Milderina> Thanks for the info. I do notice more discharge these few days.

Blessed Mum> Try taking essence of chicken, i also feel tired even after a short 10mins walk. I think our bodies are working extra hard now so naturally will feel more tired and aches. I recalled you are a christian, have you read the book Supernatural Childbirth?

Dymples> Keke, i have been like that for weeks, lying around, watch tv, come to forum, reading, the only 'work' i do is cooking and washing clothes.

Milderina> I also can't sleep when i wake up to pee, somemore my hubby snoring away. Sometimes very tempted to wake him up to entertain me, keke.

hi mildy: my next visit is this sat..wondering should I go tonight....

Carol, you visiting Dr A at CCK tonight? i might goto ask about my pain....

Dymples: thanks for enlightening me. You were saying about timing...how do we time the contraction? is it to time from the start when the first pain is gone to the next contraction pain?
you mentioned contraction will not go away..what does that mean?

Brocoli, so funny...when you told me that title..i find it familiar...so I went to see the books that my hubby's cousin lent me which till now, I never even took them out to read...i just went to take a look and realised I HAVE THE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..hahah is it by jackie mize...?
Why?is the book good?

<font color="aa00aa">Milderina, Brocoli</font>,
Yah yah... me too. Get up in the middle nite then cannot sleep liaoz. *faintz* Will lie on the bed and stare into the darkeness and tink all sorts of stupid and "boh-liaoz" things. *lol* Thinking of $$$ issues... how to cope... scared of delivery pain... etc. heheheh... I also feel like waking hub to keep me company cos feel so bored.

Hi mildy and Brocoli: I initially tot I am tired because I keep having broken sleep in the night...i can only fall asleep at about midnight to 1am...then will wake up about four times to wee wee or because of back aches after lying on my left the whole night...there are times I really feel like crying when I woke up at night as I really cannot stand the aches....
Then morning, I will wake up about 8 plus and feel super lethargic...like what Dymples says, no mood for anything, just want to lie in bed, sleep and rot....no more nesting insticnt which I am always in the mode....

Blessed Mum> It is a very good book, very old book already. Yah, it is the one by Jackie Mize. Very easy reading, dunno how to tell u, u go and read lah.
