your Raphael is milk monster lor .... can drink so much .. How i wish Rayden can do that as well ... Think Rayden is still celebrating CNY, that why feeling excited and refusing his milk for these few days .... Haiz ... can eat alot but dun want milk .
 


oh ya...care to share how u wean off breast milk to formula ah?
i decided to stop bf soon.... i wan to lead a normal life!! hahaaaaa..i missed my beautiful fanciful BRASSSSSSS

i thinking of introducing a feed of FM each day for a week...then increase to 2 feed for another 1-2week....
now the thing is to reduce the bm and pumps lor...
i oredi managed to be able to pump every 4hrly!! yeah!!!

hmmmm....so now thinking when to start it... maybe next week!

for me i will see wat he is holding before i take it away frm him. esp new things he got hold of, there is no chance to snatch away frm him w/o him ending up in big tears crying dwn his cheers and him screaming the whole hse dwn. unless i trade in another new thing that he has nv played with b4...sometimes i heartache to see him cry till like tt and end up giving him back...but sometimes i get so fedup i just let him cry...then my neighbour always tell my hubby my boy tend to be more well-behaved when he is ard coz whenever he is ard he dun cry as much as when i am alone with him...the recent package we signed with foto-u only has 3x8r le. if u wan all photos back in cd pay $80 on the spot and david will return u. i just gave david the photo selection i did yest so he says he will mail back to me when done...nv ask hw long it will take le. hehehe

730 nanny gives last feed of milk milk 220ml
now his pattern change last time this is the last feed liao. but these few days he needs another 100ml at 830-9pm before can sleep

2am --- wake up for milk milk
lucky days can tahan til 730am if unlucky like last nite, woke up at 430am for milk milk again...

sometimes in between feeds during the day, still eat biscuit lah / yogurt lah / fruits

hahaha. gd that u can finally drag ur pumping session every 4hrs. =) me also thinking when to intro FM...mayb mid march ba...see how...now wanna use up all the FBM in the freezer first...didnt freeze since jan liao so once the FBM used up dun think i can satisfy damien's milk demand liao coz due to laziness of pumping, supply has dropped...for once, he finished 120ml of milk yest nite aft 1.5hrs of his semi-soldis...

I read some where that you can do it gradually by not emptying all the milk off your breasts... just pump lesser out to signal your body to produce less milk.. then slowly reduce the pumped out amt.... till there's little left... then dun pump liao....

Lucas love milk milk le.. 250ml per feed..
he dun like porrigde only like cereal... so only eat half a bowl of cereal 2times per dae!.. every 3hrs he will cry for milk...even when he just finished his cereal...

I wanted to stop nursing my boy totally but I`m
facing problem in the night .
My boy always wanted to nurse to sleep in the night.
And he tend to wake up a least twice in night for comfort latching. These really disturb my sleep.
Are there ways to able to let him wean off ??

It is pretty normal for a baby to be still nursing
through the night.

A child may wean from night nursing as she gets older,
but not necessary. My elder child was still nursing
for comfort even up till 3 years old, in the night,
and was associating nursing with sleep.

Actually what I have found really beneficial so far is
to have learnt breastfeeding lying down since I had my
first child, within the first couple of days of
breastfeeding. You may want to choose to go to bed
with your baby together, and whenever it's nursing
time, it's your rest time too.

However if you really prefer to wean the child from
night feeding, you may need to involve your husband's
help. Maybe you need to have the child sleep in the
separate room with your spouse and your husband may
have to pat the child back to sleep whenever she wakes
up needing a feed. It may take around a week or so for
your child to settle into this new routine. Eventually
she should be able to sleep through.

Drink milk is good ...if he dun drink milk like my boy who only drink 120ml four times nia !!And not every feed will finish !You will get stress and headache like me

wah! jorel drinks so little ah? yes, damien also dun always finish his feed that is why my mum will try and feed him every hourly or half an hourly till he finish 1 bottle...

hmm...then hw u going to wean jorel off? SO long as when damien wans to slp @ nite and I am not in the room he will cry n fuss and wan to crawl towards the door and keep looking at the door as if waiting for me to appear. once hubby bring him to me he will be all smiles again....

Very busy these few days, My boy is down with flu and cough and now still a bit coughing.=( Just now while he is sitting, he actually slam his face against the floor, cry so loudly and his face all red.. So sim tia.. sob sob...

MIL asked why dun i put cereal into his milk in the nite to allow him to sleep longer or throughout ....but Eric and me dun like the idea loh !!

My bb is the same! And strangely it happened to my husband, my father, my FIL and my BIL only! All guys! My bb only prefers guys to carry him and he will cry and scream if any1 of them passed by him without carrying him.

My bb seems ok if i dun let him play with his toys or blar blar... but he seems to like crowds. So many days of house visiting during CNY, maybe he still thought that there will be alot of people in the house so he refused to nap these 2 days. He will play and play and play though only maid and MIL at home... My MIL says he will cry when she puts him to nap... how???

Is it true that if we feed bb more during the day, the tentancy of them sleeping throughout the night is higher???

hmmm..why dun like the idea of mixing cereal into the milk? mayb just a little to start off with and see how it goes? ya, i also cant bear to let damien cry just to wean him off latching....esp at nite...cry till so ke lian...where got heart to wean him...i have a friend with a 5mths old gal, she totally reject bottle when she is returning to wk...everytime her gal cries she gives in till she has no choice but to bring her gal to office so she can latch her...now she tendered coz she cant bear to see her gal go on hunger strike when she is at wk....

nite drink milk between 9.30 to 10.30pm

he stop waking up for nite feed after 2 and half mth.

btw, do u ladies realise tat ur bb is more sticky to u? for daryl, i realise tat he alway wan me to carry. and he prefer me than my hb lor....and he will cry if i carry other bb but hardly cry if it is my hb carrying other bb lor. then got once wen i carry daryl and my hb clap his hand wanting to carry daryl, daryl dun wan and use his hand to slap my hb hand lor...

also, daryl will cry if my hb stop or hold him back wen he move forward to me wanting me to carry him....

ya, lately my boy also more sticky to me. Cant even leave his sight for a while.if i walk pass him when my hb is carrying him, he will cry. My boy still dono how to jealous yet =)

RE: Sleeping thru
my boy still wakes up a few times every night. Give him milk then he drink a little bit then he will go back to sleep so now i give him water and one milk feed when he wakes up in the night.

RE: Baby crying
Keon started sticking to me on sunday which is unusual as he is fine with people carrying him but on sunday when we went to my uncle house, he only want to stick with me, even more so when he fell ill on monday. Initially i thought maybe he sick so want to stick to me, now that he recover i cannot get out of his sight, out of his sight he will cry. I think maybe he develop seperation anxiety liao.

Keon's schedule :
6am - milk (between 120 to 150ml)
8am to 8.30am - wake up and drink about 50ml milk
9am - Bath
9.30am - Breakfast (about 1 table spoon of cereal sometimes plus fruit puree)
11am - sleep
12pm - Lunch (porridge sometimes fruit puree if he dun have it for breakfast)
In between 2 to 3pm - milk (between 120 to 150ml)
4pm - sleep
6pm - dinner (either porridge or cereal)
9pm - milk and sleep
11.30pm to 12am - wakes up for milk
after 12am - he will wakes up for at least 2 times but these 2 nights he been waking up at least 4 times.

My boy seems to be eating the heavier stuffs but he still so small size, his weight now is 7.8kg, seems like he got pretty high metabolism.

i started weaning bf by giving Keon fm before he goes to sleep at night then slowly increase the no of fm feed. For me is once i intro fm to Keon i started to be very lazy in terms of bf so very fast Keon was off my breast, i guess i took fm for granted that why i no longer bf. If i intro fm later i think i still be bfing Keon now.
 
Nicholas Feed:

7.30am - 120ml
9am - shower
9.30am - tbsp cereal with 120ml milk
12.30pm – porridge
3pm – 150ml milk
5.30pm – porridge
7pm – 100ml milk
10pm – 150ml milk

my mum say he sleep abt 6 hours in day time..

how much porridge do u all give?

my son is taking:
200ml of porridge
1 box of mash fish (2oz baby cube)
1 box of blended veg (2oz baby cube)

is that the average portion? cos my maid say that its too much.. and sometimes he show signs of vomitting..

Nicholas will make a scene, cry and cry before we can make him sleep... this repeats night after night....

i think the porridge is too much for Nicholas. I scoop 1 soup spoon of rice to cook porridge for Keon then will add in 1 thin slice of fish and just add a few leaves of spinach or cut about one quarter of potato and carrot to mix into the porridge.

my boy now also prefer me to carry and sayang him if given a choice...& calling "mama mama" is his now favorite words.. =D yeah!!

Benjamin's makan/nap schedule:
6 - 7am: milk milk 200ml - 260ml
8 - 9am: Rice cereal 1/4 bowl then "Pom Pom" time
10 - 11am/12pm: morning nap
11 - 12pm: Fish/Chicken porridge & fruit puree
2 - 3pm: milk milk 200ml - 260ml
2/3 - 4/5pm: After nap
4/5pm - 4/6pm : milk milk 200ml - 260ml
7pm - 8pm : Rice cereal + fish + veg & fruit puree
8pm: "Pom Pom" time...
9pm - 10pm : milk milk 200ml - 260ml (then KO till morning milk milk time)

on average, Ben will drinks approx 700ml to 800ml BM...think shd be enough hor?? when he is younger & not on solids, he drank much more..say about 1.2 to 1.5 litres per day...reduces almost half. at first, i feel quite worry & sad...but since his PD say normal and ok for baby to drink lesser, i am less concern now....

coz in the morning the most daryl will take is 180ml or lesser like 150ml. at nite he will take 210ml so his milk intake per day is at most at 400ml nia.

winnedy, dun overfeed bb...it is no good. mayb u can look out for sign tat he is full...like for daryl, he will eat beri fast if he is hungry...but once he is full, he slow down...and i usually double confirm like i will put down his bowl of porridge / cereal. if he nv cry wen i put down then i stop feeding lioa...

as for sleeping, u also hv to see wat ur boy like....for daryl, he does hv difficulties getting to zzz at times but if he sleep no matter wat noises outside also dun wake him up de...so for us, daryl like to sit, thus if he cry wen we lie him on the bed, then we sit him on the bed, and at times we will gif him some toys....then after playing for awhile and if he is tired, he will fall on his back and zzzz

My son intake of porriadge also quite alot leh !! MIL actually cook three scoope of white rice and 1 scoope of brown rice .4 scoope=8 scoope of the normal milk powder scoope.

As my son intake of milk no good ,but he is eating well on solid !!

Felval- aldan can finish 120 or even 150ml an hr aft cereal. His last feed I gv 180ml, he is able to finish. Thn aft tat stil latch on to make him slp. Wah damien drinkin milk every hr in the afternn! Cant gv him more so can tahan longer like 2 hrs??

Aldan if gd wil slp thru, if nt also wakin up like 2-3 hrs. but I jus pat him n gv pacifier n he wil go bk slp. Wat I most afraid is he dun wan to go bk slp n wan to play at 3-4am!

I also thinks that your porridge intake is too much. I remember reading somewhere that we should not overfeed the bb with too much solid food cos it is not good for the digestive system. We should intro solid slowly and bit by bit.

How about trying baby massage? Some mummies in this thread brought their babies for massage and they seem to sleep much better at night.

Now for porridge and brown rice, i have upgrade him to use normal adult rice bowl, no more pigeon feeding bowl, and in fact, he can finish all, if not can still top up another 1/2 bowl, which i control and stop him. If not, he will just keep eating.

However for his evening feed on cereal, i am still using the pigeon bowl, as i am scared of indigestion for him, and in case he is too full and refuse his night milk feed.

wah, daryl only drinks 2x per day...do u give him water inbetween?? if damien dun drink milk i will be v stress coz he dun like to drink plain water so i am worried he will get dehydrated...damien only sticky when he wans to latch on, else who carry him he also ok so long he is carried...=( sometimes when i am playing with him and his daddy comes hm he will go to my hubby or if hubby dun carry him damien will cry lo...haiz.looks like he only wans me for latching...otherwise he can says bye to me =(

200ml of porridge is alot le...if he shows signs of vomitting then mayb cut back on the porridge coz if anyone, nt just baby only, overeat, nt gd for digestive system...wats more a baby, rite? hahaa. i also duno hw to make my boy slps peacefully sometimes...the only way is to give him wat he wans lo. the only way i can think of is he wans latch then latch till he KO lo.

Actually there is a shop in City Plaza sells very nice cheongsam and price is very reasonable.. if really interested go ahve a look there.

How come you feed Daimen like every hour?? like that very tired isnt it.. why dun u feed more and stretch his feeding time??

Megan’s feedin schedule
6am : 150ml Fm Milk then back to zzz
7-7.30am : wakes up
8.30am ：cereal then shower
10.30am : 120ml Fm Milk then nap
1.00pm : Yogurt + fruits puree
3.00pm : 120ml Fm Milk then nap
6.00pm : Brown rice + Veg porridge
8-9pm : 150ml Fm milk then zzzzz till next morning
