Does preggy woman tends to be abit too emotional and get upset easily?

Me also dun know wat happened to me last nite .. cried until fall asleep.. keep worrying if i am able to provide the best for my bb etc ...

it all started with my FIL .. 2 days back, asked my hubby to give him $50 .. after tat yesterday called and asked for $200 again.. reason being: he wants to treat his friends beer ...!! Was quite upset when my hubby actually gave in to his request .. i dun mind if he gave him the $ to buy food etc .. but to treat his friends beer!! Which i argued with my hubby over it ...

Sorry to vent my frustrations in here...
 
Kea: me now in 9 + weeks my gynae still gave me Utrogenstan .. but he reduced the intake to once per day .. he told me have to take till the end of 1st trim...

y u taking Utrogenstan? u gt spotting eariler on?? me still taking twice aday leh....am quite worried...coz read the leaflet, it stated for preggie only by vaginal route...but doc say if puke then insert thru vaginal.....i oso tk till end of 1st trimester...

The pills is round round shape abit rubber rubber one rite? If i din get it wrong ..

do u all travel to wk in MRT? coz i alway stand...(v crowded) then when sometimes stand halfway, will feel sudden pin poke pain at tummy (sometimes left, right, centre)....is that wad u all say is uterus expanding .???
 
by the way, anyone taking prenatal classes?? to understand the process and hw to handle when delivering? me tinking of taking such classes compared to yoga.......coz i know nthing abt delivering......
 
Kea: me taking from 9wks till 12wks. i finished liao... he told me i still need to take for another 2wks. but nurse nv give me, i forgot to ask also. gynae gave me Prolacta with DHA (fish oil) and prenavit (big pink color pills, i dunno wat izzit).

Kea: i very blur liao... he said give me Utrogenstan for another 2wks, then nv give. say give multi vit i dunno izzit the pink pills izzit multi vit. do u think its better to call clinic before taking the pills? i asked him how long do i need to take folic acid since he mention multi vit got folic acid also. he said nvm go ahead and finish watever i have... so many pills, i really very confused liao. my DHA fishoil $45, i signed package with him liao... my package $500~

i bought pimple solution from him, got quite few breakouts. i do exp poking on the right side more... think its norm?

me also been having poke poke feeling from last week that's why brought forward appt to go down and see gynae as was worried for my bb as me went back to smoking last 2 weeks as had a big argument with my hubby.. gynae say mine is because of uterus expanding - nothing to worry about.. but if u are worried and the pains are getting worst then u might want to go down and see or call your gynae for advise..
 
prenavit .. is vitamins suppl lor. Some suppl has folic acid included, alot of different type.. so dun worry.. some suppl does not have folic, so you need to eat it separately. Fish oil (40+~35+) is probably the most exp. suppl liao, follow by calcium (20~10).Vitamins is cheap ard 10. ;)

strawberries: u get to see ur baby's hands and feet? so good. I only get to see baby's hands moving around but din get to see baby's feet. So got abit worried. looking forward to the next appt where I can see bb again. hehe....

kea: me thinking of signing up for prenatal classes. But the kkh's prenatal classes is available for those who are at least 16 gestational weeks. so gotta wait lor. But i heard alot about the TMC prenatal class by this Mrs Wong. Heard that she is quite good. so quite torn cannot decide which one to go to.

Am also thinking of taking up yoga when reach 2nd trimester. Need to source ard for a convenient location for yoga. hopefully during the weekends. hehe...
 
Jenny : actually you shld be happy that your hubby is generous to his parents..he will be generous to you and your baby. when we are young, our parents also give us alot of things we "want" and not need..I always tell my hubby to treat his parents like his children, give them what they want as long as it does not spoil them.

Jgal: but the problem is .. his father refused to go work .. we do give him mthly allowance, and also buy watever neccessities he needs. but the extra money he asked for i dun think its necessary as if he does not have the means, y shld he treat his frens to drinks?? And somemore, he told my hubby he only know the fren for 2 days etc .. from our previous experience .. he always fall out with his frens after a few weeks ..

He told my hubby becos they wan to do a joint venture tats y needs the $ to treat him drink beer. After tat will need $50k to start up biz! for goodness sake.. $50k is not a small sum of $.. we cannot be always forking out the $. And wat pissed me off also is his elder brother who is not married & staying with us and is not giving home allowance to both his parents and we are the one who give allowance, pay home loans, utilities bills etc ...

Jenny : Orh..then better ask your hubby to be careful with your FIL. let your hubby understand that he is spoiling your FIL. Dun get too work out.. as long as your hubby dun bring out the 50k.. let the son-father settle themselves. no point you get meddle into it. Not to your benefit esp when you are preggy.

Cheesycake ??? Forget??? what if something goes wrong these 2 wks? demand for compensation.. like 1 free consultation /medicine.. Utrogenstan is not multi-vit, it important that you take it, it may cause your baby. You tell the nurse, you demand the doc to give you another checkup. This is medical negligence, very serious offence. *freak* what if she give you the wrong medicine next.. you need to make her learn her lesson.

hahaha :p i realized your checkup is yesterday. lucky but really it's very serious. I see so many ppl lose their bb, everytime i also feel like crying. I dun want to see another case...

Maybe i just getting worried over my NT scan on friday. I really not sure what will i do if the bb turn out to be high risk. I have family members(now adult liao) that are DS (due to human err), it really a torture for everyone, parents and the child.

resales flat now is like chopping ppl.. really very exp... unless u can find a flat that no need u to pay cash over valuation... but the flat condition wont be very good... i have fren looking for resale, all the owner asking for like more den 15k above valuation, some even more den 30k.... can die i tell u....

u wan to buy resale flat but must see both u n ur hb CPF acc got hw much, and monthly contribution is hw much... let say if u n ur hb every mth contribute abt 800... den u cannot get a hse that cost more den $280k. i think will very siong...

kea- my god if my last till 16 week, my ms start late from 10 week. being reading so much from all mtb but still don hv the happy and joy feeling. i only experience i hv is suffering.. suffering.. and more suffering.

i din come across my mind abt car seat, maternity clothes, prenatal class, next visit... i only concentrate on ms.. don throw up in office v embrassing. i still hv to pretend i am coping v well in office and keep a happy face.

Cheesycake- next time all of us hv to be alert what the doc give us. ask the doc what supplement he give us than tally with wat the nurse give. kind of scary if wrong medication. of cos human error which all of us made but this type of mistake is something we cannot afford. esp other people mistake we bear the consequences.

HI Kea,

I din request for an NT test, it is part of my routine ultrasound with gynae. Not necessary to go for one if you op for OSCAR but if gyne says triple test is fine then should be ok. I tink have to decide whether you comfortable with triple with 70% accuracy. I took triple for my previous 2.

As for spotting, I do have it occasionally and I was not on progesterone tablet. Gynae says that baby growing quite well as long as bleeding is not serious that i have to wear a pad. It is fine. So no worries.

It is normal to feel anxious abt the scan. YOu opting for just NT? I discussed with my hubby wat if baby shows high chance of down and we kind of reach an agreement. So I was quite prepared.
As for the car seat, if you are keen, should get one with isofix coz it ensures the seat is will fitted.

ashleyjames.. updated, will post the table when there are more changes. My gynea does not do the NT scan during the routine u/s. I know some gynea does that. I will be doing my blood test after 15wks. We already made the decision.. we cannot effort emotionally to bring up a DS child.

In the oscar test, where the NT scan is done together with the blood test in the 1st tri.They examine the PAPP-A and free beta-hCG in blood.

My gynea suggest that i do the blood test in the 2nd tri. The blood test in 2nd tri measures alpha fetoprotein and beta-hCG.

Published results of the first trimester analysis of NT combined with free beta-hCG plus PAPP-A found DS detection rates of 85% with a false positive rate of 5%. The detection rate with NT scan and the 2nd tri blood test was 94 to 96 percent at a 5 percent screen-positive rate. NT scan & blood test in the 2nd tri yeilds the highest sensitivity and lowest false-positive rate. http://www.aetna.com/cpb/medical/data/200_299/0282.html
