Hi mummies,

I have 22 packs of 6oz frozen EBM (Feb 08) packed in Lanshinoh milk bags to exchange with 22 brand new Lanshinoh milk bags.

If need more, i have March 08 ones as well, but would like to clear my Feb 08 ones first.

koori, nope, taking care of her myself. Hubby's on leave for the next two to three weeks. So far, we are still coping well.
My wound heals quite fast. Managed to walk the next day after e c-sec. Just that now cant cough or sneeze.

1 CTG monitor belt - depends on the hospital you go to. If you go to Mt. Elizabeth, they will charge you for the CTG belt which is used to monitor fetal heartbeat during labour. You can save a few dollars by bringing your own.

Are you expressing BM? it helps to reduce engorgement?

Did you try to apply cold cabbage? It's recommended by Mrs Wong. Need to change the cabbage every 2 hrs of application.

Sherin: my C section wound is pretty all right. not so painful after I take those painkillers. Did your gynae prescribed for you? It definitely helps and I could even walk on the 2nd day and when I brought baby to hospital to test for jaundice this morning, i walked slowly but effortlessly. Maybe can get your doc to give you some painkillers. I only got some urethra infection due to the cathera (sp??) which hurts when i pee!Oh and the area which I wore the abs binder gave me really bad rashes! I just stopped wearing the binder when I sleep which gynae is fine with it. It helps to contract the uterus apparently.

Oh btw mummies thinking of drinking longan tea after delivery, do note it is quite heaty. I ended up with a little sore throat on the 1st 2 days so I Drank alot of water which my gynae encouraged, and it helps in increasing your milk supply to BF baby too!

Kea, jiayou! Its not easy because my nips are sore and my breasts are big and hurt now, but I am just glad at least I got some milk to give to bb. What I do when bb latch on me is I will also squeeze my breast (out of the arela area) so that he will be able to get the milk easily and suckle on it, and bf will be a quality one and he will auto stop suckling on your breasts and nips when he is finished, thus reducing the engorgement and soreness.

Sherin, that's great to hear! when I was hospitalised for the c section for a few days and saw those natural delivery mommies discharged by the second day, i felt so silly and painful! But thank gdness my gynae stitchings are good, otherwise i would have freaked out of pain right now! did ur bb's weight dipped? Mine did and now he's only 3.12kg! I'm so worried but luckily my milk supply increased from last nite onwards! Otherwise i'll feel so guilty!

Hi mummies, I m back!!! Thanks to all mummies for the well wishes... I am discharged on thur but my baby's juandice is quite high.

gervynne: not to wori abt bb weight lost coz most of the babies lose weight during the first week. my girl was born at 2.73kg and weighs only 2.67kg when discharged. today went for her 1st check n she is 2.92kg.

gervynne, same here! I went for the parentcraft and I saw those mummies walking so naturally le! And I was very much in pain still. But luckily i only need to stay 2 nights after C-sec. Hosp really uncomfortable! THough the food is yummy!

My girl was born with 3.09 and at discharge she was 3.005. Weight dipped. It's normal. But hers not much.

My girl's finally latching on better now! Though i dont know how much she's taking in. Cant measure ma. But it's always not enough. I'm supplementing BM with FM (Friso) she takes BM first then followed by FM immediately (abt 50 to 70 ml) each time. I think it's quite alot but cant stop her, if not she'll wail non-stop.

Babybliss, I booked post-natal massage then in the end, ended up with emergency c-section, so i am giving up massage coz my massage lady only willing to massage after 4 to 6 weeks coz she says wound wont heal properly. Will be giving up my deposit. =(

BBRoYcE&amp;LeBelle, did u have to sun baby? My baby was not born with jaundice. At discharge (2 days later) also no jaundice, but nurses says may or may not have. So advise to sunbath baby every morning (8-9am) and evening (5-6pm). I'm so worried that she'll get jaundice.
