perhaps u can try doing some squatings like what kea previously has done...she mention in march thread that she is doing squats everyday wo...

i am also doing squats but not as hardworking as kea (only 2/3 times a wk)...

cheesycake: u shld use the wall as support for ur squats, using the back or u can place ur hands on the wall, so u can balance better. Are u trying to get BB engaged? I hold 2 secs first, slowly with breathing in sync, then after 5 times, go to 3 secs... no need alot of times juz need to slowly

Mummies, anyone have swollen feet and swollen/numb hands? How u treated them? My hands are the worst, swollen until pain

then in the morning my finger's joints is so painful cannot really bent....got to rub it slowly b4 bending...

Same here, the worst is usually during the morning, can't even bent the fingers...
But the pain seems to travel up my hands...
Even when the numbness is gone, the pain on my hands stay

being so busy at work and baby is so big is really uncomfortable.. as for swollen fingers initial start to do some exercise but now i just leave it. cos its also painful to stretch

Getting more and more tired with the weight! After your bb is engaged, do you still feel him pressing on your bladder? I think 2.7kg at birth is alright, at least it's easier to deliver! Can always catch up after birth! hehe
We calculated the strokes on our own, based on a book. Are you going to fortune teller? We don't know anyone good, any recommendation?

Seems like everyone's contractions feel different. But the real labour pain should be nothing compared to now.

My next appt is on this Sat. I'm not sure how Dr Tan determines that bb has not yet engaged. Her checks seem really fast. I asked her whether EDD still remains, and she said yes.

Re stretchmarks,
When I see mine, I'll just tell myself that I'm very noble cos all these scarrings are for bb! Haha My hb says he can't really see the marks, don't know whether to make me happy only. Heard that if your mom has those, you will get it too. My mom has them during her pregnancies.

hi all, currently now at TMC.
Wound frm c-section still hurts alot.
25th Mar - admitted at 2pm to induce. Was 1 to 2 cm dilated. Pill inserted for induction. By 4pm, regular contractions started coming at 5 mins interval. Then by 7pm, contractions at 3 mins interval. Was painful but still bearable. Can still take dinner but only a quick bite at those intervals. 9pm, had show. Immediately wheeled down to labour ward. Checked, shaved and waited for doc. About 1030pm, doc came, only 3 to4 cm dilated. Long way more .... Doc burst water bag. Contractions became long n more regular. Almost cant take it already. Continued to hold. On the CTG, contractions hit high of 125 on the meter. Damn bad, had to control with breathing. Doc suggested epi, decided to take epi. About 1am, doc for epi came. Epi was GODSEND. no pain at all. could sleep. At 4am, nurse turned on lights, fully dilated already. Asked to Push.
After more than 30 mins to pushing, bb still cant come out. went on for a while. Doc came. Asked to push again. And he checked. Coz fetal heartbeat getting weaker. Was quite dangerous. He mentioned that my pelvic bone is not wide enough for bb's head to pass through, so no matter how i push, also no use. Can only go for c-section. Hence went wheeled to OT immediately. Baby summer arrived at 0603 on 26th Mar weighing 3060gm.
Seems like my worse nightmare has come true. Double pain

puffish, for normal delivery, they did shave but not totally. then when i had to go through c-sec they shaved me again. More thorough i think.

cheesycake: as my office still have some toilet cubicles using squat (i try to use the squating ones if i not very urgent) if i urgent then use the sitting one.
Usually i will do squats(2-3 times and for 3 count each squat)...

Hi Mummies,

just sharing my experience n journey with you...it's been frustrating n tiring for DHB n me.

I'm into my 35 weeks now and during last check up on tues, my cervix show signs of 'readiness'. On late wed nite i have painful regular contractions n decided to head to delivery ward. Turn out 1cm dilated at 12mn so dr kept me there for a nite for monitoring...by 12noon the following day it was 2cm dilated with irregular contractions. After much discussion with dr, she suggested induction for today...i was comprehensive about it since baby only 35 weeks. Had to go thru painful dexa injection to strengthen baby's lungs (x2 times / 12 hrly)...

yet this am...at 6am at delivery ward..no progress in dilatation n contraction seems to stop or much lesser...so sian! HB n i decided to drop induction..have to trouble so many nurses, anaesthtist n gynae..

we are hoping for a clearer sign - water bag break instead of relying on contraction!!

the issue n dilema is this is my 3rd child...if i wait for signs of contraction i may not even make it to hosp...nurses was telling me some mothers delivered at carpark or on the way to hosp!! just within 2 contractions ,imagine if i were to get caught in traffic jam?? also my hubby has to work...difficult for him to keep cancelling his slot in the clinic (he is in medical line).

thanks for reading, i'm so vex..shld i opt for induction n get it over with?

wished it were much much straight forward like my 2 older kids...

hi littleprincesses, wat is your baby size now? 35 weeks seems to be a little too early wor. For me, i might want to wait a little longer. Prob drag another wk b4 inducing. It is also better for baby. What is your gynae's advise? Straight induce now or? Nurses sometimes can scare you but I think gynae shld be able to give his most profesional advise loh.

wt at wk 35kg 2.3kg. according to gynae..it's a matter of time baby coming out either this wk or next week..will not cross 37 week. since it's 2 cm dilated n baby wt is acceptable she suggested induction to save me the worries of popping suddenly...

but i 'ke lian' the baby..like being force out not by choice leh..

Ladies, went to gynae on Wed and now contemplating if should go gor natural or C-section. Baby weighs 3.1 kg at 37th week, he has been putting on 400 to 500 g every two weeks. If it cont. means he will weigh at least 3.6 to 3.8 kg?? Worry will end up double pain like what Sherin describe too as 2 close friends also have same encounter le...furthermore I had fibroid surgery before and although doc say can try natural first, still a bit concern about rupture risk at old wounds and baby's safety...aiyo don't know how to decide...
