Edde,
When I'm at home with YT, I'm so busy I dun have the time to eat! Haha. Usually what I do is that I'll do the GD maths cards with her three times a day. (actually most of the time I din even managed twice...) If I felt like it, I will do the chinese flash card we bought last time through Starfruit. I will read her books though she may not "stay" there long enough for me to finish the books. Sometimes I'll just take her out for a quick walk around the neighbourhood. The majority of the time I just let her play on her own while keeping half an eye on her as I do my work such as grading. I will also show her the "Baby can read" VCD and read along, sing along with her. Like when they say "ears", I will take her hand to touch her ears.
You can always bring Anthea out. If you feel that it is too troublesome to bring her all the way to the mall, a quick stroll around the neighbourhood is good enough. Around my area, I always see one very goot lat mother who will carry her kid and lug along one bag of English words cards to go for walk.
Most of the time I'm very busy just making sure she doesn't hurt herself cuz she will climb here and there. Today she fell backwards off one step again onto the back of her head. Just one second I took my eyes off her to reply an sms. :/
She will climb up and down the stairs and explore the rooms on the second floor occasionally. Usually I'll just let her explore on her own and follow her around.
And of cuz, I will SPEND tons of time cleaning up after her. Yesterday she vomitted her entire lunch. Today, she puked about 1/3 of it. Sigh... Just cleaning the floor, highchair and her will take up a lot of time. She is happy to just sit there and watch me WORK!
If you are worried about running out of activities to do with her, I remembered Yvonne or someone else ever posted a link to 365 activities to do with Baby. But in any case, dun have to worry too much about what to do with them. Let Anthea have "free" time and space to do her own stuffs.
