(2006/08) AUGUST 2006 MTB

Hi Honeyhaven,

My 1st gal is not by Dr Adrian. I went to KKH.

THough I could hear e cut sound when doing episotomy.. e pain realli come when they doing the stitching up cos e pain is from e Jab to numb e area!

E pain ould be a nitemare BUT it depends on hw u view it and its worth!

Try to walk around more often maybe 1-2mth before delivery bah.. I m that kind of active so been walking ever since preggie.. IT does help to speed up e labour AS 1 of my hb frd wife her labour was oni 4hrs & e day before she still shopping at COmpass POINT!!! Impress!

Hi Kelly,
I cant recall where somehow i read a book on pregnancy with all the qns & ans AND also abt epi n labour pain on how to handle.. it written abt e epi effect on bb. So better to let e epi to wear off before BF.
Actualli EPI don do use good too... esp in future we wont know wat wil happen to e spine though its v common now all mummies are getting it. IT is jus individual preference & pain tolerance.

CT,
i agree wif u abt individual preference & pain tolerance. i was very against epi too cos i was worried abt backaches & any spinal problems. then again, when i was on e delivery bed, it was a situation of 'take epi, have natural delivery' or c-section cos i was so tensed up, my cervix wont dilate. i am also against c-section cos i hate 2 b cut up n i also heard it's harder 2 heal n need 2 avoid more food during confinement.

i dun tik i'm in a position then 2 let epi wear off b4 BFg cos 30mins after giving birth, e midwife just dumped my son on me n told me 2 breastfeed. i was in shock n me being a 1st-time mummy, i just followed lor...of course i didnt breastfeed for long cos i was grouchy, hungry & tired.

anyway, i really cant tell wat'll happen for tis 2nd labour...i may do c-section, i may hv a shorter labour, i may not BF my bb 30mins after giving birth BUT i know for sure tat i'll definitely take epi. i cant even tik abt e future when i m in excruciating pain.
