My nephew also likes to play with kitchen set/pots & pans. He even fight with his sister over the toy stove. Hahaha.

ep,
after the talk, i decided both should go now. One reason, virus and bateria everywhere. 2nd reason, cos Janelle attend nursery. She may bring back virus or bacteria. Jedd shld only need 2 jabs like Julian. We can use CDA to pay for it now.

i did put FM in her food n maybe thats the reason y she is taking 3 hrs to eat... record breaking lor!
now i give her fresh milk by teaspoon so today she didnt have bm whole afternoon. trying to wean her off slowly. luckily she likes the taste of fresh milk or else i dunno bf her until wat age!

Hi all , my baby is having running nose , anyone got special treatment , that make the running nose recover fast ? haha ... cos got to celebrate his bday his weekend ... Is it better if i off the aircon tonight ?

I'm sure caitz will take n bang here bang there n make sure they fly far far away from her... her this kind of pattern so predictable! sometimes at home i let her play with veggies hahaha then she will put the veggies in the bowl n use her spoon to try to feed me ... hahaha so funny

Sigh...just came back from doc. Kaylyn suspected of having HFMD. Dunno wat happened. Put Kay at IL's place the whole day today cos my hse installing aircon. Then evening went to pick her up, her foot & hands got lotsa tiny red spots. MIL said Kay keeps scratching. But she doesn't have ulcers in her mouth & no fever yet.
Really sian lor..cos already booked & paid for Genting trip next week. Then now most probably gotta cancel the trip & waste the $$. SIGH!!

Yr K tiny red spots like chick pox or not? Cos my ger also got spots on lower body & legs last nite..we also thou HMFD, went to see doc immediately, but doc said no leh, not MHFD, he said HMFD spots look v much like chick pox..

YB, HFMD looks like chicken pox, then mostly will be on the soles, knees, palms and mouth. the spots are quite small one...
Just sent Germayn to my mummy's house just now to stay..so sad..havent slpt without her since she was born. hai. supposed to bring lycia into my room to slp cos she's been disturbing my MIL's slp for the past 2 days.. but now, i'm alone in my room.. cos SHE DOESNT WANNA SLP WITH ME!!! hai.. how sad can this be... even after threatening her / bribing her she still doesnt wanna slp with me. @@#($#%)!#
i'm giving Germayn Mamil Gold Step 2 for her last feed at night now. The careline person said that step 2 for mamil gold can be taken till 3 yrs old, and it's without sugar so it's 'better' than step 3. haha.
oh man.. i'm missing Germayn already.. think i'll go crazy when im in HK.

if kaylyn has HFMD, she wld have a few ulcers in the throat or mouth.. ask doc to look into her throat. Jedd had abt 5 ulcers..
only remedy is to keep him hydrated.. let her eat watever she wants.. (if she can swallow) give ice cream or cold formula milk.. cold so numb the throat.. i gave glucose water.. by third day, jedd was back to normal.
if chicken pox, her body will also hv..

If really HFMD, u may need to wash all her toys. Use 1 portion of beach to 100 time of water to wash her toys. Dettol is not as effective to kill the virus.

I am planning to bring both to Genting end of the yr cos we also brot Janelle to her 1st trip when she is 18th month old, to gentings too.

Touchwood - incase u need medical aid. Gentings has a clinic. U can ask the staff there, I visited the clinic before.
If required, get travel insurance. U can claimed ur medical bill with the insurance coy if u visit doctor oversea.

YB, poor kaylyn, btw before charlene had her chicken pox, she had fever for a day n night, followed by red tiny spots for 2 days, then came the blisters... my experience is during the fever and red spots she had very poor appetite... so monitor... had that now is the HFMD season oso, better be careful...
hope it's nt hfmd for kaylyn...
when my gal had hfmd, her mouth was silghtly swollen due to the blisters. her milk intake dropped as it was just too painful for her to suck.
i just notice xavier doesn't really like mamil stage 3. nowadays, he seldom finished all his milk, always leaving abt 20-30ml. Before this, he used to finish every drop of his milk.

Thx for the concern. Really appreciate it. Last night Kay woke up at 130am. Keep crying non-stop. Fed her milk, but she still continue to cry. Then she keep kicking her legs. I guess she might be itchy (cos I put on socks for her) so I apply some calamine lotion onto the spots on her foot. Then she slept till 12noon today.
Then today the moment she wake up, she'll scratch the spots on her foot.
Does HFMD rashes itch? Cos Kaylyn looks like it itch alot! Keep scratching.
I checked her butt just now when changing diaper. No rashes on her butt.
Rashes only on her feet & hands. Then some spreading to her legs & arms. No rashes on body & face. No ulcers in mouth/tongue. No drooling. No fever also.
Appetite-wise, it's normal. She finish her usual intake of milk & cereal. Yesterday at IL's plc. She took 2 servings of porridge & even wanna eat FIL's rice.

i think HFMD is more of blisters and ulcers. ian didn't scratch any of his blisters leh, so not sure if itchy or not. just that his ulcers are painful and he doesnt want to drink milk. now that rashes are out, maybe go n see doctor for another check? take care

YB - ask my fren whom her gal just had HFMD.
the rashes dun bother her gal at all. no signs of "itchy".
So I think maybe u seek a 2nd opinion? and remind the doc tat she just had her jab few days ago.
I think becos currently is the HFMD peak period, so once the kid hv "blister", they will suspect HFMD first.

Sorry can't help. He was really young so he wouldn't have been able to scratch even if he itched. I could only tell that he was unhappy over not being able to feed and vomitting and I attributed his crying to that. The nurses I called on the medical helpline in the UK didn't ask about itching either. I guess they know he was too young to express this.

Just brought her to see another doc (the one where Kay took her pnuemococcal jab on Mon). He said Kay is probably allegic to some components in the Pnuemococcal jab. He said it's the 1st case he've seen of having allergy to the jab.
Doc said normally HFMD will have rashes (with pus) on hands, feet AND MOUTH. With fever before the outbreak of rashes. Kay doesn't have any of the symptoms, except rashes on her hands & feet. (No pus & too many)
Doc also says if the rashes is very serious & lasts long, I might wanna reconsider abt bringing Kay for the follow-up jab in 2mths time.
