(2006/07) JULY 2006 MTB

Hong
Julian's somersaulting is impressive! Mebbe he learnt from tv.

FM
I don't intend to switch FM till 18mths. He doesn't take much and fresh milk makes up part of this little intake so don't see the need as he seems to like what he's having and it was tough getting him to like milk.

AhSoh, Brambles, eeyore & CHM..

MTDT,
"gym" skill... i am scare his potential to be a super active boy that get out of control.

eeyore,
Charlene so cute. She gets jealous?

I am going for a talk abt Pneumoccocal later. I never let both kids take the jab. I wonder if it really necessary.

For the picking of items on 1st bday. I will delay it till we pray to our ancestor. One of the reason cos i couldnt get all the items in time. hahahha...

Mummies,

I have just received a phonecall from Foto gallery. They are giving me a complimentary photo shoot with 2 digital photos. Anyone of you know whether there is any hidden agenda?

PM, elliot is on stage3 too. reason being i run out of stage 2 so start on 3 :p i think mine is regular, non flavoured.

U very funny, keep smiling to myself when i read the "I think he just "found out" that he has a son?? " its good isn;t it, now that he is more hands on.

Yah , I think i'm overjoyed by the fact that my hb is more involved. Emerson also prefers daddy more than mummy, but im super happy !!! YEAH! Hahaha. Ihope my hubby can sustain and maintain... and no jinx *cross fingers*

CMH - I think the new mamil stage 3 is with the immunofortis, and i read it seems to be very good.. compared to others..

Hong
Unfortunately D has displayed signs that he is one of those super active kids already. Sigh.... And scolding and smacking has no effect on him.

Zoe,
U wun want a boy that sit at one corner and do nothing. hahaha.

OK Pneumoccocal jab. A MUST take jabs. Going to burn a big hole in my pocket. I need to bring two kids to take it. Luckily Janelle only need one and Julian two. That is still going to cost me $500. OMG.

Melody, peach,
I just got my hand on the lychee martini cake from Pine Garden. The organiser order the cake from them. I took a small piece, nice but i dun know will it taste jialat if we have more.

Hi mummies,

Really envy those bbs willingly drink milk n eat!!! Caitz is really fussy when it comes to her food. I noticed she prefers chinese food rather than western food now. She can eat one big bowl of porridge or noodle soup in abt 15 mins but when it comes to western food, she will take 2-3hrs eating.

Then when it comes to MILK... OMG!!! She rejects FM totally. I have tried different bottles n even spoon feeding her but she dun want so in the end i gave her fresh milk. that one she is willing to take but only if i feed her spoon by spoon. I have nvr been so patient in my whole life... Children really can change a person!!

Hong
About 10 times a day I do wish I had a boy who sits in a corner. Ha.
RE Pneumococcal, did you gather any info about how many jabs bbs need if given from very young? Cos I hear that in Spore need 4 jabs but Dylan's UK schedule states 3 jabs. He had his at 2, 4 and the next is scheduled at 13mths.

Xavier oso on Mamil Gold Step 3 liao...

Hong,
I oso saw xavier attempting that. But the moment he bent over, i stopped him. I very scared he will sprain his neck.

Xavier is oso very notti and hyperactive now. He just spoil my TV console by hitting the metal calendar repeatedly on it. A piece of paint chipped off from the top of the console. heart pain! Beat his hand oso no use, scared only for a moment then repeat the act a while later. he oso spoiled my mum remote control by throwing it on the ground. Sigh...dun know how to teach.

PM
maybe ur hubby dun know how to handle and play with E when he was younger. But now E is a toddler, he is more responsive so ur hubby enjoys interacting and playing wif him.

zoe - hahaa.... so funny to read this: "About 10 times a day I do wish I had a boy who sits in a corner. Ha"

Pneumococcal -
if 1st jab is before 6mths old - total 4
if 1st jab is after 6mths old - total 3
If 1st jab is after 1yr old - total 2
if 1st jab is after 2yrs old - total 1

FM - aiyoh... so many comments abt diff brands... so confusing.

maybe like wat hong did.. just rotate and give diff FM every mth. then bb gets best of all the worlds haha

DSII!!!!!!
aiyoh.... he really love the oil huh... yummy is it? :p
blueblack - kenna from where? sayang...

MTDT
Thanks for info. Hmm.... Wonder why UK schedule is different and if it's still effective with only 3 doses.

Yes, I bring him to playgyms and playgrounds to expand all that energy but he still has more. I am now counting down to when he reaches 2 and he can be left alone in places like the playground in Globetrotters with the staff and other drop-off gyms. ;-)

Zoe,
oh is it.. Is it free in UK? I know some country give it out FOC.

I think MTDT has post the detail. MTDT, thanks..

Yenny,
same here. However, he turn over easily. May be u wanna guide him. hahaha..

I also find boy very active. Infact, I find the boy energy is over whelming for me. May be i am too used to my ger.

Aiyo, Xavier doesnt like the TV and the console? hahaha... For Julian, he likes to press on the buttons. He will crawl to the TV or DVD player and starts activate and deactivate them. He will even help us to off my SCV console.

I didnt beat him hand, I just carried him away. He crawled back, i carried him away or passed him other toys.

U realised the kid will monitor how we operate some of the things at home.

I didnt know when he notice I open the drawer. One weekend, he creeped into the room, open the lowest drawer and pull all the clothes out.

From then onward, whenever he wanted he like, he will crawl into the room and start pulling the clothes out.

I am never that busy with Janelle.

That is why i say i am overwhelm by his energy.

Dsii,
wat happen to Ian head? He look so cheeky.

hong - yes!!! They really secretly learn rite...
so at times, i make sure I block his view when i operate the DVD player! hahahah :p

Pneumococcal - the last jab is a booster jab...
so maybe UK dun sees it as necessary? My PD says can delay the booster jab... tat's why zav only taking next mth. :p

MTDT,
dun quote my method. If Julian is my 1st kid, I wun switch milk powder so frequently but dun know why we relax with 2nd kid. Hahha..

MTDT
Hmm... I just read online that that's the schedule in the UK. 3 jabs. 2, 4, 13mth. And in Oz, it's 3 jabs too. 2, 4, 6 mth. 3rd is the booster. Perhaps both countries offer it FOC so give what is just sufficient? Dunno. I guess if both UK and Oz are like this, then no worries.

MTDT,
i am delaying Janelle jab cos it is SOOO expansive but after the talk I think better send her for one. At least she need 1 only.

To play safe, better send Julian too.

Learning - YES YES YES....
BUT he just wun make his 1st step. He just stand and not very long too.

Last week, he fell from the sarong. I think he attempted to turn luckily ended on his butt, gave me a fright...

Then he like to go after his jie jie milk bottle and pacifer.

Zoe,
Hmm nothing is free in this world.

MTDT,
Haha gd idea, switch FM so can get everything, i will give some serious thought to it since Gillian is not fussy abt FM :p

Seriously on wat basis do u mummies select d FM brand?? I find dat we are so spoilt for choice...

re: Pneumococcal jab
Is it available in polyclinic? So should i call up to make appt or how?

OC
My first criteria in choice of FM's is that they're manufactured in first world countries. I've long given up comparing ingredients.

now that our babies start walking, i feel a bit more relaxed as we dun have to carry them anymore esp when they are getting heavier and heavier by the days. Now when i carry xavier, he will struggle to get down to walk. but another set of problem arise, got to watch where they are going. now they chiong all the way, not watching where they are heading...

now xavier likes to play 'ma sa'(cooking) wif his jie jie. Is it sissy for a boy to play this?

yenny
I don't think so. I think it's perfectly healthy. They need to play doing housework, being Daddy's etc as well. There will be plenty of issues of gender stereotypes cropping up without need to impose any more in the home environment. I would be more concerned about the opposite, that my child has to be exposed to and probably succumb to so many gender stereotypes. Then again, I'm speaking as the parent of a very boisterous and extremely boyish little monster.

OC
;-) I guess. For some strange reason I stay away from Dumex and Similac. I dunno why. Dumex I think cos I didn't like it as a child. Found it awful.

mtdt
the blue black ah? 1 from my dad's waredrobe..the other one..bigger one kena from mil's wooden sofa legs..hee....

Pnuemoccocal Jab,
I took Kay to the GP near my hse. It costs $160/jab. Kay needs 2 jabs cos she's over 12mths. So the next jab will b after 2mths, when Kay is 14mths old.

Kay doesn't have fever after the jab. Heard from the nurse that it doesn't cause fever. So Kay wasn't prescribed any fever medication at all.

Zita,
Both coy will only do delivery if u purchase >$100. SO u have to make a trip down urself.

Yenny,
Xavier can play with his jie jie? Julian only wanna to be stunt man, putting the plastic knife into his mouth. Haiyah..

yenny & OC - hahaha... so cute! :p

but i agree... think at their age, dun need to limit wat "boy games' or "gal games" am sure later in life they will surely get to learn abt all the gender sterotypes.

aiyo..yenny..last time i oso worried leh...cos isaac got a few cooking set from his godma..and he loves to play..now still do..but he oso very rough one lah..likes guns..sword..power rangers...super heros...lucky never say he like winx club and powerpuff girls..if not jialat...

WOW, Ian is so cool. Dsii, u may consider to get Ian an ARMY suite to go with the car.

ylc,
how abt cheese? Or u cook add milk in the food she eat.

hong
he will actually take the ladle and stir in the pot. but then he will oso dismantle the 'oven door'.

dsii
maybe this is an indication that they will be great chefs like sam leong, chief chef of tung lok.

hong..hmm..army suit?? good idea....mummies..where to get army suit ah???

yenny..hmm..if thats the case i dun mind leh..but not the coffeeshop zi cha stall one hor..hahahaha
