Yup, one of my friend told me to start early too, her daughter knows how to poo poo in the potty when she was ten mths or earlier, now at 16 mth she can use her hand to make the smelly sign to indicate she is done. But her method does not work for Ryan.

Hi melody,
My MIL have started my boy on poo poo training around he is around 9 months. So far ok. Like what KLCC says, he will have that "gei sai" look and face red red, then you will know it is coming. Then faster put her on potty. Then when he finish, he will ask us to carry him, so we know he finish poo poo liow. Sometimes he will run to us in his walker, then face red red, so we know he want to poo poo liow.

I thought to train after 1 year, but my MIL says must train early, and she manages to do it leh. Except when night time when he is sleeping, sometimes when he need to poo, he will poo in his diaper. And sometimes when I cannot get the hint or I too slow, then he will poo in his diaper.

I also tried to potty train my Kay already. But so far unsuccessful. She's either too distracted by the toilet bowl or she keep shaking her legs & refused to poo. Once I put her diapers back on, she poo. Sigh. I think the toilet is a new environment for her. Need some time for her to get used before she starts concentrating on pooing Haaa..haa...

Julian never poo in his sleep. I will be very drag to change him in the mid of the nite. hahaha.
Some kids dun like the feeling of emptiness under her/his butt so refuse to poo. Doesnt feel secure. hahaha..
When I manage to put Julian on the potty, i will stay with him and goes "hmmm hmmm hmmm" with him. He find me amuse and smile and will follow me to "hmm hmm hmm" hopefully he will understand what hmm hmm mean soon.

I heard from my female colleagues that my office is haunted. almost fainted... some colleagues from next office say ever hear some hard knocking on the glass wall where no one is around. the time is around midnight... my hair stand when she explained. Another one say hear got 2 "ppl" having a conversation during the wee hours. i cant believe this is happening to my own office...

Been trying to toilet train my son too but still no success. Sigh. He knows the meaning of the Hmmm...Hmm.. sound. But if we make the sound when he has no poo, he will pout and cry. And his poo comes without warning one,so by the time we rush to the potty, too late liao.

Hong - Yes, Emerson recovered fully, the rashes was gone yesterday..
Potty training - I have yet to start. Lots of excuses from me, first of all i very scare to wash away the poo from the potty, then i realised there's one that can attached to our adult toilet bowl. 2ndly, Emerson poos early in the morning, sometimes right after he wakes up. Now, I'll just wait for him to poo finish then bathe him at the same time. Maybe must start now lioa, then after that, no need to use wipes just wash with water?
How u all do it? Use water to wash or toilet paper (too rough for our bb) or still continue to use wipes?

Think have to give Kaylyn some time to get used. I also don't know how my MIL train my boy, really have to hand in to her for this, and she can set a timing for him to poo somemore. Every morning around 9am-10am, she will put him on the potty and slowly he really will poo around 9am-10am. These few months, he is having constipation, so his timing become haywired liow.

I also scare to wash away the poo in the potty, so what I do, is to cover the potty with a plastic bag, then when my boy poos, the poo will go into the plastic bag and I just throw away the plastic bag, and rinse the potty.

Your office haunted? Don't go home so late and don't stay in the office alone. Last time I work in a museum, and I think also haunted leh. Can always hear sound and can hear toilet flushing in the next cubicle when no one is in there.
Ya...my boy likes to put toys in his mouth, so what I do, I give him big toys that cannot stuff inside the mouth or gives him pacifier. I avoid giving small toys, unless I am by his side to watch him.

Yes, my boy is very very fond of putting things in his mouth...and chewing tissue paper away. Have to keep a look out for him, he likes to pop balls inside his mouth also. very dangerous!

These days, I dont really know how to pass time with Emerson when we alone at home. Sometimes I can tell he's quite bored also. When he's bored with his toys, he will walk around in circles.
I keep bringing him downstairs for a walk, i think he's going to be a playground kid very soon. Haiz. I dont want that to happen leh.
In the morning, after batheing I wil bring him down for breakfast, he eats abit of my breakfast and see birds flying around.
In the evening, bfore dinner time, will bring him down again, this time wil let him dowm to walk or play in the playgound and he'll be super happy..like just 'relaeased' ... .

think last 2 weeks... all the parties then kids sick, so no PTT gathering huh. withdrawal symptons for tat is it?
maybe can start to do simple art n craft with our toddlers? but alone really quite boring? maybe PTT can hv weekly playgroup. rotate at ur hse, then each think of things to do with the toddlers.

yr boys like tissue paper ah..mine like newspaper, ever found bits & pcs of newspaper in her poo poo...the worst case is a pc of 1.5x1.5cm plastic pc which caused her virus infection w blood in her stool few weeks ago..faint ah..
