I used to nurse her to sleep if she does wake up n it was so much easier n convenient but now that "factory" close liao really gotta spend much much more time patting her back to sleep. Actually i already anticipated this will happen when i stopped nursing...maybe u might face d same situation if she is used to nursing back to sleep now

ya same,i used to purposely look for my glasses so i can see d clock n check d time she wakes up at nite but now cant be bothered also, it's too frequent liao n u just want to quickly make her sleep so u can sleep too

nite-gal.. normally i'd go n make milk n hubby would sayang her or vice versa.. erm. so if she falls back asleep, the milk is wasted. n if she doesn't by the time i'm back, she'd have d milk. dunwan her to cry for too long if she's actually hungry cos after that it's harder to calm her down n she'd reject the milk bottle too. now that my milk supply has dwindled, i only b'feed her after her milk bottle. yar.. i know not supposed to breastfeed n bottlefeed within the hour, but.. aiyah. she's fine so far. hurhurhur. so here's our war strategy:
1) milk bottle
2) breast
3) pat n carry on shoulder
4) pat her back when she's lying on the bed
5) finally, just let her lie down there by herself (if she isn't crying) n go back to sleep until she cries.
wahaha.. evil parents. sometimes she'll play n fall back asleep by herself cos we'd wake up the next day n realize we didn't have to pick her up anymore the night before.

Your war strategy is very comprehensive.. You mentioned we are not supposed to breastfeed and bottlefeed within the hour.. Actually I also do that.. dun care, Caitlyn also ok with that, no nipple confusion at all.

Agree with you! That's y I'm still nursing my girl now even though I was very tempted to stop after 6 months. But nursing her to sleep is so easy, I'm a bit unreluctant to release my "weapon".. So the hubby now quite good life, cos he doesn't have to wake up to settle her to sleep, cos only I can do it.. Hiaz..

BnC also called me and asked me to check with the rest whether you all are interested. I just told BnC that you all probably not keen about this. As for myself, I'm not interested lor. I just tell them directly.

nitegal, actually it's not about the nipple confusion. something to do with bacteria. i'm not sure what.. but i found out when she was like 6 months plus already. so too late already. hee.. but i cannot give breast before bottle cos then she confirm dunwan bottle. only can give bottle before breast.

I received quotation from globetrotter. The quotation never state the BB food menu so want to ask if u all are fine with feeding our 1 year
old child adult food. Like bee hoon, spring roll etc.
The private room can only be use for 2 hour so wonder if it is enough ?

Maximum twice a day or at least once a day. I use sterilise gauze with cooled boiled water. Recently I used spiffies tooth wipe. It takes times for babies to get used to it. I started with Ryan since he was 2 months old...so when it is time to wipe his tongue, cheeks and his 2 little teeth, he will open his mouth for me...maybe he thinks I am giving him food

I think it's OK not to get baby food. 1 yr old shld be able to eat some sandwiches, chicken pie, carrot n celery dips rite? but if parents want, can still bring own food. after all, kids under 2 yrs is free... hehe. the food is meant for us.. hungry adults. muahaha.

I don't mind booking my mum's condo's function room actually. Got playground, got swimming pool, can rent like a playset (those haenim castle/slide) thing also for the little ones to play with.
only problem is that it's not central (in the far reaches of pasir ris)... n we all would have to plan for the f&b, games, etc. juz let me know lor. or we can always discuss this at MTDT's house!!!! haha..

waking up at night - When i used to BF i also nurse bb and this will do. Saves me lots of trouble. Now I make milk for him and its wasting FM, coz he just suck 2 sips and fall back to sleep, like how he use to suckle my breast last time.

They have games but it is more for those 2-3 year old. And we only have 2 hour so if we want to stay and chit chat is a no-no.

if by the end of this month , the number of people joining birthday bash increase. I think it will be alot cost saving if we book a function room , order buffet and organise our own games and just do simple decoration. I am still in the mist of contacting supplier to sponsor free gift.

hello mummies.. thanks for your well wishes. was feeling better, till just now. coughed until i vomited. and it's not phlegm this time rd. it's those yucky stuff. haha. im someone who 'doesnt know' how to vomit. so im quite surprised. but i realise it's only like that at night. think it's partly cos of my asthma history (eh..that was what the dr told me la. haha.)
