Hi mummies,
Have u tried holding your bb's hand to make him/her touch certain things? I find that my ger is rather resistant when I try to hold her hands. yesterday i taught her how to hold her biscuit and put inside her mouth and she started to throw tantrums. Same goes when i hold her hands to touch the book...sigh.

May - My boy is rather curious and kpo. He will move his hands and try to touch everything. Got to be extra careful with him when drinking hot drinks.

Peach, agree with you that we should not use too much steriods on baby unless nec. For my case, I have stopped applying steriods cos' my eczema will return no matter how many times I apply. No good for skin as steriods will make the skin thin.
Currently, I'm using GAIA baby moistuiser and soothing lotion for my gal. Her skin condition improved after the last outbreak. But still must apply dilligently every day. Realised my gal also has neck rash for the past few days. And when the weather gets hot, her inner elbows will have redness too.

I have eczema & so do my nephew & niece since young...we're using Derma(something) body lotion to moisturise our skin. I'm also using Lactacyd as body & face wash too...both can be bought in Guardian. My eczema was really bad when I was in Pri sch, all over my kneecaps & elbows...but
now much better..but eversince become SAHM & keep washing & cleaning, my hands & fingers are very prone to rashes & itch..sigh...

You girls are really young! I'm sure the Govt must be happy to know we have such young mothers.. If the old tax system were still around, I'm sure you'll get maximum tax benefits. The tax system now caters to old birds like me since the age limit on tax rebates has been removed.
Re. one year birthday bash
Seems like a lot of mummies are going for a big bang celebration! My hubs and I were thinking of keeping it small, for immediate family only.. but we were also considering hosting a bigger scale party at a country club, to include friends. But we are quite lazy.. a big party requires so much preparation (like ylc mentioned) I think chances are we will go small in the end.

YB and PM - Went to see PD. She said to give Garrick some time...let's say till 10 months. After that, if still like that, will have to go for therapy. I am hoping and praying that all will go well and he will be fine. She also told us to feed him with anything which he is interested in (just put the spoon into his mouth and let him taste it).

have u all read an article on giving homemaker some incentive that was given last year? The reason goverment never give incentive and help to homemaker is as follow:
1) Homemaker's work cannot be qantitfied
2) If help given to homemaker like those benefit given to working mother, lesser women will be in the work force.
However got someone in the parliament speak up for u mother... she say SAHM help groom SG futture w/o u all there might be more children grew up to be a trouble maker to society...
Salute to u SAHM that are willingly to sacrifice to mould the future SG....

last nite, I thought charlene slept @ 11 plus will slp thru the nite... who knows, she woke up @ 12:45am and stay awake... dun want to slp... arrrrgh, hb n i have a terrible nite... i cannot tahan so i KO already... hb was carrying her n whenever he put her down in cot, she'll b awake, only until 3plus, then she's willing to slp...
js now hb was telling me, he rather she woke up @ 5am, then to stay awake until 3am... at least she wakes up @ 5, he knows that he already slp for hours... haha... I say i rather she slp thru till 7am...

My gal drinking less n less milk, sometimes only 60-90 ml then refuse to drink liao..somemore is EBM, so diluted still drink so little...argh !!
