thanks for asking.. Me sick.. very sick till i turned off my HP into silent mode so office can call but no one pick up.. so bad hor.... very stress with work. i feel like switching into diff area but dun know which area to go to.

I also have a blog for both kids but i dun want to give it here... May be i put it in the Yahoo group.

mummies, i realise something... my boy can actually nap quite awhile like 1 to 2 hrs at once. He slept at abt 4pm just now, and still not awake yet. Usually his naps are really short like half an hour. I thought that is normal. Maybe my place is quieter, no one to disturb him as he is at my mom's pl on weekdays. Hope he stays this way, so I can have longer breaks :p

Something to ask mummies here:

HEAT RASH
My boy is prone to heat rash around his neck. Other than hydrocort cream, what remedy can I use cos I dun really like the idea of applying hydrocort cream whenever there is a rash, afterall is a medicine.

when my boy get rashes around his neck I just use Pureen medicated powder,buy at kiddy palace.apply after bath and before he sleep

isaac is 5 yrs odler than ian...i waited ard isaac was 4 yrs then i started to try for 2nd kid cos i felt that isaac is old enuff to understand and therefore less jealousy..cos i always told him that he is korkor and need to help me to take care of didi when i knew i was preggie..in fact he was so delighted to be korkor..and now he can help me to look after didi for a while..like if i need to poo..or shower..he can play with him and help me to to get diapers, rash cream etc or even throw diaper that is full of ian's poo..hahaha..and most impt he is old enuff not to be carried by me..my fren had 2 kids...1 yr diff..aiyo both need to carry and if same time cry for milk...headache...

my boy also pull ..I think is Zita BB's short too , that time in Gymboree. Hiaz.. don't know why his hands are so itch everything also touch and pull.

No 2 ?? I think must wait until my ACCA complete and when I am a CPA then have no. 2 ( provided it is a GIRL ). But definitely before my HB turn 35 yrs old. Cannot imagine when my no. 2 turn 21 and he is already 56..haha

the trial is more like using music and some activity to bond mummy and baby. My conclusion, it is fun... my boy enjoy it. But travelling the GWC is a no-no so maybe wait till he is 3 yr old i will send him to Yamaha.

Hi mummies,

Wah realised my ger is sleeping earlier n earlier!!! so happy... i think she is almost back to her routine again.

Forgot to tell me MIL to buy some other ingredients to make her porridge... feel so bad that she is always eating the same food over n over again. MIL also didnt ask me ... just buy the same things for 2 weeks. I also no time to go out marketing with Cait in tow. Now making her porridge for tml... dunno what time then can sleep haiz...

2nd Child:
We have no plans to have 2nd child for the moment. Actually i planned to have a child by end of this yr but with Cait a handful... i have second thoughts esp since hb been working so hard these few days (OT alot!!) n I m left taking care of Cait alone. Had a disagreement with my mum so now no help from her side. FIL n MIL too old to help take care of Cait n don't want them to get stressed out so i m shouldering everything upon myself. hb knows n at least have some support from him.

re heat rash, i always use cool boiled water to clean the area, then apply a v v thin layer of desitin cream. it clears up pretty fast. maybe can try?

Blessings - U can buy a type of medicated powder from chinese medical hall (orange colour flat round container). It use for heat rash, I recommended to jurong_gal, wonder if she find it useful, but my boy's rash clear and never come back again after his 1st mth.

Hong - Sorry to hear that you're sick. Seen a doc? What did doc say? Must be very stressed at work *sayang hong hong*
 
2nd child - Actually, yes I do think of having one at a much later stage, when E is abt 2-3 yo. but then again, who's going to look after my number 2? I cant afford to send E and no 2 to childcare and infant care, if can afford also hard to ferry them here and there. I think even if no1 is older, they will still need lots of different kind of TLC from us...and they will be like so jealous coz we keep playing with no2 and neglect them since they are old enough to play themselves. I rather give E a playmate and shower both the same kind of TLC. I reckon that I be scolding E very frequently if I have no2 and when he's in his terrible 2s.

but frankly, the real main reason is i just want to get it over and done with...and i can be back to the society to work...taking care of bbz are no joke matter. Imagine I am just over with sleepless nights, and then 1-2 yrs later, Ive got to do it again! wow.. THen i will foget all my babies tips..

but for sure de, u all will hear me nag nag nag lo if i really have no2.

agree with u. Cannot imagine going through 10 mth pregnancy.. 3-4 mth of sleepness night and who to take care of no 2.
I am already a nagger.. I nag at my HB everyday, please remember to to this and that. LOL

to add on to what dsii commented. Actually there are pros and cons in having a 2nd one when the 1st one is older. the point tat dsii mentioned is really true. My gal is oso 5 yrs older than my boy. In fact, there is no sibling rivalry at all between my gal and my boy. My gal loves her younder bro so much tat when i joked with her i wanna give him away, she cried and refuse to let me do that. She oso helped in all the ways issac had done. She kepting kissing and hugging her brother.
But the con is u have to start the process of taking care of a baby all over again, just when u had enjoyed 'good life' for so long. Moreover, u really feel the difference when u had a baby 5 yrs later. Physically it really is a toil.

I also agree with what dsii cand yenny commented. I want my ger to sayang the younger bro/sis. Sibling rivalry esp if it's close age can be difficult to handle and if its not well-managed, either kid may feel neglected.

2nd child: I think it is good to have a much older kid so that they are more sensible when preparing for a 2nd baby but as for me, if I wait too long, I dunno if I really want cos maybe in a comfortable stage already. Anyway, such thing is really not up to me cos babies are blessings from God.

Yup, have been using the powder u reccommend to me. Its great ! Can clear up my gal rashes at the neck pretty fast in 1 -2 days, but my gal rashes still come n go cos she sleeps in the cot at nite n its hot lor, cos of the bumper though we have fan circulation for her liao....

Im also semi-sick liao...having fever on n off so just keep sleeping away in the weekends, nw still having cough n painful boobs (dunno blocked ducts or infection)...

if u can handle both well then it ok to go ahead.

For me the difference is 2.5yr. I am not sure is it the right timing cos Julian is not in our planning.

Janelle do reject Julian in the 1st month but she learnt to love her little brother later.

2.5yr interval - at least we let Janelle attend enrichment class and she get our full attention. Now with Julian it is pretty hard to make arrangement and start sourcing for trial for Julian again.

I have to think of the logistic issue etc etc.

As the bb need alot of ur attention and the elder one is at the peak of the learning stage so very hard to share time among the kids. Sometime i feel bad that i didnt spend enough time with Janelle. Luckily, she went to school and still continue something useful. Definitely i wun want my ger to be too lagging behind.

2nd child: my colleague has 3 kids, all one year apart.. 8,9,10 this year. she keeps telling me how good it is cos she just 'suffer first n enjoy later'. which is quite a good idea if can financially/physically/emotionally to push thru for the first few years. cos after that, her kids get to play together more n closer lor.

for me.. no choice but to wait. cos hubby still schooling mah n we living with in-laws during weekdays cos need their maid(tho living with parents actually supposed to be helpful cos got extra hands rite... not always true! grr.) n mil told hubby make sure dun havoc with me cos she doesn't want another kristen. snort. but anyway, i'm all for waiting cos of practical reasons. can't afford it now. i can't imagine having to put two babies to sleep. then need two cots? two carseats? omg. logistical problem.


yb - ur hubby is quite sweet to make up for his mistakes.. haha.. at least he made up for his big bad boo-boo.


skin rashes - mummies, hai. my girl has eczema (problem after problem). think it's caused by hot weather, n cos my fil told d maid n us that it's okay to let kristen crawl onto the carpet n let her 'explore'. --> cldn't write this in the blog.. haha. i cldn't argue with him then, but after that incident her skin flared up quite abit so had to bring her to dr sim who told us most likely it's eczema. sian. their house has lots of those furry furry expensive looking carpets n it's only vacuumed once a week. sigh. so big yet kristen can't crawl around much. mil told me to get another playmat.. aiyoh.

noticed in your blog that you are using brown rice with nuts. Where did u buy it? is it for baby? Wont the nut be too hard for your boy when you cook? Will like to try yoghurt for my boy, is it too sweet for yoplait? I give my boy pigeon's biscuits and he likes it but noticed that there is salt content...

Is the tt a trial? i did have a trial at sin ming plaza. it was quite fun but after that my boy gotten sick. so i stop for a while, can i put tentatively first. Can u let me know more details, i didnt know parkway have tt? where u stay? cos parkway quite eastern side?im in the northern side.

yes,the brown rice for baby,has the nuts(green bean ,red bean,wheat and lentil etc)I bought it at DAiso,it`s not hard after cook with slow cooker,soak the brown rice with nuts with hot water before putting inside the cooker

nice photos at the BnC. Looks like mummies and babies had a lot of fun. Wish I could have joined in too, but house arrest sentencing won't end till wed.

very pei fu all the mummies with the nice blogs for their babies, most days I just flop down on the sofa after work and visiting Arin at my mom's place...don;t think have the energy for another any time soon.
