BnC trial
Date: 10th March (Saturday)
Time: 4pm
Price: $13.15

NOTE!!: Received an email from BnC confirming the trial. However, they stated very clearly that a minimum of 8 must be met. In the event that less than 8 appear, they will still charge us the price of 8 person. I think this is fair to them as they would need to pay the instructor.

I have attached the BnC form here. Please print and bring along that day.

Hi Peach,

Tks for your compliments abt my ger's eyes. Let me look for photos with hats.

Just out of curiosity, you said your ger sometimes make a scene in public. Do you know why?? I mean is it becos she is tired or hungry? My ger does get cranky in public too.

Re weaning off pacifiers, I think it's abit earlier to wean off now cos our bbs still can't be reasoned. My ger doesnt take pacifiers, but for my nience and nephew, they only wean off when they are 2 but they can understand some form of reasoning.

PM,
Wil transfer$$ to u now!

i also feel like weaning my bb off his pacifier.. i dun mind him sucking to sleep n its really useful when he is cranky. problem is we have to wake up in the middle of the night, a few times somemore to help him pick up his pacifer n put it back into his mouth.. very tiring!!! anyway has a solution? i read somewhere says have to let him cry for a few days... just hoping for a better solution... anyway has 1?

Misaryeo,
I also read from a magazine that say let BB cry. They write let them cry for awhile then go attend to them. Each time drag the time longer before u attend to them again. Soon they will know crying is not helping at all and they will learn to pacifer themself back to sleep...

---> I think is Motherhood Magazine..

MTDT,
My SIL is convinced that organic food is good for baby. I casually mentioned her one day what you posted, and she was very surprised cos it's contrary to what a lot of other reports say.. So she wanna have a read of the article..

Sorry to trouble you again, what's the date of the report? I'll try to look for it and forward to her.

huh... cant rem wat date leh... let me try to find.

i think organic food is still good. but dun be 100% organic. mixture of organic n nonorganic might be a better way.

Nitegal - the report is on the Feb 24

SINGAPORE: Following a recent recall of an organic baby food product in the US, a local nutritionist said it is not advisable to start infants on such food.
Organic food is all the rage and even organic baby food is readily available at most supermarkets.

Most are 40 to 60 percent more expensive than inorganic ones, but many parents do not seem to mind.

They like the fact that organic food is produced naturally and free from preservatives and other chemicals.

Yet protecting babies from exposure to such chemicals in food may not be a good thing, said a nutritionist from Alexandra Hospital.

Delayed exposure may lower the babies' body resistance.

The nutritionist also said that children who grow up on organic food may appear to have better complexion.

But they may also fall ill more easily as their body may have lower resistance against germs and bacteria.

She said organic baby foods are no different from inorganic ones in terms of nutritional value so parents should not put their babies on a prolonged organic food diet.

To keep a baby healthy, it is important to provide him or her with a balanced diet and to prepare and cook the food well.

Weaning off pacifer - I can die if my boy doesnt take pacifer. He needs that to sleep, before, he used my nipples, but i sort of wean him off by giving him pacifer. I guess I wait til when he's older and start to think abt this. Misaryeo - Me too, very tiring indeed to wake up a few times just to past him the pacifer, and the he sucks n dozez off when the pacifer drops he cries again. I wake up more time at night than i go toilet in the day time.

Sandy - My boy will cry til the whole neighbour hood knows and then hubby gets heartache.

sandy.. thks.. i guess i have to bear wif this till i take care of him myself next month... cos now i implement also no use.. my parents whose still taking care of him now cannot bear to see him cry... everytime i bring back... i have this prob... haiz...

PM, i'm glad got pple share my pain... i agree wif u.. really more times then i go toilet in the day...

sandy... tried teether but she will look for pacifier when sleeping time.

may... i read somewhere it's better to wean bb off pacifier b4 they turn one... so i'm working towards that lo. hehe...

PM... you so funny! when i read bout the part u say u wake up more time at night than go toilet! haha!!!

misaryeo and PM... so ur bb has the pacifier in their mouth the whole night they're sleeping? how bout the day? hv u girls tried not giving them the pacifier and pat them to sleep? does it help?

Brambles,Haha.. its quite true lo.. Day I busy and have to time to go toilet evem. E will cry when he is woken up to realise his pacifier is not in his mouth, but if he's fast asleep and the pacifier drops out he's ok with it. Day time nap he will also cry and ask for pacifer. My boy is quite fussy de, he will still want to see me even when he manage to find the pacifer and puts in his mouth, he needs the patting to go back to sleep too.

Sometimes when im outsde and the pacifier drops he cnat take them no choice... he will fuss and fuss til he's very very tired then falls asleep but the sleep wont usually be very long. coz we're out, and he's a super light sleep, without e pacifier he sleeps even shorter period.

nitegal, i think for food, go by motto of "everything in moderation" is the best. too much of a good thing can be bad as well!

PM... haha.. good luck with ur battle with E. when he cries is not because he's hungry but cos of pacifier ah?

Peach - Yes, its very true. Sometimes I see him sucking his pacifer real hard like the past 2 nights but when i make milk for him, he clamped his mouth shut.
I wasted like 5 bottles of FM..

BTW, yr blog cant put comments? Need to register? Wanted to comment on the sleeping patterns part 1. hahahahah...

Brambles,
Same look for pacifer when sleeping time...
sad.gif

so must bear with it..do your BB split the pacifer out when he go into dreamland? My BB will auto split it out...

Misaryeo & PM,
I think I am fortunate that is my HB's duty to take care at night and he don't cry like want to tear the whole house down unless bad dream or wet diaper..lol
Salute U 2 very Wei DA Mummy

PM... ya, same! my girl's naps in the day are v short if she doesn't have the pacifier
sad.gif

sandy... previously, SOMETIMES she will spit out. now... no. when we try to pull it out, sometimes she will wake up also. sigh... how?

may, ya... it's either tired/hungry/bored. n her mood changes in 2 seconds. one moment happy next moment can be screaming. no warning one. so even when know why she's crying, still have to take some time to prepare milk or pat her on the shoulder to sleep. so within that small gap, she's wailing like mad.

if she's bored, it's even worse... nothing much can be done.

PM, haha.. i was contemplating whether or not to put the cbox... okay la. i put.. u give me incentive to put.. so u can comment. xanga needs users to register first.. ha..

oh yes, i've wasted FM on my girl also. sometimes she cry like wanna drink like that. then when give she dunwan n will fight with the bottle. sigh.

PM, but when u move bb back to ur room, then u create another problem for urself leh. u did not solve the pacifier prob n next he'll grow accustom to sleeping wif u.. then how?

brambles, for my boy, sometimes in the day, he can sleep without pacifier... but at night sometime can soemtimes cannot. if he fall asleep without his pacifier then in the middle of the night he'll wake up n look for it. if he sleeps wif pacifier n pacifier drops out when he sleeps, he'll still look for his pacifier in the middle of the night. so he summary is.. he look for his pacifier at night. for me very hard to implement anythign now, co smy parents lah.. will give him pacifier whenever he shows sign of crankiness or sleepy... so watever i do now will be of no use.

sandy, i dunwant to be wei da mummy.. i want my sleep :p

Brambles,
may u try pull it out when u know she is very sound asleep & nt sucking it. ( Just a suggestion )

PM,
Yes fortunate but all this duty etc came a long way after my HB realised that he is a DADDY already and it is his duty to play a part as a father & Husband..
I wonder what the cousellor spoke to him over the phone. He seem very careful with his action and especially when I talk about applying "PROTECTION ORDER" for my friend who is abuse by her aunt and cousin. hehe

Hi mummies,
Pacifier - my ger still taking it and I am not in the hurry to wean her off that.

I had checked with the dentist. it is ok for the time being but it is better to wean off before 5yr cos the adult teeth may start to erupt.

Pacifer or finger? Of course pacifier cos u cant wean off finger right.

My nephew like to suck his thumb and to the extend the skin peel off. some kids will have ugly thumbnail or u can say rotting nail. U wun want ur kid to have that. My sister said she will rather her son took pacifier than sucking his thumb.

Sandy / Julie,

You both work in hotels huh! Me too. I am working at Hilton! Maybe one day should meet up for lunch. ;)

sandy.. i did that before and am still doign it.. pull out pacifier when bb sleeps.. he is fine wif that, however still will wake up to look for his pacifer after a few hours. i guess wat i have to do is keep doing it till he realise he dun really need his pacifier

Hi mummies,

Anyone encounter this? My ger has been waking up more often at night for past few weeks. She used to be able to sleep thru d night, wake up at most once only but not for milk also, usu just have to pat her back to sleep. But nowadays she wakes up few times...she isn't feeling unwell, in fact her appetite is very good. The only possible reason i can think of is her feeding schedule cos gradually replacing her lunch n dinner with solid food.

This is her feeding schedule now:

9am: 240ml FM (sometimes replace 1 scoop FM with cereal)
12 noon: Porridge (1 full baby bowl)
1.30-2pm : 210-240 ml FM
5.00-5.30pm : Porridge or cereal (1 full baby bowl)
8.30pm: 240-280ml FM

Fruits are served as snacks in between.

Misaryeo,
Julian only takes 180ml too and he asks for milk 2hr later. May be i shld increase his intake...

Pacifier - of course.. she need that for her nap too but other time of the day i wun let her have it.

Zita, YB, Peach,..
which website have those free software to make nice nice scrape book? I am on MC today thinking of download some to try

misaryeo,
lately gotta force her to take her naps also...

1st nap: late morning (ard 1 hr)
2nd nap: mid afternoon (only half hr)
3rd nap: late afternoon/evening ( half hr also)

Night: 8.30-9pm to 8am but can wake up 2-3 times anytime at night

Yes she finishes everything i feed her, in fact just upgraded her milk bottles to bigger ones (300ml). so not sure if she is too full n have tummy upset at night?

hong, wat i mean is that does she wake up half way thru and cry for pacifer? i think u can increase her feed since the interval is 2hrs. for my boy, though his intake is 180ml, interval is 4hrs.. so i guess shld be fine. n sometimes he cannot finish his feed even after the 4hrs..

OC, is it becos she playful n dun wanna sleep? maybe monitor for abt a week n see wat happens. sometimes my boy will be like this for a day or 2, then back to his routine again. my boy quite auto, abt 1.5 to 2hrs later.. he wanna nap... however his naps are short too, mostly abt 30mins. and he naps abt 3x to 4x a day . however, he sleeps quite late at night, usually abt 11-1130pm.. sometimes will wake up at 5-6am, sometimes straight thru to the next morning abt 9am...

Misaryeo..
mine is a HE... hee he.
He dun really wake up for pacifier but more for milk. If he fidget i will let Julian has some water and put him back to sleep again.

Hi OC,

I read somewhere at ard this age, they tend to get excited that they can sit or stand, so will wake up easily n sorta practise their sitting n standing skills....
For my gal ,she's also like tat, since CNY she has been waking up frequently everynite n we find her either sitting or standin up in her cot, crying for our attention....

misa... my girl is same like ur boy... will need to sleep after 2 - 3 hours.. but the sleep can range from 20 minutes to 2 hours which makes it quite unpredictable. she drinks only 180ml each time.. sometimes cannot finish also.. cos b4 she sleeps she'll drink a little bit more then fall asleep.

oc, she wakes up crying or wakes up happy in the middle of the nite? maybe drink more n pee more also.. try changing the diaper? ha.. such a primitive idea.. but it doesn't hurt to try. hehe.

Hi mummies,

wah... yest was super tired, went for the IT fair then the Baby Fair at Taka. End up didnt buy anything even though already plan what to buy. hehe queue too long so decided not to buy anything.
Went to Paragon to chk out the scrapbk shop... hehe too ex... think thomson plaza stuff cheaper n equally nice.

Sleep:
haven't had a gd n continuous nite sleep ever since Cait was born. That day hb just mentioned to me that my eye bags quite bad... aiyo... the only person having a gd sleep is Cait...

Pacifier/finger:
my hb dun encourage using the pacifier. Anyway she hardly puts her fingers or anything in her mouth so we didnt have a problem with that. She just have an addiction to latching on esp so at night which can go on for hrs....

PM, charlene is the same, usually will cry for pacifier during her slp... these few days even worst... bcos of her flu & cough, she wakes up few hours @ night toss here n there... really distubing my slp... some more i still need to work.

hey... Cait also wakes up in the middle of the nite to crawl n stand esp standing n trying to walk from one end to the other holding on to the bed frame... can last for an hr or so...

Anyway thanks to all who have shared, will take in your advice n monitor. Otherwise actually everything else is ok, my ger is thriving well n a bit on d "heavyweight champion" side also...haha...so in answer to my own question..wont start giving her night feeds since i think she is quite 'well fed', n we usu dun make eye contact when she wakes at night or talk to her too much except asking her to go back n sleep.

If i find out anything new, will share here. If not will just tell myself dat it happens n this phase will pass!
