YB, same here charlene js weigh 7kg 2day... brought her to see doc cos having running nose, being infected by me... I'm on 2 days MC... btw, i haven't count the number of pics but got 2 cds...

Tomatoes
They're in many baby recipes. Citrus fruits shouldn't be offered on its own or as a main component of meals but OJ for eg. is added to baby dishes in small amounts (fish in orange sauce. sweet potato with orange) and it's supposed to be good for them. What's recommended is a tablespoon of OJ with their morning cereal as well. Heinz has jars of 'Apple and Orange (orange 3%)' for 7mths onwards. The fear is the level of acidity in these foods but at such low concentrations. It's personal but I'm not gonna fuss too much about these things unless my bb reacts negatively to them.

Ryan also had rashes outbreak after his viral fever. PD said was fake measles. She gave me calamine lotion to apply on his body. Within 2 to 3 days, it subsided.
 
aiyo..just now ian woke up and play by himself quietly..till i heard some babbling then went into room to see if he wakes up..and oh my gosh...i smelt very strong RU YEE OIL..then the next thing i saw was opened bottle and ian's red and swollen mouth..and he kept sticking out his tongue..YES...he 'drank' some RU YEE OIL..he didnt cry leh...wah piang...then i faster brought wet towel to wipe his mouth n tongue..then made him drink some milk...

is Ian ok? Better keep washing his mouth and tongue with water...probably not alot was drank since the opening of the oil is small....

since sat, she has been waking up at around 4am until 6 plus then wanna slp... last night was worst... she got flu n difficulty in breathing kept wanting us to carry her vertical, once we put her in bed she'll cry n cry... so whole night hb was carrying her (bcos i fall sick myself too, actually i pass the virus to her, hehe...) until 6 plus, hb then say he tabolei tahan pass her to me n went to bed (i was isolated in guest room) i put her next to me put she still flip here n there... until she's extremely tired then slp, then me n hb like zombie... bring her to my mum's place then we relieved now back home, hb slp like pig...

She angry with me cos her toy might nt be sold out .. haiz

how Ian open the cap ?? My boy also like that but he ate J & J body lotion which I left on the bed after bathing him.. (Mine is the press type bottle, got some reside on the side of the dispenser)..lol

Cos I blur blur added in 5 baby tomatos into the Kaylyn's porridge, hoping to improve the taste. Luckily, my gal doesn't react to it. But still, I take extra caution from now onwards.

I do add a few drops of lemon when I'm making apple purees. Cos it's only a few drops, the acidity level is not high...

Re: sleeping thru the night
Germayn still wakes up about twice at night. Hope she'll start to slp thru the night earlier. Her elder bro and sis only did that after she was born, when they were abt 20 months.

I have so many friends giving birth this year. so excited for them. sometimes i'll go into the archives to see our posts during preg. nice memories. haha.
 
hahha..ya loh...wonder if he can take real hot stuff next time when he grows up...OR cannot take at all...cos got phobia mah..hahahaha..jialat....

Your Ian is amazing...his motor skills must be very well developed to be able to open the bottle cap. That means he understands how to use his fingers liao? wow!

I think I cannot attend this Sst's BNC Trial. Xavier down with runny nose and cough again. Brot him to kids clinic yesterday. The PD said if we drag another 2 days and he might get bronchitis. She gave him a nuberlizer treatment yesterday. I think i better dun bring him to the trial this Sat in case he still haven recovered, scared will spread to other babies. Sorry ah.

aquaducks trial - failed even tho it was sunny. my girl was fast asleep at 10am n didn't wake up till 11. so went swimming at the condo pool instead. haha.


misaryeo - dsii has the software for the scrapbooking thing with her now. her hubby managed to install it for her. hehe. i've not made copies (alot of things to do during wkend liao, like resting n not turning on the pc except to upload photos)..


Sandy - sometimes these pple annoy me, for wanting to sell their items above marketprice. like the BP for disney height charts. near my office selling 3 for 20 bucks. on the BP here they selling for 1 for 10 or something like that. really make good $$$. somemore that store has an outlet at Raffles Place leh, got rental etc to cover.. then the BP sell so much more expensive.. omg.


dsii, wah, ur son can open ru-yi oil ah. very capable. but dangerous. haha. now must keep all medication totally away from him liao!


oh oh.. i noticed a book at the library "Einstein Never Used Flash Cards". it's my current read. quite interesting (after i dumped the "Baby Signs" book and "Teach Your Baby Maths" book back at the library). It's about disputing all those mozart-makes-your-baby-smarter theories and talks about playing = learning and encourages more about giving our kids more of a childhood filled with playing instead of stressing on academics. I think.. so far, this book appeals to me more than the "Teach Your Baby Maths" book.. .. still reading. hehe.

hey... draggin the cough on would cause bronchitis? i asked my hubby to ask dr sim last time whether she has bronchitis or not cos her cough has been dragging on. then dr sim told him that if baby get bronchitis it's get bronchitis straight. not from cough then become bronchitis. huh... which is true ah?.. or did my hubby hear wrongly..

the pd told us when the phlegm and infection gets into the lungs (thru the bronchi), it's considered bronchitis. If it is normal cough, the phelgm and infection stops at the throat. Even when my boy is not coughing, the PD can hear the presence of phelgm in the lungs when he is breathing.

Sandy, haha they called me n i trying to go this Sunday. Will keep trying every week bah. Trying to avoid april cos hubby having exams. But if until end march still cannot i join u all for the april one lor! :p

peach - i also wanted to read tat book.
I believe in moderation in many things. beside flashcards... play still goes on, activities like going to the zoo or garden still goes on. so not totally focus on academics. one thing in common is baby 1st 6 yrs are like a sponge. they will absorb anything and everything tat is being presented to them.

peachsorbet, ur scrapbook software is for pc one is it? i using mac, so maybe cannot also. but i still can't work on it yet... my mac "migrated" to US liao.. i have to wait 2 months before i get to see it again... then i can start work on my blog and scrapbook...

PM, when u puree the vege n fruits, how long can u store in the freezer? u really very good mummy.. i very lazy, so far all using jars.. the most i did is add fish. for my pumpkin porridge i also use jars lor... u mummies are so hardworking.. when i lazy.. then i feed cereal :p. i feel so pai say. since now i'm not working converted to SAHM wif a contract of 2 yrs) then i shall look up to u mummies as good examples... puree food for baby...

can someone who is going to the BnC trial on sat help attached the application form that lucida attached the other time.. i can't seem to find it leh...

last qn: need to ask u mummies esp those who breatfeed. I stop BFing in jan, got my menses abt 1-2 weeks after i stop BFing. then feb, no menses till now.. is it normal?

I read the Einstein book while pregnant and agree with the concept that we should play with our babies. But having read and sorta understood what GD's concept, I think the flashcards is meant to be fun and educational for the baby and mummy. So I guess if the baby is having fun and enjoying the flashcards session, it's more like play to them anyway. So the two concepts don't really differ that much in essence. Erm...am I making sense?

Btw, I just attended the Shichida preview last Sat...now wondering if should sign Arin on. But sooo expensive...sigh sigh.

wanna check wif u mummies (today abit free so got more qns to ask...) does ur bb perspire alot..even when he/she sleeps? my boy perspire really alot n only on the head. even when the aircon is on.. his head will keep perspiring.. there will always be a big patch of damp area where he sleeps..
 


Left the Shichida pamphlet at home, but off hand, think it was around $800 for a term (3 months), once a week + $300 (refundable deposit) + another $300 to attend a compulsory parent workshop for both parents (I can't remember if this is refundable) + more $$ to buy materials for home use. Supposed to stay for at least a year to see real results...so guess it would be about $4K in a year?
