Is that tau kwa? Sorry my mandarin skills are non-existent. My mum says tau kwa better than tau hu for babies cos tau hu has additives to make it so soft and smooth.
 
Mummies..my gal last intake at 10pm then morining milk at 6am... She oso cant crawl, but can sit unsupport...she still dont noe how to stand n jump unless in jumperoo: )

She weight 7kg at 8mth : ) 10 pecentilage..siaz
 
mummies... what are the classes u girls going for? can i join? so many, so hard to keep track...

btw... my girl is now recovering from flu and has got rashes on her head (scalp) which gets real itchy. any tips to make it go away fast?

Ethan will prob crawl soon. Keagan also go backwards first. then i put a new toy in front of him one day and he moved towards it!

can just put the tofu into the slow cooker and cook? those normal tofu is it?

BTW, I only use either spinach, pumpkin, carrot, potato, sweet potato, fish and/or pork for porridge. Can we use beef? Now I know can add tofu, any other ingredients we can use for porridge?
 
PM, think Emerson normal range, no? Mine also, at last check ard 7mos, he was 8.7kg, now 8mos, dunno how much he weighs but i know the longer i carry him, the lower he gets, esp when walking. heh.

ethan also very naughty, on high chair, he will open legs big big and put his feet on the arm rests, likes to slouch instead of sit upstraight.

i also tried the same method, place a new toy in front. how he tried to go for it is move backwards then rotate himself almost 360degrees and reach for new toy.
 
Blessings, I am doing that loh, just dump them inside and will mash it when I feeding BB. I bought Twa Kwa. Beef arh.. Not too sure leh, but think u prob need to grind the beef, so tough how BB eat? but I use pork as stock.. I never tried Spinach before coz I dunno "deal with it" no blender to blend.

Emerson is eating broccoli porrrdige w tofu and fish today. Sometimes i put cauliflower too. Soemtimes I give BB pork, coz after being in teh slow cooker for so long its very tender, but hv to buy the rigth kind of pork. He also eats egg yolk from hard boil egg, but not very often, coz i feel that im wasting the egg coz hv to throw away the egg white.

Missmoon, yah. he's in the 75 percentile.

Dylan has Laughing Cow cheese cubes. Since 6mths. Yoghurt around the same time. He has tried Yoplait baby, Yoplait kids (petit miam), and he's now on Simply Better Organic, which I like best. Yoplait Baby has no added sugar but the serving is too big and it's expensive. Yoplait petit miam has just nice small servings, is cheap, but too sweet. Simply Better tastes very nice, is organic, and comes in a resealable bottle so I use it over a few days and Dylan's tummy is fine.
 
Ok, thanks. I will go buy Laughing Cow cheese cubes. Any flavours preferred? Or plain ones? Simply Better Organic - Are they sold in Cold Storage?

Thanks! Still putting play yard purchase on hold. Waiting to see how Dylan is. His preferences. He still can't crawl so can't gauge. And we're moving soon so I'm going to wait and see how things are in the new place. Whether we can corner a small area off, where the sun hits in the day etc. It's not ready yet so we haven't seen it.

my baby also cannot crawl yet...sigh. She can sit unsupported most of the time but will topple over if she turn to quickly. Her weight at 6 months was 9.25kg and length about 72cm...think somewhere along the 97th percentile.

My mom thinks her body too heavy..difficult to learn to crawl...I think she's just lazy...ha ha

Will try to set up msn tonight at home (office computer barred it).
 
Zoe, u can rent them. I just got mine yesterday. So far, Emerson can sit in there for awhiel to play the toys on the panels. But it can be quite bored if he's alone.

you can chop the spinach into very small pieces and put everything into the slow cooker. It will turn very soft when it is cooked. Oh, can use cauliflower....hmmm...i only tried broccoli. Yup, you are right, beef is tough when well done...chicken?

I also intend to give ryan cheese and yoghurt too but not too sure if his tummy can take it. Last time, when I was in his babysitter's place, his nanny blend vegetables, cheese and fish; and put everything into the porridge (those powdered brown rice). Dunno if it taste good. Where can I get the yoghurt? you serve it cold for Dylan?

Laughing Cow... Plain flavour. I try to give him bland foods.
Simply Better is sold in certain Cold Storages only. It's a small white plastic translucent bottle with a blue plastic cap. About the size of a small apple. White paper lable. Very plain packaging. Australian. Petit Miam I've seen in most NTUC's and CS.
 
Blessings, did u buy the spinach with round headed leafs or those that are more pointed? Think they taste differently.Emerson has many new foods to try... Me very tempted.. but have to stick by the 4 days rule. Me no give Ckn before leh, but I will reserve meat and poulty pdts til maybe 10-12mths old, meanwhile he can get his protein and Vit B from tofu and fish.

I feed Ryan on both types of spinach. I have already given grinded pork and fish to Ryan. PD said can give so I feed him lor...

E's sleeping since 11am. He usually wakes up around 1 hr. i am abit paranoid, keep going into his room to check him even thou I can see him thru the BB monitor.
 
Cheese and Yoghurt
Cheese and yoghurt are dairy so if your bb is drinking cow's milk formula, he should be fine. This is according to my midwife. They are very nutritious.
Cheese... Dylan has it for dinner. Cauliflower and cheese is the best, or brocolli, carrots, most vege, cheese is nice with fish as well.... Cheese is often used in Western baby meal recipes. He used to have it more often when he was on rice cereal, before he moved on to porridge. Nowadays I give it to him as a snack more often.

Other foods
Dylan has pork liver, pork, watercress, peas, tomatoes, celery.... and the usual carrots, cauliflower, brocoli, spinach, sweet potato, pumpkin.

You are paranoid indeed. ;-p Dylan used to nap only 45min but about one month ago, he started taking very long naps. 1.5 - 2.5h. Yay! Perhaps E is starting to do the same.

Pumpkin is BIG. How do u divide them separately for Emerson's porridge? U just dump it into the sloe cooker?

Chicken:
Just gave Kaylyn chicken w/ chicken sauce & sweet potatos for lunch. So far, okay. Cos she's trying to get used to the new taste.

Tomatos,
Just found out tat tomatos are citrus fruits & we should NOT feed cirtus fruits to bb below 12mths due to sensitivities..they incl. lemon, tomato, grapefruit, oranges, pineapple.
 
Zoe - So happy that he take long nap, but i dare not do other things such as vacuuming, coz afraid i will wake him up. dare no go bathe tooo...

YB - I grated the big pumpkin n store in the fridge, add them when cooking the porridge. Yah, I was asking u whether we can giv tomatoes when u mention the other time...

the pigeon thing did it help make your babys rashes go away? cuz not sure what caused the rashes. everytime she gets it, well used cool boiled water to wipe her head but it doesnt really seem to help

as for calamine lotion dun dare to use cuz my girl always scratch the rashes and then once in a while shell eat her fingers. so cannot right?
 

wendy... thanks. she only has rashes.

blessings... no. saw a PD for her flu. rashes came after that. was wondering if it's the medicine that causes her to sweat it out (for recovery), that's y the rashes? hmm...
