PM - here's the recipe

Microwave Choc Cake
Ingredients:
1/4 cup cocoa
1/3 cup water
3/4 cup plus
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/3 cup water
1 cup granulated white sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 cup plus
2 tbsp. oil
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla

Method:
In a small bowl or cup, combine the cocoa and the first measure of water. Don't bother to stir; the cocoa won't dissolve. Microwave on High for 40 seconds. Stir until smooth; mixture will be thick. Set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix thoroughly. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the cocoa mixture, the remaining measure of water, oil, egg and vanilla. With a spoon, mix the wet ingredients thoroughly, then blend in the dry ingredients until the batter is smooth. Pour the batter into the microwave pan and microwave on High for 5 to 6 minutes, until the cake begins to pull away from the side of the pan. Check the cake after 5 minutes, and if it isn't pulling from the sides, return it to the microwave for another minute. Let cool in pan. The flavor improves if it can rest 1 hour

Hi MY... =)

JP!! PLease! And if u have chiffon or black forest will be good. Coz that's my DH's fav....

I have microwave.. its a recent new investment. $799... bu she de to use it.. so now its in the storeroom.. waiting for my new house before i instal and start using it.

PM - Here's the recipe for chiffon cake (this recipe is from my friend, he very good in baking wan)

2 1/4 C sifted cake flour
1 1/2 C fine castor sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C veg oil
7 eggs (AA), separated + 3 additional whites
3/4 C freshly squeezed orange juice
2 tablesp grated orange zest
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 tsp cream of tartar (note: I prefer to reduce this to 1/4 tsp to avoid the tart taste)

Preheat oven to 160 deg. C.

Combine flour, all but 2 tablesp sugar, baking powder and salt, and beat 1 min to mix. Make a well in the center. Add the oil, egg yolks, orange juice, zest and vanilla. Beat 1 min or until smooth.

In another large mixing bowl, beat the whites until frothy, add the cream of tartar, and beat until soft peaks form. Beat in the remaining 2 tablesp sugar and beat until stiff peaks form when the beater is raised slowly. Gently fold in the egg whites into the batter with a big whisk until just blended.

Pour into a 10 inch ungreased tube pan. Run a spatula through the batter to eliminate air pockets, and bake for 55 mins or until tester comes out clean. Invert pan and cool in this manner for 1 1/2 hours.

This recipe makes a large and high chiffon cake. Try it, it's very moist and fine-textured.
