but my ex-boss not big size, very slender n slim thruout her pregnancy, still cannot dilate after 12 hrs leh. then she suspect they too early inject epidural, duno if dat is d reason or not

your first BB natural also ? Shld be ok for u dun worry. My HB's sister two time also induce, must wait at least 24 hour then start to dilate and go into labour for her case. ( First & second child same )

I think we better walk more ...then no need suffer so long.

heard epidural must be inject at the correct timing. My HB's sister inject when she less then 5 cm or more dilate . Too early will slow down the progress.

I want to be like the mummy in the documentary.. REN !!!

hahaha....only she can watch loh....teochew opera..hahaha...aircon oso cant on...then if on comp...she will start to nag in living room...aiyo..lucky not stay with her...if not i will ki siao...and give birth at woodbridge ah,...hahahhaaa
 
actually i personally wont insist on my stand for a full natural birth if really cannot, cos i feel dat dragging for so long (48 hrs) can be stressful for d bb as well. we adults can take it but d bb? unless i wan to train d bb at this early stage to be strong...haha

Dilation can be very very long de..but my gynae says if the dilation has no progress then have to do Csection.

i think you must REN hor.. I also first time but see my HB's sister give birth. She also REN.. i trhink if they see u cannot REN then they will inject epidural early if not later u dilate more and more painful they cannot inject u liao. Heard from HB's sister is that they scare needles break if u are in pain cos you sure will struggle and miove.

My hb went reservist this morning.. I wake up and find his boots for him...

Jul04, did u drink milk during yr pregnancy? I heard milk can make u put on weight and some gynae says the milk only benefit the mum and not the baby... so advice not to drink... but i see the annum label, it says its good for BB development. Anyone got more details on this?
 
Hi Sandy,yah if yr dilation is (i think ) more than 3 cm they wont give u epidural liao... generally is 1 hr 1 cm of dilation... anthing more than that is consider abit slow..
 
Dsiitan, huh.. at first i tot u got GD that's why. Initially I very small, each visit only put on 0.5kg. My hb very worried and keep nagging me to drink milk... but i am that sort who doesnt drink milk one.. but for the sake of BB i drink loh. Until my SIL who's also pregg now and seeing Dr Adrian went for her checkup last week and then she put on 4kg in 1 mth. Dr Adrian then tel her stop drinking the milk. My gynae has nothing against it lah.. but he also told me before milk will make u fat.. but it will go away if we breastfeed, coz BF-ing will take up alot of fats and calories....
 
Dsiitan, at first i also being suspected of GD coz each visit i put on moe than 2kg and gyane is worried... so will always take the pp sugar test... but each time is borderline case. Always gena warning to watch my weight.

maybe GD plays a part too..but hor..i kept drinkning milk...1 week can drink few cartons leh...soy milk oso...aiyo...then i saw some mums said will make me and bb fat fat..so i stop...
 
dsii, so every sun without fail u will go to MIL hs ah.. me is every sat.. if sun go will b sian cos mon gotta work.. n we usually will go downto hv dinner with them..
 
I hoping that my first sign of labour is water bag burst and not contractions. Coz contractions can be confusing and very tong ku if have to keep timing it..n enduring the pain, v afraid of false alarm. If it water bag burst at least u know confirm that u are into labour le..

same as u. after 7 hr of labour pain i surrender to epidual. everything was easy after that.

PM,
for 1st 7 hrs i only dilated for 3cm. I was put on drip to fasten up the process. gynae is kind enough to wait somemore.. 14 hrs and my girl was out.
 
Dsii, great to find fellow SAHM! Still struggle with the decision sometimes.....a lot of pressure to work in SG.

PM, I only took lactose free milk in the first few mths of pregnancy becos I am lactose intolerant. But I couldnt get lactose free milk here so stopped and switched to calcium pills. Think my weight gain more because we miss SG food so much that when we moved back we just eat and eat....hahaha
 
Dsiitan, soya milk shld be ok bah.. me talking abt annum milk and full cream milk... Aiya, talking abt soya milk now i feel like drinking lioa. hahaha... must go to compass pt -______-

Dsiitan, feel like going to TM. If i go, wanna meet there? coz maybe i want to go to the body shop there, the body scrubs are $10 cheaper (i think got promo or what) But i will call BS and check first lah.

ya loh..my water bag burst ard 2-3am then ard 9 plus then epi...hahaha...b4 that aiyo..pain manz...gynae still rush back from golf session at malacca..
 
for my GD, the dietician said its ok to drink 4 cups (those small cups u c in govt hosp) of milk a day.. anmum is ok.. but just can hv 2 scoops per cup.. nothing more than that.. cos we need to get enough calcium ... but if u dun like to drink so much milk, u can subsitute with reduced sugar soya milk.. like nutrisoy or marigold soya milk.. but must b reduced sugar..
 
Hong, u mean yr gynae is there to wait for u? My gynae says he will give instructions to the nurses in the delivery ward and only if i 10cm dilated then he will come and "snip" me n delivery BB out... so he says when i see him means "relief" liao.. hahah coz finally can give birth.

if u take other milk, can take HL or low fat milk so that wont put on so much weight... as for fruits, cannot take durian.. cos they will caused us to put on more weight n also its very very high in sugar.. bad for ppl with diabetics..
 
Heheh past few months busy with hub's things... last month busy getting baby's things ready..

Starting today ask maid to slowly take out all baby clothes and nappies to wash liao.
My girl girl still having diarrhea leh.. so these few days very very tired cause never sleep well and she too is v cranky.

This morning 5 plus just woke up to wash her up and wash bed sheet.

I'm obbessed leh... 2nd child induce at 1pm, delivered at 10:13pm. not v long lah.. pain only came at 5pm... So bigger sized mummies, dun worry
