jasline, what is CTG? 2molo will b gg for my check up..will do scanning to c if bb is big anot.. last week doc said if i still haven give birth this week she might wanna induce cos i have gestational diabetics. so i have been controlling my diet since end may till now. then dietician said i underweight cos my weight gain since preg is only 8.6kg.. target shld b at least 10kg plus.. so hopefully now bb is of acceptable weight. so i dun have to induce n bb can pop out when he is ready..
 
japepearl,wah...really ar. I should go and type the word "ren" and enlarged it big big and paste on the wall. hahaha...There is one time when I shut up and walk away when I feel that we are about to have conflict.
 
Jas - I guess you have to close one eye lor...me always do that, less prob.

eeyore - no worries, I think only son and only child (son also) will have a very protective mom. Wah, she offer to cook for you during weekends ah?

wrong wrong.. pampers is not free gift. I think only the diaper bag is FOC. hahaha..

Think some MIL just meant well cos many of us here is 1st time mummy. Of course is also an excuse to come over and see the grandchild lor.

CL suppose to be experienced but sometime u never know wat u will get from CL. Ur MIL may want to be ard to ensure all things are done in "Confinement way".
 
dsiitan, oh.. poor thing like me.. heehe.. so u got do the glucose monitoring every week? sometime poke my fingers till so pain.. luckily only 1 day (7 times a day).. so ur doc got say what anot abt ur bb overweight?
 
dsiitan - Serious ah? Then who doing the confinement for you? For me, MIL said "no" to CL. So, she and DH will do it for me lor.

Jas - lol, it does work coz when you see the word, it often in your mind....lol.
 
fenfen, CTG is to check whether you have contractions. If I am not wrong (I also have not done CTG), they just paste something on your tummy area, and the machine will show whether you have contractions.Anyway, all the best for your tomorrow check-up.

i've already decide to have my confinement at my mum's place... she still arrange this for me... & until now i can't stand the food she cook, too much & oily...
 
ya, dun need rom cert and bank book if not doing BC.

for me, it was quite last min. so on tues, after my gynae checkup, went down to fill up the pre admin form and hand in immediately. gynae did give me a letter for admission as i need to be induce.

for those who book 4 bedder, waiting to be upgraded, try to check in at 11pm. chances of 2 bedder is higher. by 1130pm, alot of beds like taken up liao! :p
 
hong, I know they meant well. That's why I choose to shut up or prepare to close one eye like whtat japepearl says. I am still thinking of "cheating" in some of the confinement rules. hehehe....Hope she don't drop by when I am "cheating".
 
eeyore - I know this may sound strange but my cousin did this and everything went well. Like yourself, she decided to do her confinement at her mom's. However, her MIL also want to cook for her. So, during the weekends, her DH will take a tiffin carrier and collect the food from MIL and bring it back lor. MIL still thinks my cousin ate her food and everyone is happy lor.

me 3 times a week...more cham ah..hahaha...then hor..at times really cant ctrl diet...so level not gd loh...doc said hope bb not too big if not i hv to go c-sect (i dun want)...
 
japepearl, no lah, this is not strange. I heard from my friend as well. It seems to work leh. I think I will be bathing also. Now I bathe with cold water, still feel so hot. How to tahan the hot weather, and some more no bath for so long. And I definitely going to sleep with air-con on.

cooking??? just cook normal one loh..just add some giner and sesame oil..hehe..me dun eat lots of stuff..like kidney liver..etc...so ok lah

u can now count down already.. is your BB still active inside your womb ? As in still Kicking you etc ? I seldom hear ppl deliver exactly at week 40.
 
Sandy - Still active...not much kicking but lots of movements. Guess he can't move like last time since he is head down and engaged. You leh?

Need your advice. If we book 4 bedded at TMC n they are not able to upgrade us to 2 bedded, we can request to change rite? Do they give out anything when discharge?
 
lollypop - With regards to the upgrade, it really depends. Sometimes, they will auto upgrade if not fully occuppied. But, if not, they will charge accordingly. Wah, so your BB head down and engaged also lah. Any false contractions/cramps yet?

Me only 37 week and 1 day only but my baby head down at week 25 already. Now is waiting for it to pop. My baby don't know kicking or is rolling in side. Can see my tummy some time got one lump at one side then subside and go to the other side lol
DOn't dare to keep any outstanding work in the office just in case i pop suddenly.

yes, these few days got mild contractions. do u have? tomorrow i m going for my checkup, they will do the ctg to monitor bb's heartbeat n contractions. gynae said to wait for natural delivery. aiyo, now really can't wait for bb to pop...

me also going for lunch, will be back shortly.
 
lollypop - it really depends.

my colleague went in on 19 jun, all 2 bedded are full. so she stayed in 4 bedded. even she requested to "change" to 2 bedded, also hv to wait till next day, when other pple discharge.

in the end, she stayed in 4 bedded thruout. :p
she admit at ard 12 midnite.

tat time i went in at 1130pm, the officer in charge were "searching" for me a 2 bedded. the couple after me like no chance to upgrade liao. :p

oh, think they also depends on ur gynae one. i overheard them saying, room xxx reserved for Dr xxx's one etc. :p

give out? means those freebies?

yes PIL are gd but sometime they will said something i feel irriated or they will do something i cannot tahan. I just closed one eye cos they really help us alot.

Elective Csec (Spinal): $1035
(Package - 4 bedded 2 days) but had a auto upgrade to 2 bedded and deduct 1 day since original package for csec is 3 days.

out of package items: $1148
this will include the "induced" cost like using of delivery ward, Medicine used like drip, VE etc. however not all are related to "induced" cost. according to the nurse, only about $300 - $400 will be saved if i had gone straight to csec

Dr Charges:
Epidural: $400
Gynae delivery: $1455

Total bill for mom: $3995
Medisave deduction: $2650
Cash:$1345

Baby package: $308 (2days)
Out of package items: $95
PD charges: $220

Total bill for baby: $615
Medisave deduction: $484
Cash:$131

So total bill is about $4615
Deduct Medisave: $3000+
Cash: less than $1500.
