kin, you at 34 weeks 1.9kg.. i 32 wks 1.7kg, my gynae didnt say anything leh... how huh? actually i felt that my bb belongs to low weight, but really gynae didnt say much... sigh..

i think eating beef really helps..but then i feel funny when when i eat beef, after each meal i feel like puking leh..

hi paranoid mummy,

My doc all along was concern but when i really looked worried, he says your bb is still ok. Just on the low wt side. I guess he is the best judge. Apart from the wt, he also looks at the femur lengths, all the different bone and body measurements. If all are still in the acceptable range,then bb is fine. For me, the low wt gain was like still acceptable to him until i reached the 35-36wk mark, then he says can't give chance. So I think just rest and be on the bright side. In my heart, although i was worried, i told myself bb is fine. You should too. As long you cross the 2.5 kg at delivery, the bb is fine. Jia you!!!!!!

U are right. Not only do i feel like puking, i feel that my stomach is stuck with the meat the whole day. to me that is fastest than black chicken or durian becoz the amt of protein is high.Moreover,the amt is a lot too...But I was a little constipated. But it worked, my bb wt gain after that was like 300g in 7days and i put on half kg. Ie more went to the bb...

actually, gynae won't know. Mine was surprised at the bb's sudden wt gain!!! WE have the power to do so you know, rest and lie down more will help wt gain. Walk less will help and eating correctly. Just to let you know. My doc wasy as long as bb crosses 2kg mark, is safe. But if cross 2.5kg mark, he is v v happy. So take comfort. Work hard to rest as we got no time left.

Nurbate,
red meat and durian do help baby to gain weight but u have to make sure u dun get too heaty after eating the durian.

My baby gain 400g in two weeks.. hmm not really alot but still gaining.

Aiyoh...luckily my MIL not so pantang...but anyway, I'll be wearing purple dress in. It can also act as nursing dress (although I'm not BFing).

I heard full term is anytime between Wk 37 to Wk 40. After 40wk is considered post-term liao...I'll b seeing my gynae tis Fri again. I have a hunch tat bb will come out next week.

I took a lot of soy milk, eggs, cheese & ham. Apparently it helps bb to gain weight. My bb is now normal size instead of small size...

I'm feeling calmer now, would try to rest more and drink lotsa soya and try to eat lotsa red meat too.

Actually I can't take durians cos I'm asthmatic, just had an attack last week which required nebulisation. Tried durians few mths back too then stopped cos I had difficulty in breathing. Hubby gave me a lecture

My appetite had been terrible too cos of the viral infection and feel like vomitting all the time. My gynae is still positive abt the condition of my baby tho she did mention that this little fella smaller than her elder sister.

I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed now, hopefully baby reaches 2.5kg by 36 weeks then I can breathe easy.

Btw, you gals take care of yourselves too yah cos the flu bug's goin round, my gynae even mentioned to me that she notices lotsa pp down wif viral infection which take a more tha usual time to go away. So...take care and avoid crowded places if you can.

my gynae also do not tell me wt, only tell me if it is within the range. so now i also dunno wt of baby. he did mention if there is enough amniotic fluid, small baby is actually to our advantage as easier to birth.

Is it true that if our water bag burst, we have to go down to hospital IMMEDIATELY?? Can we go back home and bathe first? I read that it's not advisable. Can second-time mummies give some advice.

I'm worried cos I stay quite far from my house to the hospital and the trip from office to home , then to hospital could take more than an hour. Skali I dilated too much and cant go for epidural....Arrrghhh....

paranoidmummy & gebberra, thk i wd on the aircon if bb sleeps wif me.. minimum fan speed & higher temp i guess. At least cooling bt not cold. 1st 2 weeks doubt i wd bathe so its a must to on the aircon.

poppy, then hb goto carry 2 bags loh?? Hehe.. i am bringing a bigger bag so everythg can go in, if in a hurry can grab & go.

So next Mon u wd go to the clinic first rite?

May - My water bag burst at home for my first child... Don't think you can really go back home to bath cause water keep leaking down ur legs so a bit messy. Its best to go hospital first... if u under private, can check with nurse if u can bath or not.. In hospital safer lah

i soak the herb in a pail of hot water and once the water cool down i use it to wash up.

Water bag burst - sorry althot i am a 2nd time mum but i dun this experience cos my gal was induced. I was also thinking to go back and bath 1st so i shldnt. I still place my hospital bag at home, may be i shld ask my hubby to put it in his car from tmr onward.

me these two days oso got the 'push' feeling that u mentioned leh.. i suspect bb's head is engaged liao.. feel the pressure on the left side of my pelvis bone when i walk.. can be quite painful sometimes.. just dun understand how come mine is one side.. i tot the place where bb engaged is at the centre on top of the birth canal there?? then hor these few days my discharge quite heavy and sticky leh.. it's transparent and sometimes a bit yellowish/brownish..

For me, as Im still working now, I intend to pack a 'mini' maternity bag with me everyday together with admission letter. The mini maternity bag comprises two maternity pads, one disposable undie and one front-button PJ. I guess that should be enuff in case I need to rush to hospital ASAP. As for the rest of the stuff, can ask hubby to go home and take after baby is delivered....Heee..I'm so KS.

that a good idea to pack a minimum just in case. I never thought of that cos i also working. Lucky, i work in Orchard, rush down to Mt A no porblem. I perfer to go bath and clear my bowel first b4 delivery if possible. My HB's sister says when she push, she push her baby and her PS out also.. so embarass... lol

Do u have heartburn problem?? I tot when bb's head engaged the heartburn will go off.. but mine seems getting more serious especially at night leh.. that's why I'm not sure whether the pressure @ my pelvis recently indicates tt bb oredi engaged.. think i will know the answer only when i visit my gynae tis sat liao..

the "push" was quite centre for me... can feel it when sitting or standing and even walking... i also walk with my legs slightly open cos scare my legs will squeeze bb's head. me also got heartburn and seems like it's getting worst loh... the acids in my throat is like flowing upwards towards my mouth. really cannot tahan that feeling...

my discharge has been quite heavy for the past few days too... sometimes yellowish sometimes whitish and watery. realised shortly after i changed my pantyliner, it got soiled again...

seems like our sypmtons are quite the same leh... i'm seeing my gynae this saturday so will check out all my queries with her... you? when is your next visit with gynae?

I don't have heartburn problem. My appetite getting better instead, i think is because the baby is now lower. If u have he heartburn problem, try not to sit or lie down after food. Walk about for awhile.
Me now try to walk as much as i can although hard nowaday. Cos heard from to experience mother this aid in smooth and shorter delivery.

Baby do not require to bath everyday actually although I do. Normally bath baby 1 day after I discharge. Just simple tub of water with a little baby bath and baby oil.

Cause I feel baby always being swaddled will be a bit hot and will feel uncomfortable... so I will bath him or at least wipe his body everyday.

But baby won't be smelly even if u dun bath him one..

Alternatively, you can take a small bowl of water, put a bit baby bath and baby oil and just wipe his body... Also can
