jul/ep - Borderlinx really faster hor. my ON ordered last week ship via borderlinx faster than my old ON ordered last last week via vpost.
and Borderlinx also cheaper... btw u can try to order via their conceige. dun hv fees and super duper good exchange rate... my polo via conceige only 1.38. my ON via my own credicard is 1.48!

R u the one with the Leapfrog Letter Factory? Is it good? How is the DVD like? (cartoon or real-life, is it fun or just point and read? Does Zav like it?)
J simply loves the Read-Along-Sing-Along set.
Thought of getting more Leapfrog DVDs for him. Looking at the "Leapfrog DVD 5 in a pack" which consists of
1. Letter Factory : teaches phonics (age 2 -5 years)
2. Talking Words Factory : teaches word building (age 3 -6 years)
3. Talking Words Factory II: The Code Word Caper : teaches advance phonics (age 3 - 6 years)
4. Math Circus : teaches beginning math (age 3 - 6 years)
5. Learn to Read at the Storybook Factory : teaches beginning reading (age 3 - 6 years)

our ON came to 10+kg for SGD66. It's much much cheaper than Vpost for sure. Tax is 7% but since I got the 10% off so nett off. But i think even with the tax, bdl is still cheaper. Items arrived at bdl on fri, I request for shipping on sat then today arrived liao! I was super surprised!
But now that vpost got 20% off. ,ight work out to be thereabouts. Just that vpost really SLOW.

sorry for being MIA this period...my mom just had an eye operation so i've taken the whole month of Sept off to look after Arin. The op was routine but just that the doc advised that my mom refrain from carrying heavy things (ie Arin) or bathing her. Internet access is inconvenient at my mom's place, so I hardly log on.
Now in China, with Arin for holiday, since need to get Arin away from my mom, may as well as take a holiday with her.
Before I forget, congrats to Lok!

it takes longer for the package to reach vpost coz different state. whereas ON warehouse and bdl in the same state so bdl gets it very fast usu by the next working day.
but vpost customer service is very slow lah...

some updates from me
I am on MC for 2 weeks cause got bleeding over weekend plus contraction, now only 32wk so gynae give me rest scare wait bb pre term....& my maid has arrive. SO far so good. hehe
Got Maid question to check:-
1) izit normal for new maid not to on fan or open window to sleep har?
2) n hor, izit they eat very little when they just came? my maid only take 2 meals & very little.

Actually i do some price comparison, if the package is small, its gd to use vpost cus its definitely cheaper. But if you ordering e.g. from ON, they usually use bigger box hence calculate by volumeric weight, then borderlinx cheaper. unless you take the POD 10kg and combine purchases for $68 then its very very cheap.
Vpost process my orders very fast leh... i send in my invoices and its already updated

one of the reasons is that they feel scare, so normally they dun dare to ask for things. Even to the extend on food n fan. But sometimes is communication, alot of maids will say yes mum, yes mum, but doesn't understand a single thing from u.
But at least make known to her, that she can on the fan when she sleeps. Tell her to take enough food, and there is always bread available should she feel hungry.

My helper also doesn't switch on the fan but will open the window. She's afraid of cold and will bring out her thick jacket whenever it rains. As for food, she loves rice but not very adventurous with other food. Always tell her to try or else she won't get much food to eat (e.g. she used to shun pork and beancurd but likes chicken. But hubby and I just happen to like the 2 food she hates). Now, she's slowly adjusting. So give her some time ok?
U better rest and not move around too much. 6-8 more weeks to go, so bear with it!
