On the contrary, Charisse has been napping for about 4 hours lately, from 1.30 to 5pm (she used to nap on avg of 2hrs only) and drinking more recently. Hope is normal ......

Lala...I also have craving for durian this preggie leh. Got a period everyday eat until i fall sick. Now scared liao.
What mooncake u buy? need queue 1.5hr?

Same here, I have more cravings for durian this pregnancy. My company has invited few hotels to sell mooncakes in the company premise at a discount. I bought the Raffles Hotel Champagne Truffle mooncake. Should be nice. Kids can also eat bah ....
 
RAFFLES HOTEL...I am seaching high n low for someone with discount leh....heeheehee, every year I buy their mooncake...., love the champage truffles. But hor got alachol..so dont give too much.

Actually the durian mooncake from Majesty resturant is really good, even better than the goodwood hotel one...

Lala - so qiao today my office also hv mooncake fair (9shops). Raffles hotel - no biz leh. the most hot one at my side is Goodwood park & 4seasons hahahha

Lala I have been Champagne Truffle mooncake Fans since 12yrs ago when I work at RH..wahahaha. The traditional one I like is pearlpowder double yolk.

the durian mooncake fm 4 seasons yummy leh. Even hubby also eyes big big waiting for me to cut more...can still order bo....
 
ya now i still thinking of that durian mooncake. I bot 1 box to try only so gave my mum 2 and i hv 2 now left only 1 in the fridge and my hubby eyes big big aiming it. Keep telling me one of the nicest durian mooncake he ever tasted...so...
 
PM... not Fairmount.that the sister hotel. Orginal is from Raffles Hotel, they have this favour for very very long liao.

Aiyo..I am dreaming of durian mooncake now.
 
Zita - My list din hv Raffles hotel too. went down to the mooncake fair then see their booth there. maybe tat's why no "biz"... nobody expected them to be there. :p

Actually hor... i hv insider stories to say tat Fairmount/raffles mooncake are the same... done together, by the same kitchen. but just diff packaging. my sales person in singtel who services these hotels told us one. dunno how true lah. :p

I am still recovering from overeating the past week. My company also had a mooncake fair and I over sampled...ha ha ha..

Durian mooncakes - best ones in terms quality and quantity (ie amount of durian paste in the mooncake) is a bakery called Kyo. But its presentation no good lah. So only buy for own consumption.

Goodwood one - very nice box and got extra cooler bag if you buy the 4 piece version. 2 pc no cooler bag. But taste wise...so so nia.

But hoh, I still prefer the traditional type and my favourite is the Tai Chong Kuo brand from chinatown.
 
Li Bai Mooncake from Sheraton tower is quite nice also..this yr i tried their mini golden custard with passion fruit truffle..so shiok..
waiting for the mooncake vendors to come to my ofc next week to grab the goodwood park ones

while toking abt durian mooncakes....i had real durian last nites.....YUMMY!!!! hahahahaa

mtdt...aiyo...me budget lah...dun wan to buy toomany...but i like loh...especially now u all said till 天上有地下无..piangz....anyone can bring durian mooncakes on sun...???? hahahhaah

I like the RH truffle mooncake too! The mini ones right??? Very yummy! But this year hor, no craving for mooncake at all.

We always buy BIG CHINA brand as well cos the elder generation insist on this brand. But hor, if u can help it, DON'T buy it from Taka Mooncake fare. They mark up the price substantially compared to the main outlet in Ubi (not sure abt the prices in Chinatown though)!!!!
 
I bullied a colleague into buying for me...he went to Chinatown to queue at lunch time..ha ha ha. I paid $24.80 for a box of 4 with single yolk (lotus paste). But I think the price is less if you don't want the box.
 
Da Zhong Guo - Used to buy from a friend, her father owns the business, so we can order from her and she will pass to us when we meet. I dont really like, coz I feel it's too sweet..
