How long does K spends in half day CC? Kay is there from 8am till 1215pm. They have lunch at 1130am so normally by the time I pick her up, she's already waiting by the gate for me. I didn't let Kay shower there, so I dun have to bring so much barang barang wif me everytime.

He's there from 9 to 1pm. His lunch is also ard 11.30am and doesn't shower there either. They only shower the full day kids.
But they will change him after lunch. His teachers requested that I put a small towel in his bag for them to clean him when he gets dirty from self feeding. He's the messiest one in his class! hahaha.
His bag is actually very light, nothing much in there, just clothes.

Poor J was bitten by one of his younger toddler classmate yesterday. Near his left eye, on the eyelid. Looks quite jialat. Hope he doesn't get disfigured. Today still a bit swollen. Heartpain. Apparently, J went to snatch the boy's book and the boy just bit upon provocation !!

Thks. J's actually not bothered by it but it's me that feels the pain. This is the 2nd time this same boy bit J and the 1st time left a scar on his arm. It happened too quickly yesterday so no time to pull J back. Apparently, this boy has not learnt to express himself well yet, so when he's provoked, his immediate reaction is to bite. Doesn't understand the meaning of punishment/time out as well. Anyway, the teachers were "lectured" by the owners and now they will have to watch the boy more closely.

4 hours is like N's half day cc liao..how much for 5 days? actually easier to start wif 5 days esp if they do cry in the beginning. 3 days might make it harder for her to adapt as crying will start again everytime there is a break.

K sounds like a ger who adapts really easily & enjoys sch so much. I've a feeling she'll enjoy herself in other schs as well. Maybe u can try to look ard some more since no hurry?

K1 is for 5 yrs old and K2 is for 6 yrs old.
I was told by someone that only K1 and K2 is mandatory. Playgroup is pre nursery is good to have??

Hmm...just discussed wif hb. We're thinking of sending her back to playgroup cos although Kay enjoys the current cc, but I really dun like the attitude of the supervisor lor..very defensive & the plc is very chaotic & messy due to lack of teachers. I asked her for the menu since yesterday then she complaint abt no time, cos she gotta stand in to teach Eng & also the printer giving her lotsa probs. Well, like it's my prob...which I dun accept her reasons lor.
Mayb next time when she's older, then switch to PAP nursery lor...sigh...

Hmm..do u think it'll be very disruptive for Kay? I'm trying to neg wif the supervisor to refund the 2wks trial so I can send Kay to playgroup ASAP. At least she had been there for 6mths liao, shld be easier to re-adapt back, right?
I dun wish Kay to adapt to CC after 2wks, then gotta readapt back to playgroup.

Age guideline is base on calendar year or month? For eg..all babies in July will officially turn 3 in july 2009?

have you sign your child for AppleTree in woodlands already? I spoke with the teacher at AppleTree in Kim Tian Place and found her to be very nice. Think they are changing their curriculum from 1.5 hours to 2 hours from next year onwards. Also, fees has also increased....$160/month (not inclusive of materials and uniforms, etc.) Some more, I was told that we also have to pay school fees during school holidays.

It's the norm for playgroups to accept sch fees during sch hols..cos they still gotta pay the teachers mah. Tat's y I feel half day CC is more reasonable compared to playgroup lor..cos longer hours + cater meals + no hols. Too bad my side dun have much choice.

Angela - We have met a couple of times before since our babies were new borns. Used to have every mth gathering.. btu sort of die down liao.
I stay in Sengkang now.
Yb - Personally I think its disruptive. However since Kay is quite adaptable, it shld not be that bad. I'm converting Emerson to half day nanny and half day CC as well...also headache because E is quite bad with adapting.
Think u'll hv difficulty with the refund.

Actually I tot playgroup is usu refer to those 2/3hrs programs by non cc places. Usu is 18mths to 3yrs.

Yest i fetch A myself fm the childcare then i think i really admire you...cos wearing heels, with laptop bag, A's school bag and her pillow bag i was half dead when i walk home to my mum's place. How did you manage to do that with E for the past few mths...my body still aching from yest walk

Mezzo - Yah loh. Indeed very tired. But no choice, he cant walk himself, he will run amok. But I don’t carry the laptop bag, just my bag Usually other than fridays, I only carry his sch bag. Friday then will bring all his barang back in another additional bag. Sometimes I even go to supermarket to buy FM/Diapers etc.
U walked home from CM? That's very far right? Why dont u take the free shuttle bus? I find it alot easier and safer than taking LRT.

I haven't sign up char for appletree yet cos I got the form at night with another personnel and not the actual person-in-charge so haven't got chance to talk to them yet... need to find a day (if I happen to take leave), go in the morn and find out more... yes the curriculum has change to 2 hours and is abt $160, of cos without unifrom and materials, that will be extra... near my mum's plc has better cc but I don't really want my dad to walk under the hot sun to fetch her...

Eeyore - Yup, the one that Hong recommended. She seems ideal, coz her hse just opp E's CC, cross traffic light then u'll reach. Dont want her to walk too far too, scare she cant cope with E..
