getting a nanny who is gd just like getting a gd maid...must gamble one...see lucky or not...if lucky...the nanny will be gd and responsible..

does he smilez alot after he went to infant care? i think hor..bb like adults..will be moody one loh...due to surrounding...ppl ard him ..environment etc...think even when they are young..we have to take note of their moods too...cannot play play ah...we must really take note and observe loh...dun worry lah..ur bb z will be back to normal..maybe he misses u too....

if our mother still can tell her what u dun like...they will just nag..but hor..one tihng is we cant say too much..cos they are the main caregiver after u go back to work..like u said...dun let u know what she does to bb...that wont hurt u.last time my mum took care of isaac...at times my hb dun like the way my mum did...but he diam diam...cos we also worried if we said too much..she dun take care then we cham ah...we just need to give and take...we still need their help loh...

Perhaps is reflux? You may want to monitor and see a PD if needed. Last time, my boy also has the same case of vomiting....I saw a PD and he recovered. Also check if your baby has stomach wind as well.

Hi MTDT,

My husband also suggests going to infant care centre, to let my boy exposed to different environment. Which infant care centre did your baby go? I like Learning Vision...but not cheap.

Ya, all MIL bout the same 1 lor i find. They always last time this last time that, they dun realise times are different n they still leaving in the previous century, feel like tellin them, "ya, last time police wear shorts oso now wear long pants".

I use wipes for baby, she oso 1 2 interfere, den say nt gd, must use tap water wash after every poo, den my HB got tell her off lar, "no wonder now i go shit, no water to wash i cannot shit, all ur fault lar!" I couldn't control but laugh lor, den MIL face black black.

den burp baby upwards, she say must burp downwards. i burp baby finish put baby down liao, she immediately carry baby n burp her downwards, u say she ridiculous anot?

Den everything oso 1 2 compare with last time, haiz, no choice lar. Jus hope next time i not like that oso. Haha
 
poppy - i also use cold water. he no reaction leh. in fact seems to enjoy it. :p

infantcare - the teachers there says he did smile. but i din see lah. but last time, every morning wake up, he will smile. now dun hv leh. just woke up only, cant be moody rite?

in the evening, i noe he usu will be very tired. so usu no smile one.

blessing - i went to "bright kids" infantcare at punggol. it's $900++, then after subsidy is $600. price wise it's ok. punggol's learning vision dun hv infantcare service leh. :p
 
Hi deci, i dun think my in-laws will be like tat leh.. My FIL working and my MIL at home during day time. She usually come for 2 hours and go home already. If dun ask her come she also did not come, maybe just awhile to pass me things for husband to eat. But it's good enough for me lar, she came just now and I can take my noon nap. Nap for 2 hours and felt so refresh!! But MIL quite good lar. She will ask me if I need to go out if need to then she come. So ok lar. Somemore she agree to take care of baby when I work. So I should count my blessings if not have to face nanny issues already.
 
Hi MTDT,

I went to the one in Gentle Road for Learning Vision cos is near my working place. Did you go for trial run before putting your baby in the centre? Sometimes, nanny is good but if she is very experienced....old habits die hard unless she keeps up with the trend.

Nanny - i think word of mouth is better. Some of them very experience, they wun listen to the parents at all.

Poppy, is the teat hole too big? Once i change the teat hole my son cant drink properly but he didnt puke after milk. May be change it back to a smaller hole and see. Why ur hubby so Bu zhi dong. Shld take over the bb so u can clean up.

MIL - i am quite lucky i have quite a gd MIL, at least she listen to me but stime she did certain things i wun agree too. If i can close one eye i will do that. If not i will tell hubby and ask him to tell MIL.
 
My mum and maid take care of both my gal and boy during wkdays. I only bring them back during weekends. My mum is a very good caregiver, not superstitious, hygienic and patient. If she wans to do something to the baby, she will seek my permission 1st. So I trust my children with her. My maid is oso good, very patient and clean. Whenever my baby makes a big fuss b4 drinking milk, she will try to coax him until he finishes the milk. In this way, I can really concentrate on my work.

tat's how I handle my mil too. Anything she does I not happy, I'll tell my hubby. Once she wanted to feed my boy some chinese medicine powder when his appetite decreased, I was worried and so told my hubby to stop her. After tat, she won't try as she knows we r not happy. But she will nag about it and i hav to pretend I dun hear her.

maybe he woke up liao..then knows he's going to infantcare..moody leh...u dunno what he's thinking..like us..sunday nite moody liao cos next day mon..must work...me hor last time working ah...everynite moody (except fri and sat) then morning open eyes..moody..cos must prepare for work...hehe...isaac last time started nursery...oso like me...nite and morning damn moody one..

so far my MIL only feed my girl pearl powder. We also take pearl powder when we are young so i am ok with that. Somehow my girl was trained to eat pao sheng and she like the taste very much. As pao sheng is mean to pu qi so i am ok. She took pao sheng slices (without cooking) like snacks and my MIL always got to go and get more after 2 months.

Long time no come in liao!!!Hehe...have been very busy taking care of bb alone in SG. Now i have followed my hb and went to KL with him. Feel so much better, at least not alone with bb anymore. Luckily the haze in KL is over.

Saw that there is a gathering on 2nd Oct. Sorry can't make it this time round again cos I will be in KL.

Just to check, how much does PD charge for those 5-in-1 or 6-in-1 jabs?

blessy - yup, i start one week before i start work. during tat one week, i will be there every now n then. i am ok with wat i see there.

lollypop - i goes to Raffles Hospital's PD for my jab. their package is $420 for 6-1 jabs. All inclusive, no more consultation charges etc.

nanny - dunno where to look for one also. tat's why decide to put infantcare.

How do u feed baby with pearl powder? My baby spit out everything when i spoon fed him with pearl powder last week. Headache...cos mum says that pearl powder helps to reduce production of phelgm. But he simply refuse to take it...any other way to make him swallow it?

Thanks for the info. Does the package includes those Hep B, chicken pox as well? The GP at my place there charging $528 for all the jabs and consultation up to 1 yr, including chicken pox jab. Is it expensive?
 
Juz pneumo is already 400++ already - got 3 jabs. When you say all jabs do you mean those compulsory ones stated by Singapore MOH? But chickpox not compulsory leh.. can you state what your package cover so I can check whether my GP got or not. I took the 6-in-1 package which cost $285.

did u mixed the pearl powder with water? feed a little at a time, they will able to swallow it.
 
I think wash bum with water is fine, cold or warm does not matter to me. but not tissue paper!

me and mil prob started during pregnancy. so now takes time to repair damage. tryimg now. hopes it gets better slowl.

will like to know how to clear the milk stain on my baby's tongue? I used a warm handkerchief to clear it but like still got alot of stain...any solutions?

my pd say no need to clean the milk stain, not harmful, and can't clean off, just maybe some people find it unsightly.
try not to put foreign things into baby's mouth as there is fear of introducing germs.

may be ur bb not used to it. After a few rd of feeding they shld be ok.

We cant help to have some wastage.

Try giving bb a few sips of water after each feed. My gf says this is to rinse the mouth n tongue. It does help.

try lollypop method. Give some water after each feed to wash the milk down. SO less milk residue on the tongue.

i bought the watson square square cottons... it's called facial cottons actually... 3 packets in a big pack for $4.95. Guardian also have it (3 packets in a big pack) and selling at $4.50.

any mummies going to the Isetan Private Sales tomoro? i'm going leh.. see if can grab any good stuffs or not.... hee hee...
