dsii, duno if sore nipples (choy choy choy) can still bf bb or not.... sure will be very painful one. if like that how to bf?
 
ladies...hehe..me wanna rest agin...very hot leh..cant stand the weather....me wanna go back to room to enjoy the aircon and my bed...hahaha

Geberra, I think still can BF, but shld be very painful loh. .. until u wont want to try.. Some mummies resort to pumping but end up bleeding...

I think the remedy is to apply nursing cream or with own breast milk ... and let it heal.. or use a brest shield

My friend continued BFing even though sore but she pumped at the same time so bb don't latch as much.

I spoke to Nelly at parentcraft cos my nipple peeling. then she recommended the avent nipple cream coz got aloe vera which promotes healing. but when MS comes in, breast milk is best to help healing.

I so stressed up now.. at times when i dont log in to chat... these are the few these going thru my mind:

1) Batheing the BB
2) What if I got no MS, and BB very impatient, keep crying for milk? Then how? Dont wish to use FM leh..
3) What if nipple sore and pump til bleed?
4) What if BB got jaundice and need to be hospitalised then how? Must go visit him everyday.. very xin tong leh...

I kena post natal depression on my elder girl...

dont think so much lah... just take what it comes loh... else will have postnatal blues ar... (touchwood) worst right.

i heard when you BF, try not to be kan chiong even if bb cries... cos that will reduce your MS... again duno how true loh... think for 1st time mummies (like me) will be very blur and kan chiong... but we sure can make it one loh....
fruitee is a good example...
 
any mummy here have scoliosis? any problems with epi?

i have a mild case and at the lower spine where epi suppose to go some more, dunno whether will be able to get epi or not....showed xray to gyn then she say must show to anaesthetist for him to judge on the day of delivery....*scared*

I had epidural when during labour for my elder girl...

SO far okie... no side effect...
 
Jul04, I have got scoliosis, pls do let anaesthetist know cause my epi for my first boy did not work.. they dun believe me.. then 2nd child I told the lady that I got scoliosis, she took a longer time to search for the right place to poke and it worked..!
 
Geb, when BF, cannot gan chiong, will reduce milk supply and also babies are very sensitive, if u are upset, they can feel it and tend to be very "problematic" also.. for eg: they may keep crying feeling ur anxiety..
 
yah.. i try not to think also.. will try my best when breastfeed..

one thing i very frustrated is that.. i told my friends not to come visit me after i delivered.. only after i'm ready and well.. cos i wanna spend the first few weeks adjusting.. they dun understand one leh... makes me very frustrated..and i'm the super easily pek check type.. i also know they wanna see bb.. but i not ready for guest, i think i'll need to rest cos sure tired one and they dun even respect my decision lor.. very irritating..

just want to be mentally prepared for it. coz gyn said if curve is very bad may not be able to do epidural....keep my fingers crossed.
 
MY, maybe can ask them to let you know one day in advance what time they coming then you can be mentally prepared. and fix a time after you have fed your baby so there's minimal fussing. hope this helps.

I used to have to do physiotheraphy at Alexandra hospital but in the end never go bcos of the cost. I still manage to get epi... dun stress urself too much k?

U skinny type or bigger sized?

Sometimes mayb frens kan cheong for u too...

Like my frens, they keep telling me give birth liao must ask my hubby to sms them, i told them ok...

But onli intend to do so when near baby full month or at least 2 weeks lata...

So I can rest...

Um, for the 1st week hor... really very tired 1... Den u all got get like float (like children swimming float) to sit on anot? especially the 1st week... bcoz sit on chair or sofa, below surely pain 1... if not rest on bed...

Then now b4 delivery, must start massage our breasts, if not when 1st or 2nd day engore, i tell u, its really painful lor...
 
Jul04, If u on the average size shouldn't be a prob... Cause anaesthetist will ask u to curl like a ball or sit on bed and bend forward so that ur spine is more visible...

For me, I very fat she also no prob finding the soft part.. so shouldn't be a problem for u...

My scoliosis is from young since pri school one...
 
michelle, i get wat u mean, yah.. gan jiong i can understand., and i think they care that's why they gan jiong.. but i think i need my space before i can include them in.. i think they shld learn to respect and understand from my side...

must get the float ah.. i nv leh.. is it sure very painful one?
