toto,

thanx .. saw your email this morning before I rushed out for work. we are trying to figure out how we can wake up so early and go to 2 location to put our kids since the location is not together.

re: LW holiday programme

how come you are interested in LW hols programme? thought u all will be more interested in JG. I am not so sure abt LW actually... my first encounter with LW will be this coming 4th week of the month when S starts his nursery... will feedback on my take on the preschool after he starts
happy.gif

it's not one page one animal kind... so not consider really big.

but zav was able to correct point to me all the animals in the same page (elephant, lion, gif, rhino, etc). so i guess shd be ok for our age kids.

Wah... shopping again... Now is shopping at Popular. hahaha...

toto,
Is J continuing JG at 11am at Forum? Think I better put A in JG next term. He's bored at home... And I got no energy to keep playing with him
sad.gif
He wants flashcards and flashcards now and I am so drained... :p Really feel sorry for him sometimes. Dunno can get the teachers there to help with all the hand washing and cleaning up for A or not...
Think the hormones playing tricks with me today.. I am so tired and down...

Lyn - why not considre those half day playgroup for A? those dun even need parents to accompany... then u can hv ur rest, A get some activities as well
happy.gif

oh, since he likes flashcards - maybe u can looking int BJG's half day playgroup on weekdays at bukit batoh (if location is not too far for u).

Hi Sunflower,

Which Popular can get the hand puppets book huh, I am interested on that.

Any mummies bring their kids to Zoo Phonics for trial class before huh, any feedback whether is good or not ?

mtdt,

bjg got half day playgroup ah?? daily? what do they do? hey maybe I can consider putting J there also...
happy.gif

cutiezayn,

I brought S to zoo phonics for trial before. Hmm the session is mainly as usual like all playgroups... sing song, play some instruments/toy, recite the zoo phonic alphabet song and do art & craft. How good they are... well it really depends on which teacher you get. I heard from my fren that bukit timah got some good teachers...
happy.gif

poohy - last term, i saw they put up the new playgroup timetable on the board.

but i dun hv much info as it's way out for me. maybe best to call and ask abt it
happy.gif

cutiezayn,

saw it at JE Mrt popular, think most of the popular should stock as its one of their popular items

MTDT,

wow you so good, can find the book online
happy.gif

poohy,
wow another place of consideration for you
happy.gif

lyn,

the teachers will help especially if you are preggie. do rest more. heard from older gen, that the older kids will be esp sticky cos they can sense that you are preggie..

sunflower - not exact match as i rem my book the centre animal is not a elephant... think shd be a giff. :p

poohy - hahaha, am i adding on to ur already full list of preschs. :p

lyn,

do rest more... i think the option of putting A in a half day playgroup will be great also... since JG's half day playgroup in chiltern house starts from 2 years old, you can consider Lorna Whiston which is really the equivalent and equally established. They have half day playgroup for 18months onward that do not need company. I am likely putting J there actually... but they only have half day afternoon for playgroup next year cos morning too popular liao so they open more nursery classes.

If you feel that the location is out for u, maybe u can consider the lorna whiston in town (not sure whether its forum or united square) but I heard the person in charge said that they are opening up another preschool in town next year... but that one is 3 hourly kind.

its really tiring to take care of an active toddler and preggie.... especially now they are heavier and much more demanding of our attention. Get help if u really need ... must think of the 2 younger ones.

When I was expecting J, also was quite tired working and taking care of S. In the first trimester, I was so giddy... so bo bian also gotta get my hb's help to make S's nite feeds for him. But I will still sit on the bed, holding him and feed him his milk though. Just do what u can but dun overstretch.

re: LW holiday programme

poohy, given J will be in playnest this term and playclub next term, i prefer for his hol programme to be something diff. so LW comes off top on my list.

poohy - nursery and suntec city convention is not that far. also, you can attend service at suntec city convention, if you prefer, it's the same as 4th or 6th floor overflow, or Eng Wah cinema overflow. then you can chop seats at convention, drop S at convention, someone drop J at nursery.... timeline is not a concern when dropping kids. so it's very flexible. if you interested, we can guide you a bit this Sun? alternatively, what i can do is to chop seats for you at 4th floor, so you can take your time to drop the kids.
happy.gif
we can do that for you every week if you like.
happy.gif

lyn, i am attending 11 am JG tues and thurs. there is also one preggy mum in our class, and teachers are always v willing to help.
happy.gif
however, maybe LW 3 hr half way playgroup will be a better option for A, but only after he turns 18 mths... or you can explore this option?

lyn, agree with poohy. for the sake of your twins, you should consider dropping A off at half day playgroup. give you a break as well in between - you need to rest and spend some time by yourself. if town is too far, you can also drop A at neighbourhood playgroup right? please don't feel you are shortchanging him. a playgroup is better than no playgroup and being bored at home.
happy.gif
as long as you are doing your best for him, don't blame yourself.
happy.gif
hee hee.. now you need to think holistically - cos you have 3 bbs le...

duffybuff, the hess playgroup seemed interesting, but only 1.5 hours in town...JG billingual is 2 hrs. so maybe you might like to trial both.

Lyn,
there's Learning Vision at Grassroot Club... shd be quite convenient for u else you can consider MMI at upper thomson (opp the former Yaohan

hi toto,
Hey u signed up yr child for JG right? So how's JG? u hv the website.. or more info on the programme?

hi mspiggy,
thought MMI is for children 3yrs & above? u mean they hv programmes for under 2?

lyn

I will check with my hb and confirm with you... btw, can we stay with our kids in the nursery since its the first time they are there? I am not as worried abt J but I am v worried S will definitely not like being placed there without us...

I saw a phamplet yesterday. Think some of the books on sale are only available at Orchard branch...those DK ones maybe? I noticed coz some of the books are quite attractive so I asked the slaes girl. but she said only avai at Orchard branch.

I think will bring Zayn for trial class this sat in Zoo Phonics Bt. Timah and see how is it?
They accept 18mths children only so Zach still cannot attend any class.

Who bringing their 15th mths kid to any trial class so that I can join..can only make it on weekend

toto,

Is a good articles. I also hv this problem, my gal will not want to attend classes herself. She only can play with her CC friends and do not like to play with others.problem, this sat send her to trial class sure cry..

have found out abt the bjg playgrp..
seems like it's normal playgroup just that they would have flashcrards with usual stuff like playtime n art n craft.. the class is 8.30am to 12.30pm from mon-fri

the girl that i spoke to is not very helpful.. the current fees now is $1080 for a term (10 wks) and next yr will have a revision in fees..

i m still very ma dun whether i shd send ethan for playgrp. sigh..

Wow, only 1 day didn't read thread and moving so fast!!

All the talks about popular books make me feel like chionging to Tampines or Marine parade popular too! But aiya, gotta do my school lesson plan, school starting next week! Mayb I do fast fast, then chiong there!

Sunflower,
So how do you find Daniel, the teacher from JWT? Btw, is he Chinese?

MTDT,
yup, will post my feedback after the trial. Unfortunately, I can't get a trial slot at JG playnest, so can't compare.

Wen,
Gabby is really linguistically advanced! Shes only 1 month older than our bb, but can carry out conversation with understanding!

En en likes to put things in her mouth in front of me, she doesn't really do it in front of others. Think she likes to see my reaction. Sometimes, she will purposely bring something in front of me and slow motion put in her mouth, waiting for me to say EEK and stop her.. faint.

Lyn,
Glad your bbies are doing well, take care!

toto,
my PD told me Enfagrow is more heaty, maybe that's why poohy's S gets constipation. My girl is talking gain IQ now.

rodeo & mspiggy,
nice meeting the two of you too! Mspiggy, too bad didn't have much time to talk. I'm not slim, rodeo is the slim mummy

me also envy envy.
