hope you're find a good replacment soon. your PD said nothing abt giving both MMR and chic pox together? coz when i wanted to do that, PD said better not coz MMR is "live" vaccine hence most likely to cause fever and chicpox jab might also cause fever hence better to do it separately like 1 mth apart.</font>

Oh, this sat supposed to be appt for MMR jab, but Bray had a fever 2 days ago thus has to postpone the appt. Hmm, thought jab has to be taken 1 mth apart from one another???

Celeste: Not sure about the 2k loan that you've paid upfront. Every agent got different rules loh. LOgically, they should porate and refund you the 'unused' loan balance. Apart from that, your cost should be the agency fee, test appln fees (if your maid 1st time in SG), insurance for medical & bond (if you bot, think $100) + the FWL of this maid till the day she departs Spore or till the next employer takes over her FWL. I kena when my 1st maid told me she miss home and don't want to work within 24hrs I picked her up from the agent!

Didnt know MMR and Chickpox so strong..no wonder pd postponed G's jab. She was on & off with flu. She is turning 16 mth next Tuesday and she hasn't have both yet. Anyone knows when they must have them? I kindof dreading it...
 
Wen, my colleague gave her girl MMR on her 17th mth, according to her PD, so long as after 15 mths and before 2 yr old, can give the MMR.

maybe you like to reconsider scheduling both jabs at the same time. I brought darrell for his MMR jab last sat...he was howling like very cham when the PD administer the jab and even attempt to break free. According to the PD, the MMR jab is rather painful as the chemicals kinda "bite" onto the flesh. He did commented abt 5% of the kids will genna fever and usually develops after 3 days from the jab..anyway..darrell was super cranky for the past few days after the jab..not too sure if it has anything to do with it anot la..

btw, is it true that nowadays chix pox jab can last a lifetime? ie no need any booster jab? some GP was advising us to give chix pox jab instead of prevnar

not sure if last a long time. according to my PD, if take the jab, even if kenna CP, the outbreak not as much. also mentioned that its recommended to take cos don't know where the virus reside.

I think Popular now is having some sort of children book fair..i rem seeing my receipt reflecting 3books or more then a discounted rates..

have u managed to get the sso babies prom tix? I saw this morning the saturday morning session only left single seats. Central seats of all the session seems to be out liao especially if more than 1 tix. Looks like tix are fast selling out.... we decided to get the friends of sso card to do the priority booking cos we think S will definitely love to go for the concert. My hb still trying to contact sso to see if can book first and how they verify the card membership.
 
CELESTE!!! dun think ur pd will give 2 jabs @ a go, both are LIVE virus and usually a mth apart. they wont even give either one with pneumonococcal.

Flu Jab - Zav took as he is prone to Bronchilities. thus PD advise him to take.

after tat will be his last jab for prevenar
then chicken pox (still deciding to give or not)
then MMR
then hep A (As I am going to shenzhen, so think better take)

let me confirm the whole verification process first ... dun wanna later buy tix for u liao then end up the card not valid or need to verify at the point of entry into the concert hall.

I know of some of the babies in S's age group for my apr/may thread that have their MMR and chix pox jab taken on the same instance same day. I think its possible and done in singapore. But I definitely wont do that.... will definitely split it out for J. For S, he also took them apart. Anyway J already took her chicken pox jab 2 months back when there is no other jabs to take hehee

hep A is not compulsory... but since I going to China, think i better jab him since the hygenic standard not as good as singapore.
 
Steffi, dun know leh, my colleague blur blur missed out on the MMR at 15 mths, so by the time she brought her girl for the jab is already 17 mths. There is a booster jab at 18 mth if I am not wrong.

According to my colleague, chix pox jab is not 100% immunity, some will still get chix pox but not full blown one. So I will not be giving as the jab will not stop chix pox totally, it will only suppress.

MTDT, wah you going to Shenzhen? My mum also going from 21-24 Sep. My cousin has an apartment there.
 
Soh1dful, at the JE popular, all the books above are displayed on the same table so cannot miss. Maybe your Yishun branch did not put them together, I think I will grab some more books today after work cos I actually have a few more to buy, too heavy to carry yesterday.

the yishun branch has very little stocks of the books mentioned by you..dono issit genna grab by alot of people liao or they simply dont carry too many stock..

There is this box on display and within the box are small mini board books which has numbers 1-9, shapes and colours..its selling abt 20.90 i think...very tempted to get it...still thinking..
Yah.. i think i will go other Popular branches and get some more..yest very tempted to get the carebare book but i didnt know got discount..hence didnt get it..if i know..already grab liao...=P Yest my purpose of going popular is to get the True SG Ghost Stories Vol 16..WAHAHAHAHA

Thinking of taking Bren bac to SG for 3-4days days BUT so far last 2 trips, he didnt eat much initially both in sg and when he got bac... hmmm... how?

hehehe..eh i like horror stories/movies...i grow up watching hk vampire/horrors movies...its only when i am pregnant last time i am forbidden to watch any horror movies and at that time there are soooo many...so xing ku..
But sometimes after watching the movies will keep thinking lor..the most scary ones i rem watching is the Ring lor and also the Eye (the lift part)..still rem after the movie..take lift will stand at 1 corner and look around..WAAHAHAHA

It must hv been hard for you. Go n complain to the agency, I thot there is a medical checkout for new maid rite. Hearing shld be one of the test too. Demand them to fully refund you or threaten them to lodge a complain to the relevant authority if u want. :p

just spoke with the lady. at present, they do not have hol programme. their hol programme structure runs like this:

(1) 5 weekends, once per week
(2) 3 weeks, twice per week (e.g., tues and sat)

i prefer option 2 - and the theme will be like their adventure theme - BTW - i am referring to 18 months and above hol programme.

if we can form 6 babies, they can run a class for us. cost is $25.50 per lesson, with $30 reg fee. Note that the structure is like their normal KM, but with the selected theme. Any preferences?

Mich, Jerica also no problem with her CNY trip to Malaysia and her Bkk trip in May. I fed her milk and porridge for the Malaysia trip, for the Bkk trip its milk and pigeon baby travel food.
 
mspiggy....i find the ring scary leh, maybe becos i watched the midnight show...

soh...after watching the ring, i have to cover my bedroom tv will a towel for a few weeks...haha...then when i go toilet at night also need my hb to follow me and wait outside the toilet, last time we still dating, so he has to sleep over at my place...haha

As for the eye, after watching i will get paranoid whenever i take the lift and will always stand against the wall of the lift so that nothing can stand behind me...haha

Real headache...

think i have to go MOM study some rules... Guess what..agent wanted to terminate my old maid permit n still put the new deaf maid under my name till find an employer..

I refused and threatened to sue her if she dare to cancel my old maid permit... she claims she got no choice.. if not the new maid cant saty in sg after 11 sep... thats not my business right?

Called MOM and asked did they do a hearing n eye sight test before we get them in... they say YES!! i told them BULLSHIT... i checked with my grands maid / my cousins maid / my aunts maid / my old maid / everymaid.... They say NO!

Told MOM that... and they says "Oh.. its in the standards.. so if the particular doctor dun do it and still sign off the papers as passed! we wont know!" @#$%#^$&#%&^$%#$@?????

Can u all please go home ask maid did they do hearing test for them...

do u know your agent well.. i may desperately need a trf maid... thats why i need someone who knows their agent well.. so that they can be truthful to me why the maid was being transfered out by the previous employer.. Not all trf maid got problems though.. sometimes problems lies with the employer too..
