sunflower,
X so cute! I realised Wes doesnt like flavoured drinks too. My mum made barley (unsweeten) and he showed that "vomitting act", then she added some winter melon sticks to sweeten and he also do the same. we tried others also the same. very picky boy!
haha... W also does the 'vomitting act'?
my boy likes unsweeten barley and soya drink.
bought cheese yesterday too, try giving him, he refused to take. maybe its after the yoghurt trial, so he thinks mummy finding him yucky food
I bought Arla kids cheese - anyone tried it b4? dunno if its my tastebud - thot its a little saltish but MIL & hb say its not...
spicegal, sunflower:
Hvnt bring C for her MMR yet, gg to bring her this mth, me too late liao.
spicegal:
U practising pilates ah. me used to practise yoga last time, great time for relaxtion.
sunflower:
So far, hows X after his MMR jab?
hee i just bot cheese last sat fr carrefour, gg to start C on cheese today. ....oops..hopefully i m not too late.
Yogurt
My G loves it! She will ask for it. She referred to it as "cold, cold" at first. Now, she says "yogurt" followed by "yummy" and doing the mouth movement with tongue sticking out a bit to show yummy...keke..
Too bad, my G loves flavoured food....that was why she rejected solid food out right when she was below 1 yo. After that, my dad tried to add a bit of salt in her food and she is eating her meals more properly now.... I didn't do much to object it coz my parents found it hard to care of her when she refused to eat...so I gave in.. And now, she is eating the same food we are eating, which we try to cook with reduced salt and oil...but with my dad's cooking...a bit difficult lor...
Sunflower, I gave Jerica the laughing cow cream cheese. Its not that saltish.
MTDT, yeah..next gathering at Queen's house!!
Kite, I also took yoga before, but find some moves quite tough to master..haha...just started pilates last Fri, then on Sat can feel my abs area aching.
MMR: Have not brought ER yet. Was trying to make appt at polyclinic yesterday but no one pick up the appt tel hotline for the whole day! 8( Have to try again today.
Re: Cheese & Yoghurt
He is taking yoplait yoghurt (alt day) and laughing cow cheese cubes (max 2 per day). He'll give the frowning cum eeks look when he tastes them. In the beginning, he only takes the banana flavour cups. Now, he's ok with all the berry and fruits combi. He still gives that expression when he eats them now but when u ask him if he wants cheese/yoghurt, he'll nod his head.
Steffi, I think the barley water and pao shen may not work for all toddlers. Its only for prevention. I gave Jerica pao shen and barley water alternate days throughtout the whole week before her MMR jab, she still develop fever.
there's so many flavours for laughing cow cheese cubes. not sure which one is suitable hence didnt get any. gave wes abit of the normal cheese slice that i eat.. he also show the "vomitting act". luckily he's ok with yoghurt.
wes loves yoghurt, whenever i asked if he wants it. he'll go to the "spot" (near dining table) and sit down on the floor.. waiting patiently for me to feed him.
sunflower: yup, that's the laughing cow brand. The cube type is rectangle shape, 24 cubes per pack. Packaging colour got blue, red and green. Blue is original, red and green are flavoured. I only buy the original blue pack.
sunflower: ya, got many brands. This laughing cow brand, someone from our thread recommend few month back. Btw, if you getting, buy from NTUC instead of Shop N Save cos got price diff of 80c
Sunflower, ya..like what Rodeo mention, the laughing cow cheese came in a few packaging. The mini cubes came in blue, red and green packaging. There is also a round packaging one. I always buy the mini cubes in blue packaging.
Steffi, that's why i say only works for individual babies lor. Kite, can give as prevention.
Fever after MMR :
I heard fever may develop within 10 days after the MMR jab.
Kite, I went to polyclinic cos the MMR jab is free...but hor after that the nurse says have to queue and see doctor since its my 1st visit. In the end, waited for 30 mins, still not my turn, I went back to the nurse and tell her I dun wan to see the doctor.
Kinda regret going to the polyclinic for the jab, they made me see doctor just to charge me $4.50 for the consultation.
spicegal:
ya polyclinic always long waiting queue n time, so switched to PD. but thinking of gg there since is FOC. u went on wkdays or wkends? me wil go on wkdays if gg there. but i need a MC to produce for my childcare leave, not sure polyclinic does provide.
Kite, I went on a Sat. Very crowded. But din have to wait long to take the jab. Its only long Q to see doctor..so frustrating!
Can't help you on the MC part.
KOng, I also eyeing LV neverfull. Asked my sister's friend to check out frankfurt as he was there last week, no more stock except for the small size one...haiz...
the neverfull bag so many pple carryin now. i got it sometime ago. my god.. alot of mummies carryin it cos can dump alot of stuff in but the handle so thin, cannot put so heavy stuff inside.
my japan gf juz got the MM one 3 wks back at hilton lei. that day i went LV, still got pple buy too. it depends cos alot of pple reserved and last min let go.
kite
MMR is administered by nurse at polyclinic and she can only issue time off, not mc...if you really need mc, got to take queue no to see doc just for it :C
spicegal: I asked the nurse if have to wait long since got appt, she said to set aside 2 hours!!! Hmmm, so it's becos need to q for consultation? The PD i go, also have to wait at least 1 hr even if make appt. So decided to go for FOC MMR at polyclinic.
Has anyone started your tots on "adult" food? My R has been rejecting his porridge 2 weeks ago but when i feed him my kind of food, he seems to like it so we have stopped cooking "baby" food for him.
