Ya, we play with him to make him tired but he still wake up to feed. Try to give water first and he will cry till cough like we torture him, so end up give him milk and he knock out immediately after finishing his milk.

Maids
Scary. I want to get a maid too but we are shifting so the delay, was thinking of getting later but now baby easier than when he was younger, so gave up the idea already. More privacy too.

For those interested, apparently a lot of the popular items sold out already.. only left barley and oatmeal cereals and vanilla flavor teething biscuits. is your boy ok now..hope that that he recover quickly...my boy was sick since last friday..appetite is really bad..due to his flu...did not even take 400ml of milk per day..every feed time was damm stree to me. But now he is in the recovering stage and he appetite is slowly back again...dun worry too much

Me with maid too. I feel their behaviour after the 6-7 mths usually start to rebel a bit... show black face lah, sigh dunno for what lah.. My maid gets to sleep at 9.30pm and wakes up at 6.30am. No need to look after bb much as mom helps on weekdays and I look after bb myself on weekends. She is generally ok except that her personality is the playful and chatty sort. Go downstairs to buy bread also can make friends type.

I think I better stop weighing bb every weekend. Stressed out man, he has lost another 100g this week. That's 300g in 2 weeks. Dunno what to do... I think he is burning off more calories now but still drinking only 500+ml milk each day.
Actually is solids or milk suppose to help better with weight gain har?

My boy hates his current brand's stage 2. Anyone drinking Enfapro? Is it the stage 2 of Enfalac? Is there a contact for sample request? Been spending too much $$, need to start asking for samples rather than buy in case he hates it too.

Question: is it really necessary to change to stage 2? I notice the only diff seems to be increase in minerals like calcium, phosporus etc. But DHA and ARA has decreased, at least in the formulation of my brand.

Cindy, how heavy is ur boy now? My gal is drinking 500ml also + one time of cereal. I think at this time their weight gain is slower lar. Cos they start to burn off energy as they flip more and learning new things. Jamie is 7.8kg and 69cm long. Think she is not growing much too.

PD told me why stage 2 vitamins and mineral had decrease is becos baby start to eat semi-solid and vitamins and mineral will come from the food that they eat.

Bronchitis is inflammation of the bronchi. According to his PD, can hear the wheezing sound from his chest. The condition is acute, that's why his cough suddenly turn very bad within 1-2 days and he has a slight fever. If your bb's cough has a lot of phlegm, better check with PD early instead of self medicate. It could develop into pneumonia or asthma if not treated well.

Nebulizer is inhaler. He struggles and cries when I tried to use it on him. So heart pain.

RE: Baby Weight Gain

My gal weight gain also stalled when she was about 6mth (didn't gain wt any for one mth). I got a bit worried and brought her to see another PD. The PD gave me polycose (a type of glucose) and vitamin to add into her diet. She managed to gain 230g the subsequent month. PD said bb's appetite might be affected by teething. I agree that bb wt gain will slow down when they started to be more active but I think they must stay within the same growth band (i.e. if their wt has been within the 75 percentile range, they should stay within the same band ideally) but not to the extend of not gaining or even losing weight. So maybe u may want to check with your PD on adding other form of supplements if need be. Sorry if I scare u cos I'm a super KS mommy.

Hi Mommy

Just these 2 recipies from PD and thot of sharing with you

Add dioscorea (Huai-shan) to pork bones and boil for 1.5hr. This is used as a stock for the pordidge and can freeze for one mth.

Next add grain, stock, wolfberry (gou-qi) and red dates and put inside slow cooker. When porridge is almost cook, add in fish (can use sheng yu, threadfish or fresh sliver fish), pork, veg and cook over fire. Then blend it before feeding. My mom said she will not blend the red dates.

Looks like a lot of work hor

Here's another easier option

put egg (whole uncooked), potatoe and carrot into a pot to boil until cook. Take the fully cooked egg york (don't give egg white cos bb can't eat egg white yet), potatoe (peeled) and carrot and mesh them. add in one to 3 tsp of unsalted butter and water (I guess can use milk also, water like very bland leh) to make it more liquid.

Oh forgot to add, a number of mummies do give your bb ikan bilis and dried scalloop but PD said dun give ikan bilis (too salty) give sliver fish instead, also give scalloop only after bb is 1 year old (not sure cos is shellfish and may cos allergy).

Besides having to cope with Caeden's illness, today I broke the crockpot while making porridge for him and making a mess of the kitchen and spilled my precious BM.

I think now if I walk on the street, I'll probably trip and fall.

Lately really suay. Internet also down last 2 days. Sianzzzz.

Thanks for the advise. I'll monitor for another 2 weeks or so, if still no weight gain I'll ask PD about polycose. She only gave me a sample bottle of Pharmaton Kiddi. No effect on Lucas appetite at all. He also doesn't seem to be teething. Lucas is 8.5kg now, was 8.8kg 2 weeks ago. He reached 8kg since 4 mths old. So techincally the growth has already slowed down. Not expecting him to gain much, but weight loss worries me lor.

Just like the other day.. my mum was talking to her on cooking with osyter sauce.. my mum told her she usually use lee kum kee oyster sauce.. and straight away MIL tell my mom off saying Lee Kum Kee is very "smelly" she will never use.. my mom was stunt...
Guess what?? 1 week later.. I saw 2 bottles of lee kum kee oyster sauce in my fridge...
I really buay tahan...
