Thanks, mummies, for your compliments! I think it's his hair lah. Makes him looks more mature. Kirsten is reacting quite well to didi. She likes to put on a blanket for him. However, I heard from her fav teacher that K became more clingy to her in school these 2 days. Maybe cos of didi's arrival. But I'm still very happy with Kirsten because she started on school bus last week and is all on her own to school and back and she didn't cry at all. Can still wave bye bye to me after getting on the bus.

SSF, Mamachan, yah he does look different from Kirsten. Dunno who he looks like though. He definitely has daddy's nose.

Tabbie, Aileen, I kept asking for my handphone to look at K's photos during the delivery. Feel so bad to leave her at home but luckily she had a fun time with my mum that delivery night.

Oh, btw, remember some time back I was asking about Mt A? This time I decided to go there and I like it very much. Very peaceful, warm and homely. And it's nice to have the sisters go around the wards to offer prayers and communion.
 
Sandra, wow, your baby is a good weight. Rest well. Can understand how you feel about letting the maid take full care of Sarah but soon it will be over!

Tracy, I guess your appetite must be affected by the pains you are having, that's why the weight loss? Try to eat smaller but frequent meals?

Seth looks so handsome! Tink he looks like daddy leh. So sweet of K to help put on didi's blankie. Me too! I missed E so much and when he 1st came to the hospital to visit me &amp; didi, I really wanted to carry &amp; hug him. But I cant cos of the csect wound. After seeing didi &amp; E together, I suddenly realised how big E has grown. Cannot call him bb Ethan anymore.

My CL is 65 and I find her still very strong &amp; pro-bf. Maybe u check with this CL of urs, see if she is constantly taking up confinement assignments. When did she help ur fren do her confinement? If its recently, then shldnt be a problem.

ya, i guess the pain is making me lose sleep thus losing weight. and now body is heaty, cannot eat all the junk food.

but good thing is i'm on a slow slow road to recovery liao. thank goodness for my gynae's long MC so that i get more rest in the day and feel better. Now only rely on panadol in the morning and night. daytime pain has lessen. last night managed to sleep thru 7hrs uninterrupted!

What's the main reason for getting a maid? If it's housework why don't you try out part-time helper for the time being since Aden is settling well in cc. If not he'll need to adapt to the maid and new PG again.

My CL was around 60+ too and anti-BF. Also I find older CL are typically more stubborn and wanna do things in their in their own ways. For instance, Mel had very bad diaper rash and I've asked her to use diaper rash cream but she insisted on using powder, end up the rash got worst and she still insisted she's rite. End up we need to "supervise" her each time she change dipaer. Also she's super possessive of Mel, don't allow my mom and relatives and even my hb to carry...end up my hb was very unhappy with her and can't wait for her to go back. I think most importantly is to get feedback from pp who recommended you the CL and whether they have high or low std.

hi mummies...i am in Jarkata now! traffic was insane!!! we spent 1 hr queueing for cab and the journey to novotel hotel was an amazing 3hrs. never in my life....my flight journey is shorter than my cab ride. hahaa....the cab actually took a longer route due to the flood. amazingly it havent been raining since yesterday since we touched down. keeping our fingers crossed.

the hotel here was good and the service is amzazing cheap!

the manicure and pedicure is like less than $20 in total. spa for 2 hrs that include massage, bath, scrub is a $65. hair colouring is less than $20. was joking with hb to try colouring his hair. if he don;t like, tmr highlight back to black. hehe...

wenyl - i left Caleb with my MIL. Jadon and maid at my mum hse. so that we can relax on this trip. when we were on teh flight, there was a baby crying. we missed those two boys..but no choice la. if we bring them along, we be dead beat. haha...so have to be cruel tis time round :p

I can't remember either. heheh. It seems so long ago. Only remembered i started solids at 5mths. Maybe u can check the archives? I think i kind of gradually increased the amt, then from 1 meal to 2 meals then to 3 meals. When he started in infant care at 7mths, they were feeding him 3 meals a day.

Haha now it's my turn.. when did start on 2 meals a day? #2 started on 1 meal now for about 3 weeks, I'm wodnering when to increase to 2 meals a day.
Btw.. before 1 yr, solid is still supplementary and Milk should be the main meal still? so after solid still need to top up with milk rite?

We had a simple lunch "celebration" with my IL family - and it is such a disappointing "celebration". I wish I had done it with my own family or even on our own.

Thanks for replying... i went thro the archives.. so nostalgic... our babies have really grown alot man!

Tabby is so big now.. and can do so many things compared to last time.

This time round i started didi on solids only at 6 months cos he really TBF this time compared to tabby. I gave him abt 1month plus cereal solids for 1 meal usu breakfast, then 7 months plus started him on 2 meals. So far he's tried apple, pear, carrot, potato, sweet potato, parsnip, avocado and squash. Every 3 days, i'll change something new.

I just discovered that he LOVES this japanese milk biscuit, the type that CL used to BP for us... he will go ballistic mad when he sees it and try and grab for it and when he finish eating and he dunno how to stuff the last bit in his mouth cos his hand still holding, he will scream and cry and become upset.. so funny.. its the only thing he really likes to eat.. he dun really like all the other foods.. he HATES apple.. so strange.. he will close his eyes and make a funny face. He prefers plain rice/ barley/ oatmeal cereal..

i'm going to let him slowly try basic foods first.. i think when he's tried most things then will swith him to porridge later so we can cook with tabby's food. Now still introducing new stuff so don't want to cook with tabby's food cos tabby's food now has to be "tastier" with soup stock made of red dates/ gei zi/ ikan bilis and other things like lotus root or yellow melon.

my CL is 62 and is quite neutral about breastfeeding. she said breastfeeding made her work very easy and is quite paiseh about it. I am only in charge of breastfeeding and once I am done, she will quickly take over to burp her. she will suggest FM if she sees baby not full like the first night at my place but luckily my milk came in and I have not supplemented since then. she cooked a lot of food and although the food is tasty, they are quite oily. imagine I finished 3 big bottles of sesame oil. my PIL got a shock when I told them. she is quite good at cooking tonic soup. if you are particular about all these, better check first. I am quite easy about food so I am alright.

after damien recovered from fever....his good friends; cough and flu come along. Last sat brough him to doctor again.
worst of all he totally reject solid food and milk....he totally rely on water and air only...(becoming a plant).

we only managed to coax him to drink abit of milo.

Ever since he fell sick, his temper become so bad and was really out of control.

Any RP moms here wanna have early lunch at City Hall? I'm meeting Cookie to collect the Nordic Natural Cod Liver Oil so will be meeting her around 11.50am for lunch. Her lunch hour is from 11.40 - 12.40. But if you can only make it from 12pm onwards it's ok with me...today am my own government. hahaha

thanks for the feedback on the age. my fren did say that this CL though old, but still strong and healthy and is very good with babies. she hasn't been taking up assignments too often cos she went for eye op. she did my fren's confinement in Dec. but she's going for another eye op after CNY. so she won't take assignements till mine. she rejected a few pple before me.

re solid meals
i think when to start 3 meals a days depends on the bb also. i think i started 3 meals probably after he was 11 months or so. once his milk intake drop, i started to increase the solids

need some advice. JH's nose is very very stuck at night but it doesn't happen in the day. the mucus is all the way inside and can't blow it out. i did put nose drops for him and it doesn't help. and he can't sleep cos of that.

he has been really naughty since recovering from his fever. quite a nightmare actually. hope he wil get rid of his wilful behavior soon. me and hb can't stand it!

he has been surprising me with his speech again. he can speak in sentences now and i think the sch really puts in effort to make him speak in sentences. yesterday before i got down from my sis's car, he wanted to take my sis's umbrella and he told her 'heng take yee yee umbrella home' we were both so surprised cos we cd see him trying to form the sentence. and this morning, as we left the house to take sch bus, he turned to the father and said bye bye papa see you tmr. quite funny

yah, JH also. the thing is hb tends to jump at him very fast so we also keep quarreling over JH. sigh...i hope by going back to sch, he can get back to his usual self soon.

have you tot of bringing JH to PD to see if they can 'suck' out the mucous? My SIL brings her 5mth old baby to the PD to do that cos she can't cough out the phlegm and it helped alot.

Had a terrible wknd with Meg too cos she wanted daddy to carry her all the time when she's awake! And daddy's patience is not the best type and having gout attack too so left foot is super pain. She will scream and cry continously to insist he carries her and he will in turn vent his anger by kicking cupboard, chair etc. I really wanted to kick both of them out of the house liao.

She refused to let me carry her or want anything else. So i took the cane and made her stand in one corner while i scolded her at the top of my voice. Of cos she jus continued crying but too afraid to move. After dunno how long she stopped, but like only 15mins later, she start again...faintz...she will only stop when daddy relents.

hmm.. Caleb also wasnt on his best behaviour during his class on Sat. His dad gave him a stroke of the cane (a very hard 1) when we reached home and he cried until very cham.
Although my heart very pain but i cannot side Caleb. So i explained to him why Papa caned him and tell him not to do it again.
Haiz...cun they just behave??

hmm, i shall consider your suggestion. i will go and get the nose spray today and see whether it works tonight. if not, then maybe tmr will bring him to see PD again to see whether can get the mucus out. but the funny thing is before he goes to bed, can't see or 'hear' the mucus in his breathing. but when he lies down, the heavy breathing starts...

wow your gal is really a daddy's gal....she is so sticky to daddy. your hb got gout? better? my dad also got a gout attack recently and taking very long to clear. weeks already and still can't clear it.

I am having the same problem with Jamie. When she is angry, she will try to smack you. And will vent her anger, start throwing things and screaming like no one biz. When u bring her out, she will sit on the floor and refused to walk. Always want us to carry her. Really out of control and testing my patience.

Thanks for all the well wishes.

It has been a long time since I last log in. After delivered to Declan I have been very busy. Declan has been staying inside the NICU for 8 days, and finally discharged on 26 January. His main problem is because he cannot coordinate suckle and breathing well, because he is slightly premature. Now from what I observe, he has been learning and coping well. However, on saturday, we went back to see his PD for a follow up check up, PD checked that his jaundice level is very high, haiz. And we rented the machine back for 3 days to sun him. Tuesday need to go back for a jaundice check up again. Now very worried his jaundice level cannot come down. I have stop taking all the ginger. Hope it will help.

Congrats! I saw you in Mt Alvernia, because that time Declan still in NICU, I went to visit him daily. But I too paiseh to talk to you because we never met before, only see your photo on Kirsten's blog before.

After deliver Declan, I always find no time for Clarisse, and feel very bad about it sometimes too. When I still in hospital, also miss her like crazy.

And I feel that her terrible two is getting worse too, she is like testing my hb and mine patience. When we ask her not to do something, she will just simply ignore. For example, we ask her not to touch my pump in a nice tone, she will just simply ignore and continue to touch. Sometimes I also worried she will feel left out or jealous about Di Di thats why until now we still refrain ourselves in beating her. Really hope this will be a phase.

I hope the poor baby is alright.. I teared when I saw how the maid ill-treat the poor helpless baby who looked like he's only 2months or maybe just over a month old? No one in the right mind treats a baby like this. Its 太没人性

about maids &amp; lies abt their age/babies
My maid's age was also increased by 5 years according to the biodata, she should be 29 this year but she told me she's only 24 this year. This is because their agent in indonesia added/deducted years from their age to make them "more suitable" for our criteria. She said their agent at the indonesian training center warned them to "lie" with them against their will.

Once many years back, my dad hired a 18year-old maid and it turned out that the maid who came was not even the same person we picked from the biodata! We found it strange when we first saw her as she clearly didn't look like the same person in the photo of maid we chose (height also different) . Also the one who chose was slim and this one is plump. About 2 weeks later, we found out that she's only 13years old when her period came and she didn't know what to do, causing a big mess. She confessed that the passport she held didn't belong to her after repeated questioning by my dad.

yup, my hb has history of gout. Certain foods will trigger an attack and worse still he doesn't control his diet. Recently been eating lots of CNY goodies and one of them could hv triggered his attack.

My gal is soooo super sticky to daddy that he is afraid of her. Jus now he asked if i wanna hire a maid when #2 comes along. I told him, hiring a maid will not solve the problem of Meg being sticky to him! She will still stick to him and the maid can't help too! i told him, wat can u expect from ur kids when u urself hv such a bad temper??!!

Your chilli padi not bad leh. My Aden oso like that. Ha ha yday he had fun beating his dad and dad beating him and he thought was a game. Till my bil stared at him and he thot oops not right and he starts to cry like being framed. Then cannot stop liao. Lucky dinner was in VIP room and we have just finished our dessert. Quickly carry him out and run man.

OMG I realli fret out when I watched the video. I finished all 6 and cannot imagine why she has to do that to the baby.

I watched the 6.30 news on mobtv and got even angrier that she is now on bail. How can let such a ruthless person be out !

The mummy is so calm to accept interview. I think I will be too disturbed and will be busy sending my baby for all possible check to ensure she is ok.
