Hope you and your mum relationship improved and your cyst... you are going thru another op?
When I was young, I'm not close to my parents as well. I have 3 other sibling and I'm in the middle. My dad and mum seems to have fav with the eldest and my younger brother doted by everyone.
I din grew up in condusive enviornemnt either.. cos a lot quarrel happen at home during my teens and thats why I din wanna stay home after classes.
I did not notice how strong our blood tie were until 5 years ago...1 of the darkest period in my life when my marriage was on the rock.
Something bad really happen between me and HB.. and as expected PIL stand by HB (I not suprise or resent becos as parents they should side their son isnt it?)
The only things my MIL did was not only siding with their son, She also "Drop stone into the well" when I discharged from Hospital with the help from my sis. HB hardly visit me in hospital and not even pick me from hospital when discharge. His given reason is need to work, maybe trying to avoid I dunno. Anyway I was totally ignored. My Sis was the one who hlep me return to my home, my mum and brothers were the one to see me in hospital.
On the day I discharge and rest at home. I took a nap and woke up at 8pm to find that my HB was not home again. I woke up and cried, guess what ? My MIL say I "siao"...sheng jin bin... I totally broke down. I called my family members and all of them rush to my "rescure", Not exactly to beat my HB and ILs up..hahaha.. but wake them up enough that they shouldn't treat in that manner.
My family let me understood that eventhough during good days they may not be around, maybe last time we may not seems closely bond, perhaps we do not have heart to heart talk but they are pple I can rely on. and it really touched me till these days and the rest of my life I believe.
Because from the incident, I know who I can count on and who I can't.
Of course I have left the whole incident behind...and move on. Things are good with Hb now.. perhaps we learn both our mistake along the way. I suppose there is a saying, things that dun kill us make us stronger.
Women are petty?.. heehee I can forgive but cannot forget
Heehee... hmm.. A lot of life story these days....
I believe each of us are shaped and moulded by the experience we have in our life.
Some are smooth sailing, so are faced with rocky roads. At the end of the days, our thinking, character and personalities are shaped more or less...by our expereince... good or bad.
it may also set some expectation wintin us and affect us when we have our children.
Seriously I have never thought of how my mum loves me.. until I have Kaelyn. The love that I have for Kaelyn is something I couldnt imagine or think of before Kaelyn's arrival.
I'm Thankful God Bless me with Kaelyn. He is teaching me every day.
Anyway...I better cut my story and loh soh short too...
Thanks again for sharing, really appreciate it. I hope you can get closer to your mum again
I will keep you in prayer on the cyst, keep us inform.
Re: calm now..
Thanks again for all your valuable advice...
I'm calm now... I was telling SY.. the outburst do both MIL and me Good.. cos finally we talk out whats bothering us.We maybe yelling and talking loudly (Cantonese style..) but we did put things across, both ways. Well at least I listen to her complain... I hope she hear my request.
Since the quarrel.. we are both behaving pretty normal.. I dun chat with her much to start with. SO rite now I'm just normal not talking to her either unless necessary.
Perhaps given time, we may warm up abit.. and chat a bit more.
