I just chopped the green, leafy vegetables finely and put it into the porridge for a while before I feed him... i don't cook the veg with the porridge from the beginning.... turned black when i did that...

Can i check, any of your babies keep tossing and turning, tossing and turning when they sleep wiht eyes still closed and still like in dreamland...? wondering why my boy keeps doing that... whatsmore, he sleeps together with hb and me, so it is very disturbing when he does that...

do you wake your babies up, bathe and feed him before you send him to your caregiver..? Feel very 'bu ren xin' to wake him up when he is still sleeping so soundly... also always like a mad rush in the morning...

me feeling super bluey about going back to work next week.... contemplating to take NPL and be a SAHM....

dowan la.. last time i had run to NTUC for some groceries & Isaac woke, i returned home to an angry papa who complained why i took so long.

daytime he does the housework, help my parents to shift, take care of isaac, conducts lessons in the hot sun/ cold water.. it's a lot of physically demanding work.
night time it's my turn liaoz. Let him rest & relax.
 
re- Cleaning Lamaze Octivity toy

any mummies here bought the lamaze octivity toy? how to clean har? they say surface clean only..as in use wet cloth and wipe? i wipe the toy everyday but find like not clean enough cause bb likes to suck on it..can use Steam cleaner to steam it?
 
hosanna, yeah, mine does tt aso. so he's 'banished' 2 sleeping in his cot nw. yeah, i aso can't bear 2 wk & leave my boy at hm. bt no choice. tink of it tis way, u r earning $$ 2 buy toys, save 4 his education, etc...

i'm a mummy, yes, u can. tt's wat i do sometimes.

hosanna, zephan also turns a lot when he sleeps.. think it's normal cos i also remembered myself doing that even when i was in primary school! found myself on the other side of the bed but dun recall waking up at all..

hmm, i'm only in that mood once in a while, esp when he was sick that time.. otherwise, i'm pretty happy to go to work! unless got 2 people taking care of him then it'll be a more attractive proposition.. haha..

hey, anyone thinking of #2 at this moment? Hb's been asking on n off, but he always pick the wrong timing, e.g. when i just finished a tedious feeding time, calming a crying zephan, etc.. :p so he always get the same "no" lah! but seriously thinking, it'll be at least a 1.5 year gap, and to factor in time needed to conceive, prob 2 year gap already?

dunno what my boss would say if i have to take 6 months off work again though... think i'll be stuck in my position for ever n ever with no promotion in sight..

Hi, anyone has trouble feeding their kids? My gal entered the fussy about food phase and she refuses to eat anything after a few mouthful. hiaz....Issit normal? Maybe its because she eat the same things everyday, but babies can't really take many types of foods rite?
 
haha.. u wont be able to resist those cute pink clothes! everytime i see them i always think will buy that if zephan were a gal.. haha.. initially i bought a lot of whites cos thought can pass on to next kid esp if a gal, but after a while it looks v boring in pictures, so started to get more colours. :p

I buy white (from Mothercare) coz that's the cheapest =P
But white clothes that are not washed often will turn yellow, so might as well buy yellow clothes - boy/girl also can wear.

when that happens to me, i'll get someone else to do the feeding. It usually works for my boy.
 
cupcake, usually distraction works, like talking to her. one other way is TV if she likes it, but i wouldn't encourage it until last resort, cos she might form bad habit of eating only in front of tv.

It's me reporting back from London! ya, I'm there now on Biz trip and missing my son terribly. London is super ex! cost of living almost like S$1 = 1 pound. Feeling v poor here. Despite that, any must-buy in London?

great to hear that your bb constipation has improved!! Oatmeal and friso suit my boy real well too. To further soften the stool, u can try feeding some diluted apple juice once in a while...or scrapped papaya.
 
yes, wendyg. It's 1 pound to S$3. Their cost of living is 3 times ours. Hardly anything less than 1 pound. Even a MRT ride is 3 pound!! A small hot choc is 1.4 pound...
 
Ixwong look for "Next" BB wear 8) I don't know the price but my friend bought one set from UK when she go for biz trip... I think is quite chio.

My girl is like dat now... After a few mouthful of porridge, she will start shaking her head to indicate she doesn't want anymore. I will just feed her milk earlier.

Tingting, i think sometimes back the newspaper said that no. 2 shd preferably have a 2 yrs gap (cant remb liao). Anyway, my hubby also thinking of having another boi boi, since my gal only 4 mths! Peng san** I told him to go and fly kite...keke. Actually, dun think I want a 2nd one, dun want to go thro' the pregnancy process again. I dread all the vomitting and morning sickness. But whenever I see my gal looking at other kids, I dun knw is it selfish of me to think like that.

Actually London is very expensive , I remembered when me and my hubby were dating then, we spend more than 1K SGD just on meals within a day!!totally insane!!

ineedmilk, if both u n ur hb similarly want 3-4 kids, then really should not drag, unless u're aiming for twins..

my ideal target is 3, and want to finish by 35, so i also not much time.. 2 kids in 5 years.. :p i dun like to have kids too late, cos if u're 50s ur kids will still be in teens. And we know all sorts of illnesses will strike from 50 onwards. wouldn't want the older sibling to have to shoulder raising up their younger siblings if something happens to the parents. If u're healthy, it'll also be a good time to travel and not looking after kids still.

How do you feed apple to bbs? I cut into tiny cubes, but she can't bite (too small a piece), if I blend it, the puree will turn brownish. Last resort was to get her hold the slice of apple (normal size)and feed herself. But messy.. As such, she doesn't take fruits everyday (coz our family takes mainly apples). Poor BB Sarah...

if u dont mind, let her eat those bottled fruits (gerber or heinz). that's what i do.. cos i'm too lazy to prepare fruits for her.. altho sometimes i just let her gnaw at my half-eaten apple..

sarah's mum, i scrape the fruit either straight using spoon, or using the grater onto a plate. The scraper takes just 1 min to finish 1/2 apple (that's my speed la), and i do it after he finishes his meal, so it's not left standing. easy to feed fruit includes bananas, papayas, honeydew. if u dun take them, can buy from the fruit stalls.

ineedmilk, wendy, hmm, i'll offer babysitting services at $20 per hr.. haha..
