I am just wondering if 2 years old is too young to go to a playgroup. I am debating whether to put Shannon in a playgroup in Church. They dun allow parents to accompany the kids in class and I am worried that at 2 years old, they are too young to be left without mummy or daddy in a new environment.

My sis in law sign up her son for such a playgroup and he cried for a week. Very heart pain leh.

My Gym has recently opened another branch at Marine Parade.

Shermyn has tried their Waddlers class so I am thinking of going for the Gymsters trial class this round. It's meant for runners and climbers from 1.5 3 years.

Details of the class (extracted from the website http://www.mygym.com.sg/):
Fine and gross motor coordination and manipulative skills are developed through imaginative games, special rides and irresistible group activities. The youngsters feel so great about themselves as they learn beginning gymnastics.

My Gym can't arrange an exclusive class for us but they can take about 5 "trialers" per class.

Any mummies here keen to join me for this free trial? I'm looking at the Sat afternoon class from 3:15pm to 4pm.

The class is still available for tomorrow, 4 Mar and next Sat so far.

i think parents don't have to accompany them for the daily playgroups.

i agree with you that it could be tough putting them there when they are so young.

hopefully i can stay by my belief that the benefits of helping them learn their independence earlier and allowing them to pick up their social skills will outweigh the fear of separation anxiety when the time comes.

i have seen real life examples between a child who attended playgroup at 18 months and another who only went to school at 3 years old. the difference is really a lot. maybe it lies in their individual personalities as well...

anyway, it's only 2 hours day right ? can't be that bad lah.

The class was fun with lots of activities. They even have a rock wall! Too bad there weren't enough time for the kids to free play and explore the equipment/environment.

Just a quick one..

<font color="ff0000">Haircut 04.03.06</font>
Daddy &amp; mummy brought me to a nearest salon to have a haircut.
I was quite steady at first, but after a while I nervous liao because saw so much hair fall onto my face and the noise from the shaver..Daddy and mummy had to hold me very tight cos I started struggling and cried loudly with the power of my lungs!
The aunty had to stop cut my hair because I kept shaking my head. 10mins later she continued kill me again, and mummy had to carry me in the end because I kept wiggling away.Oh noI cried until lost my voice.
Poor me, why so fear of haircut?

Heres my new look, now everybody likes to call me as o ni gu..

<font color="ff0000">A Wonderful Sunday 05.03.06</font>
Daddy and mummy brought gor gor and me to Sembawang Park. This is my second time been there. The feeling is totally different.
First time: still kong kong.just sat in the pram and did for nothing except sleeping.
This time: Very the happy cos enjoyed playing sand with my gor gor. Actually initially I was so fear, dont even want to step on the sand, I found that the place very dirty leh! How can daddy and mummy ask me playing at this place? But theyre so patiently to guide me to explore the sandemmmm.in the end, I non-stop hitting the sandmy botak head also kena the sandhahahaaaa. Daddy said Im a cleaver boy cos I only played but didnt eat the sand.
After that was waterplay time. The water was absolutely cold but I dont even care abt it. Just hitting the waterall kena my face and month, yeeeeeeeeee.so salty! But quite fun leh!
Daddy said next time we shall have a BBQ here.Hooray! I would come back againwho wanna to join me???
