    Year 2016 IVF Mummy To-Be

My gynae told me that once you conceived successfully via IVF, you are equivalent to any naturally conceived woman out there. So i'm still surprised at the conservative approach of some doctors/insurance companies out there. Maybe cos the technology is just 30+ years old, they wanted...

Hi all, I am expecting a new helper joining me, what furniture and accessories should I prepare for her joining? - A bed - A small cabinet for her to put her items - what kind of cabinet do you use? - A fan - Toiletries - Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Facial Wash...what about sanitary pads...

Support Group - Endometriosis and Fibroids.

I conceived via IVF as my endo is stage 4, causing a frozen pelvis. There are still cysts within me and the doctor asked me to decide if I wanted to remove them then go for treatment or just go ahead with them around (less chances because the presence of cysts will make the environment less...

    2016 Mommies - Expecting Twins

I see. I'm contemplating if I can get a super nanny who stays near me to look after them instead, cos my husband and I are not very comfortable with a 3rd person hanging around in the house, plus all the scary helper stories.

Nope I don't. Are you in 2ww now? Guess the degree of severity of everyone's condition is different, so it's hard to compare apples to oranges. Furthermore everyone's egg & sperm quality are different. I watched a lot of comedy during my 2ww - helps to take a lot of stress away which helped...

    Year 2016 IVF Mummy To-Be

Don't worry, it will not :) It is very normal. My husband complains that I'm releasing more gas than usual and he has to inhale them. I just said it's not me, it's the babies so he has no choice hahah Stage 4 endo here, which is the most severe form, with lesions on my ovaries and a frozen...

My sister did her oscar at TMC. She said the sonographer who handled her was pretty rough - her baby was not in the ideal position for the scan and the sonographer shook her stomach and massaged it roughly. But luckily nothing happened to her baby. The rest of the process was okay.

Agree...people may not noticed you are pregnant too if you are back facing them. I work in a University where people just assume you are a student (my honor actually despite being 30+ years old :p) and my office is in the middle of the campus, so I have to take a shuttle bus from the MRT to...

Haha that's interesting. I have yet to take the trains since I'm pregnant. Had terrible experience being pushed around, and knocked by big bags when I was not pregnant then.

For moms who are carrying twins/triplets, how will you be managing the care after your maternity ends? I'm having problems engaging a confinement lady now because not many r willing to do multiples. I'm not really into getting a helper because of the many horror stories. I think the first 3...

    Year 2016 IVF Mummy To-Be

My private gynae was actually the one who recommended that I go for IVF straight the moment I want to conceive due to my medical history. I remember the last sentence he said to me while passing me the referral letter - "Go for this and when you come back, you are the same as any pregnant lady...

    2016/08 August babies

Same here. The first hour or so will be fine. But I will be so exhausted by mid-day I was falling asleep on the coaches and sleeping in car rides in between house visits. And I'm still on my first tri, so not really ready to announce. But some of the super experienced aunties can tell straight...

I'm currently week 9+ but stomach is looking so much bigger, as if I'm 3-4 months. I know it's definitely not the babies because they are still so teeny weeny now. Anyone experiencing this as well? Not sure if it's because my intestines are swelling or I'm super bloated...

Oops. Mine is Oscar scan plus a blood test. Not sure if that blood test is considered Harmony test or not. Didn't research too much on that. It depends on your age too. I read that if you are >35 years old, just skip Oscar and go for Harmony cos the latter has higher accuracy but more expensive.
