I would say don't rush into IVF too. Although statistics shows IVF has higher success rates, it depends on different individuals. I've come across someone who succeeded only after 7 times. It depends on many factors. If Doc accessed that you can try IUI and you are still young (IVF subsidy stops at 40yo), I would recommend that you go for more rounds of IUI before considering IVF. Like some said above, IVF is more invasive to our body. IUI may have lower success rates, but costs is lower too. If your hubby SA is good, no harm trying few more rounds.Wow really,? That's sad. I just wanna jump straight to IVF. Guess cannot rush. I don't wanna go through IUI with lower success rate. Thanks for the hugs* needed them.
For myself, Doc told me no point to do IVF so soon again when my eggs quality and quantity is no good. So I'm currently taking Saizen jabs regularly to hopefully improve my eggs. And meantime also plan to try IUI for maybe 3-4 times, and 1 last IVF before I turn 40. If all fails, I will close shop haha..

Hi, if I'm not wrong, as long as you go polyclinic to get referral first, you are entitled to subsidized rates. But subsidized patients don't get to choose their doctor, I think they are assigned each time to whoever is on duty.
I've heard that Dr Stephen Chew is Prof Wong's right hand man. He is quite friendly and soft spoken, quite easygoing. The only thing is he always seems to be in a rush because he has many patients. He is not very outspoken so you gotta ask what you want to know.

Clomid helps to ovulate n maybe create more eggs. I don't like clomid because I feel if take too many times will thin my lining.

Hi @ttc7 I remember u from the IVF thread. Don't be sad..just keep trying. Yes you can take folic when taking clomid.
Not all people suitable to take clomid. I took two cycles and always with only one egg so I feel there is no point. If you want to do IUI might as well do SOIUI. Jabs will stimulate more eggs. Clomid IUI I find waste of time but that's just me.

I was on Clomid and jabs, different doctors. Clomid doctor was looking for ONE follicle only for that cycle to prevent more than one pregnancy, whilst jab doctor felt that I'm wasting time on Clomid because it was almost like normal intercourse and jab is necessary to increase the number of follicles and thus increasing my chance of conceiving.
If so easy have multiple pregnancy we would have strike long ago. I still think you should push your doc to do Soiui. Even when I do Soiui with few follicles also never strike. My child was from ivf.

My 1st unsuccessful fresh IVF done 5-6 years ago. Failed FET last May and 2nd fresh IVF last Dec. Now I'm seeing another fertility doc and he recommends that I treat my egg prob first before embarking on another IVF. I've taken TCM med since Feb and Saizen jabs for 2-3 months, hopefully will improve my eggs. Meantime trying SO-IUI, will try max 6 times if my finances allows me haha..if all fails then I will do my last IVF.
Did doc tell you how many mature follicles you had after taking clomid?
I was given 5 days Duinum+3 alt days Gonal F jabs last cycle and only had 4 follicles during my day 8 scan and 1 mature follicle at day 12 scan, Doc told us to BD naturally at the dates he indicated, failed. This cycle, given 5 days Letrozole+4days Menopur, had 6 follicles at day 8 and 2 mature follicles at day 12.
I think If your Doc monitor you closely, he can somewhat control the dosage of stimms given to you so that you do not get too many mature follicles near trigger.
My second attempt. I have friends tried few times before they succeed. Ivf is about trial and error also. Sometimes our good egg haven't come out yet. I find it best to focus on improving egg quality than anything else.

Yes haha..been through quite a few devastating moments but this forum really gave me great deal of support. Seen a lot of cases worse than mine and they finally succeeded so that's the motivation I got.
From my last IVF, doc said I have lower than average AMH for my age and the eggs are grainy. Hubby's SA has no issue so I'm praying everyday for that 1 precious egg.
Sueno, my IUI under jab also failed and conceived naturally the next cycle. My doctor said he has seen this happening many times due to the effect of the meds!

After discussion with hubby and agreeing on working together on our current plan, I'm happier. I'm grateful I've a pretty supportive hubby
Don't give up, just keep trying. Failing IVF or IUI is not the end of our TTC journey. Giving up is.

I started wanting to know after coming to this forum too haha..curious to know how's my own condition. Pros and cons..when my numbers seems good, I feel a bit relaxed, when not that good, I feel stressed. So duno good to know or not haha
I never do anything differently. I suppose if we persevere one day sure will make it. There are many things to blame when we fail our cycle but there really isn't any explanation. I read on the net a lot and Science can only do so much and is all about our egg, body and luck.

Haha, I see hubbies at the clinics, other than accompanying the wives, and also "swiping their credit cards", there is nothing much they can do when the wives go in to have scans, poked by needles for blood tests, etc. etc.
But I think they can only show moral support and wait patiently.
After all, having a kid is not just the wife's duty, it's for both.
So having a supportive husband really helps a lot.

Hi! I am just sitting around eating guavas haha!
Feeling that this round is not working for me. I don't feel any symptoms whatsoever. Tummy feels heavy but probably are my fats.
I'm resisting to POAS... When is the soonest we can test on clearblue digital?

But, hard to say leh. Because sometimes your AF symptoms is like pregnancy symptoms. So far, for me these tww, I am easily tired. Is it a sign that I am pregnant? Lol!@catinthesky , eating guava alone is it? Next time share with me hor....hehehe. Dun feel pessimistic. I read some forum, the sis actually didnt even think she is pregnant cos she felt nothing. Like normal but ended up BFP. So there is a possibility that you could be pregnant as long as AF still have not visited you.
About the earliest day you can test, I read it is at 11dpiui. (This is based on the trigger shot is totally out of your system) Of course on 14dpiui would be the best.

Actually I have dun know when my AF will arrive.
When I did my #1 iui, my cycle was 28 days. AF came on the 12dpiui. I stop for 2 months. And during these period, with no medication, my cycle lengthened to 36 days. But I guess, I will still check on 14dpiui if my AF still have not arrived.....tick tock....tick tock....Haha, my 1 question, all 3 ladies replied!

All 3 of us like mother hen liao. Sitting on the egg to warm it and waiting for the egg to hatch. Thats why so excited. Hehehe!

Lol!....My hand itchy, just feel like tearing the pregnancy test kit to try. But my head ask me to be patient and stop wasting test stick....Gosh....such a dilemma.

I'm super no use Lor.. Went to test on clearblue digital this morning. Got a "Not Pregnant 2-33+" and google it. It's a spoiled result!!!

My AF is quite prompt..too prompt haha..sad to say I always use hpt just to confirm not preg when I start to spot so that I can start my med for the next cycle haha
Actually I have dun know when my AF will arrive.
