With so many establishments rolling out something special for Christmas, it’s hard to decide on which ones to check out with the kids in tow. We understand that time is precious for parents and you’ll probably only want to head somewhere that will leave your precious little ones brimming with joy. That’s why we’ve taken it upon ourselves to narrow down the list for you! Some attractions (no, they’re not just for tourists) here have lined up festive activities that are perfect for families with kids.
From places that let you frolic in the snow to stores which offer hands-on Christmas workshops, there’s something for everyone. Oh, and don’t forget to try your luck at winning family passes to Pororo Park in our giveaway – scroll till the end!
1. Admire Festive Floral Displays at Merry Medley at Gardens by The Bay
Are you the sort who won’t pass up a chance to photograph gorgeous flowers? You’ve got to drop by the Merry Medley Floral Display at Gardens by The Bay sometime soon then! Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year in the crisp climate of the Flower Dome, where Christmas cheer takes centrestage in the flower field. Poinsettias, amaryllis, and Christmas roses grace charming yuletide scenes while majestic conifer trees fill the air with their woody scents!
A band of toy soldiers, a lovely ballerina cocooned within a giant glass globe, and an angelic choir make up the rest of the Merry Medley. Stay till night and you’ll be treated to a visual spectacle as the Flower Dome takes on a magical glow. No shortage of photo opportunities here for sure!

2. Let Your Kids Meet Poppy & Branch at The Trollific Playcation at Sentosa
If you caught the latest Dreamworks animation flick, Trolls, you’d know just how adorable those cheerily coloured characters were. Take your kids to Sentosa this festive season where the area around Beach Plaza, Merlion Walk and the Merlion will be transformed into a Trolls themed playland of wondrous fun! Activities include a light installation at the Luminous Zone, a Shadow Play area, and photo points for selfies and wefies.
Little ones can meet Poppy and Branch on 10 December (Merlion Plaza) and 17 December (Beach Plaza) thrice a day at 11.30am, 2.30pm and 6pm! There’s also a special Trolls edition of the famous light show set against the 37-metre tall iconic Merlion, starting at 7.45pm daily!

3. Have Yourself Some Bubblicious Fun at Quayside Isle @Sentosa Cove
Embellished in decorative bubbles, Quayside Isle @Sentosa Cove creates that White Christmas ambience for you and your family to bask in. The waterfront location will be filled with food and entertainment for everyone this merry season. Admire the fairytale setting and embrace the calming breeze while riding the Choo Choo Train with your tots on weekends or check out the festive market set up by the boardwalk for some handmade trinkets.
The Bubble Play zones, bouncy castle and game stalls will make sure your kids won’t be complaining of boredom. Do also look out for Santa Claus during lunch hours on weekends to receive a candy cane – whether you’ve been naughty or nice!

4. See Your Favourite Characters at Santa’s All-star Christmas at Universal Studios Singapore
What’s new at Universal Studios Singapore this festive season? Santa’s Village! This year, a quaint little village makes its debut at the park for you to explore and meet Santa’s little helpers, the elves and the talking reindeer (you read that right)! Another new addition is the ‘live’ show, Bah Humbug! A Christmas Spectacular directed by Ebenezer Scrooge. The singing and dancing extravaganza features your favourite characters from Sesame Street, the Minions, Gingerbread Man, the Snow Queen and more!
Don’t forget to enjoy the hourly snowfall everyday and put the icing on the cake by catching the dazzling fireworks on selected nights. There are also Meet & Greet sessions for you to take pictures with characters dressed up for the holidays!

5. Test Your Imagination at Sketch Christmas at The ArtScience Museum
If you’ve visited the ArtScience Museum’s newest permanent exhibition, Future World, you’d know that the Sketch Town segment lets you try your hand at urban planning and design in a fun and innovative way. This Christmas, a special festive installation Sketch Christmas is set to thrill visitors of all ages. Colour Santa Claus and place your 2D art pieces on the scanner and watch him magically come to life in Christmas Town!
Little ones can also draw other parts of the town that Santa might just pop by, such as cars, skyscrapers and more! Interact with your sketches and have fun watching them respond!

6. Look Back on ‘Memories Through Time’ at KidZania Singapore
Treat your children to a series of enjoyable activities at KidZania Singapore this December. Participate in Christmas themed in-park happenings – from a Christmas City Parade to creating their very own Christmas Snow Globes. The edutainment park encourages its visitors to usher in Christmas by remembering and reflecting on their best KidZania moments in 2016. Score a selfie at the Photo Booth, or meet KidZania’s RightZKeepers and Santa Claus at the main square at 11.40am and 2.55pm daily!

Everyone knows that Christmas is the busiest time of the year for Santa’s trusted helpers as they work hard to deliver presents to children around the world. But are all the gifts ready? Is the sleigh set to take off to make sure no child is disappointed on Christmas morning? Find out at this delightful performance sure to entertain your little ones!

8. Watch Santa Dive Underwater at Merry Fishmas at S.E.A. Aquarium
So your kids have gotten up close with Santa Claus before – probably in his cottage set up within an air-conditioned mall. They have told him what they’d like for Christmas and snapped the customary Santa’s Cottage memento while seated on his lap. Don’t you think that’s a little too mainstream? How about having a Merry Fishmas and watching Santa dive underwater to feed exotic marine life instead? Scuba Santa and his Elf will be feeding marine animals from a giant gift box – a sight you’ll want to capture on camera!

The second Christmas Market at Loewen by Dempsey Hill is taking place this weekend! Over 20 amazing vendors offering gorgeous Christmas gift ideas, an indoor kids play area, and activities such as face painting and making balloon animals will be there to put you and your kids in the festive mood. Santa will be dropping in as well to check on who’s been naughty or nice this year – so keep a lookout for the jolly old man!
Parking at the venue is free, so you don’t have to worry about incurring extra charges. Just focus on your Christmas shopping and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere that awaits you at Loewen!

14. Catch The Festive Light Up and Skate Away at SAFRA Punggol
The Atrium at Level 3 of SAFRA Punggol has been transformed into a festive wonderland to delight visitors of all ages! Little ones can look forward to meeting Santa Claus, who’s taking time out of his busy schedule to spread the season’s merriment. Fun-filled festive activities like Christmas Tree Decoration and Christmas Ornament Making will be perfect for the adults to keep themselves occupied with. And what will the kids do in the meantime? Bounce away at the Christmas themed bouncy castle, of course!
Skating enthusiasts can glide around the beautifully lit up Christmas tree – the star of the show. To avoid disappointment, feel free to bring in your own skates and safety gear! The skating rink holds up to 20 people at any one time.
