22 Cafes That Open Before 9AM So You Can Head Down After Dropping Your Kids Off at School!

We bring you a list of 22 cafes that open their doors before 9 o’clock so that you can get your morning caffeine fix after dropping the kids off at school.

You know what they say – the early bird catches the worm. So if you are a stay-at-home mum or a mumpreneur, why not head to a cosy cafe for a cuppa to get your productivity levels soaring after you’ve dropped the kiddos off at school? But does every hipster cafe you’ve visited so far only open at 10am or later? How blasphemous! We know how frustrating that can be when you’re dying for that cup of joe, so we’ve taken it upon ourselves to suss out the wonderful hang-outs that welcome patrons before the clock strikes nine.

1. Assembly Coffee

Assembly Coffee prides itself on being part of the third wave coffee movement. So it’s the place to head to if you’re a coffee connoisseur! 2. ATLAS Coffeehouse

ATLAS Coffeehouse is the sister cafe of Assembly Coffee, so you can be sure that the coffee here lives up to your high standards. The breakfast menu offers classics like Bacon, Beans & Sausages, Breakfast Pancakes and Eggs Benedict. The must-try here would be the ATLAS Butterscotch Banana Pancakes!

3. Baker & Cook Hillcrest

If you adore sinful baked goods as much as savoury brunches, you can enjoy the best of both worlds at Baker & Cook. 4. Black & Ink

This lovely monochrome themed cafe sports vintage chairs you’d find at a coffeeshop back in the days and white marble-topped tables. You won’t find the usual suspects on the breakfast menu here. 5. Boufe Boutique Café

The minimalist, fuss-free white interior of Boufe Boutique Café coupled with the abundance of natural light makes it conducive to photograph your breakfast before you tuck into it. 7. Dutch Colony Coffee Co.

8. Food For Thought

Nestled within the Singapore Botanic Gardens, this Food For Thought branch is probably the most scenic of them all. If a post-breakfast stroll through lush greenery is your thing, then you’ve got to drop by to savour the cafe’s all-day brunch menu. Ravenous? Go for The Full Works which consists scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, cherry tomato salad and brioche toast.

9. Gemmills

The breakfast menu here at Gemmills may be rather limited but we love that the portions served up are generous and also wallet-friendly! Toasted Ham & Cheese Croissants and Granola, Fruit & Yoghurt Bowls are some of the breakfast favourites on the menu at this humble quality cafe.

This here is another one of those cafes that boast classy vintage inspired interiors that will have the artsy sorts squealing in delight. Here’s another cafe you should consider if you take your coffee very seriously. Founded back in 2011, Jewel Coffee is the leading purveyor of the third wave coffee movement here in Singapore. Riders Cafe should require no introduction. Tiong Bahru Bakery started off as a collaboration with celebrity baker Gontran Cherrier.
