The Most Kid-Friendly Hotels in Bangkok

Thinking of taking a last-minute getaway with the kids? Bangkok, just a hop, skip, and jump away, is a good choice. Check out these family-friendly accommodation options that we’ve found!

Bangkok, the City of Angels, is a Singaporean favourite for quick and easy getaways, whether with friends or family. We love it for the food, the shopping, the massages (!), and most importantly for families, the child-friendly attractions. If you’re thinking of a quick trip with the kids where you can explore a bustling city while having fun with the little ones, look no further.

With so many things to do in Bangkok, there’s really no reason not to go! Where to stay? One of these five hotels — all with fantastic amenities and play areas for children — would be perfect!

1. Grande Centre Point Hotel Ratchadamri

Grand Centre Point - Playground

Looking for a hotel close to the Siam Centre shopping area? Grande Centre Point Hotel Ratchadamri will meet all your requirements. Located in Bangkok’s central metropolitan location, the hotel is close to the dazzling streets of Siam as well as the Silom business district (ideal if you’re here for business).

The famous Erawan Shrine is five minutes away on foot, and kid-friendly attractions such as Siam Ocean World and Madame Tussaud’s are nearby. But if the afternoon’s too warm to be traipsing around with young ones, stay in, have a spa treatment, and relax at the pool. The playroom and the indoor play area will also keep kids happily occupied.

Have a splashing good time with the kids in the swimming pool or watch a movie with them in the entertainment room. The entertainment room boasts a 70-inch home theatre and an vast collection of DVDs to keep everyone happy. Come sundown, if your kids are tired or if you want to treat yourself to dinner and drinks at one of the city’s famous rooftop bars, simply avail yourself of the hotel’s babysitting service.

2. The Sukosol Bangkok

Sukosol Hotel - Premier_Family

Children are made to feel special right from the moment they enter The Sukosol Bangkok. Kids get a goodie bag filled with cute presents like a stuffed toy elephant, stickers, crayons, activity books and a personal ID with which they can collect stamps with from different areas in the hotel. Kids can also enjoy complimentary swimming lessons at the rooftop pool and take Thai cooking classes. Do remember to dress little ones up in the hotel’s child-sized robes and petite slippers for an adorable picture to show to the grandparents!

Opt for a Family Room, where you can request for a baby bathtub, bottle warmers, and even a collection of family-friendly DVDs to watch. Rooms can easily accommodate a family of four, and babysitting services are available as well.

Going out is easy. The Sukosul is just a kilometre away from the famous Pratunam market. There’s easy access to the BTS Skytrain and Phraya Thai Station, and a hotel airport shuttle service for fuss-free transfers. In the evening, go on a culinary adventure at the night market near the hotel. Staying in for eats? The hotel’s five restaurants have some of the best food in Bangkok: its Lin-Fa Chinese Restaurant, for instance, is recommended in Louis Vuitton’s Bangkok City Guide.

3. Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa

If you’re looking for a more cultural experience for your kids, the resort also organises a fun cooking school session and cultural tours of the city. Need some quiet couple-time? The hotel can provide a babysitting service. One thing kids will definitely love: the resort’s complimentary boat rides across the river to the city station. Just make sure they hold on tight for the ride!
