Yes, I think the teacher is pressured to perform and that's why she's applying pressure on us ie. my kid and me. It's very unhealthy becos the way I see it, my kid has made a lot of improvements in Chinese and starting to acquire skills to recognise words and the meaning of words. It'll be a pity if she hates learning Chinese, instead of - like what you said - enjoying, becos of the pressure. Honestly, that's why I do welcome the lowering of weightage of MT at PSLE. It'll probably help my kid to learn Chinese without the tremendous pressure to excel in it.
