Dear, pls bed rest for now. It could be implantation bleeding.
I managed to do a blood test at a private gynae 5 days earlier than kkh stipulated test date.

All the very best for your Mon blood test.

Hi,

Actually I had the pain after ER as I got 16eggs..doc say my hormone a little high. It took me almost 5days after ET to get rid of the pain and bloatedness..so, u will feel more better few days later la..no worries

won't affect the embroyo right. Today a bit better but stomach keep having sound.

It won't affect and my stomach also having a lots of noise..but all these was gone by 6dpt and now I fart a lots..read online say is early sign of pregnancy..I'm not sure..
Today afternoon I had spotting...not sure whether is implantation.. I am monitoring. Finger cross that is implantation blood...

U r on how many days of transfer. I drank the 100plus But not cold de. Yup. Is like alot of sound n go toilet I try shit also cannot. So dunno normal.

I done ET on 2nd May so, today should be 8dpt 3dt. My BT is on 19th May, 9days to go...dare not test HPT, wanted to wait till BT to know the result...U on how many day of transfer ?

Hi Elizabeth,

8dpt is 8day past transfer 3dt is 3day transfer, my embryos are transfer after 3day of retrival...yes, you will feel pain when laugh, & cough, is normal and will get better...

Yes I did asked Dr Khong why do I need to do laparoscopy, he said this is to check the internal and external of my worm and if there is any cyst he will laser it off at the same time. He explain cyst will poison the baby or cause miscarriage. I got more puzzle becoz my scan result is ok and my husband result not very good. So we ask him can we skip this and go to ivf. He said cannot as this is a must to do and after this laparoscopy then he can give us a plan. And I'm a private patient so this laparoscopy will cause estimated $7,075. I wanna get a good doctor for second opinion but don't know who to approach. May I know what are the preliminary check for ivf? And how u make appt with dr Lau ? Maybe I can call to change doctor

I did laparoscopy, but that is because of the endometriosis cyst. It can be seen during ultrasound and mentioned by a few gynea before. Thus, I agree to do laparoscopy because i know the doctor didn't suggest it based on nothing. Anyway, my cyst came back the next month after laparoscopy. So it was a waste.

Hi Elizabeth,

8dpt is 8day past transfer 3dt is 3day transfer, my embryos are transfer after 3day of retrival...yes, you will feel pain when laugh, & cough, is normal and will get better...
 
The best thing to do in 2ww is rest n keep your mind off. The only time i bfp for my ivf iui was when I almost forgot abt it. went back to work, continued light sports n catching up with friends. The moment i start stressing abt things, things din go on well. Mental stress is the biggest hurdle. So chill n keep your mind engaged with other matters
 
Went for 1st cycle FET US scan on Thursday. Dr Liu KK said, the more eggs extracted, the poorer the quality of eggs. I'm left with 4 frozies. Tranferring 2 this month. Had to choose within a min, to do d2 transfer or blastocyst. Chances like not significantly different as per doctor. As in 4 eggs will give same chance of pregnancy by taking out all 4 to go through blastocyst or implant 2 d2 this month n if fail, implant another 2 next mth... How to choose between d2/3, blastocyst???

My Dr advised if you want lesser trial n error, to go for blastocyst. It helps you to plan quickly to go for next fresh cycle if the remaining frosties don't work out. Personally I prefer blastocyst coz it means less time off work and less anxiety from the 2ww.

Ladies, is Dr Matthew Lau from IVF center or from the clinic? or do they share the doctors? Dr Lau did the preliminary review with me, referred me to KKIVF. after that didn't see him, only saw Dr liu from KKIVF but everytime she only ask me did Dr Lau discuss this with you before??? i don't see Dr Lau like he's my neighbour leh...

Shld b fro clinic，did he say y referred to other doc in kkivf？fro my under string, usually the doc on shifts in KkIVF is to explain the scan results so major decisions goes back to him

I often see Dr Lau walking to the KKIVF side. Maybe like you said. Dr Liu is on shift. Doing regular US review and see how. On my documents, I saw before, my doctor is Dr Lau/Dr Liu...

fetal cells

Hi can I check how many eggs extracted consider ok? Coz my third scan only show 9 follicles and slower growth on cd 10..

Hi,

My case, I was refer by Polyclinic to KKH and they ask me whether I have any prefer gynae, I say No. Then, the nurse only sent me to see Dr Matthew Lau, under his consultation, firstly, I done blood test for Rubella virus and anti-mullerian hormone, Ultrasound pelvis, semen analysis ( hubby ). Lastly, Hysterosalpingography (HSG), blood test for HIV, Syphillis screen for treponema pallidum antibody(CMIA), Hep B antigen and Hep C antibody for both me and my husband. Then, he recommended me first try IUI then IVF and refer me to KKIVF.
After that, my whole IUI process, I did not see Dr Matthew Lau until egg retrieval day (IVF), he is the Doc in-charge of my infertility case so, he is the doc to perform Egg transfer for me too. And for your case, maybe you need to check with KKIVF for the same doc

Some gynaes also specialise in IVF and these gynaes have their name listed in the "Reproductive dept or kkivf". So generally for those wanting to do IVF in KK can look for those doc listed in that department. You can refer to KK website, under woman services and kkivf centre. From there you can see which doc specialise in IVF.

I retrieve on Tuesday and transfer on Thursday. So I believe is a 3rd day trf. Todsy is my 5th day of transfer.

New member here!! Just joined but have been following your posts for the past week!!
Some background:
Both hubby and me have Alpha Thalassemia Minor.
Supposed to do PGD ICSI but as only 2 embryos were left on Day 2,doc gave the option to either freeze them and do another round of ivf, collect more embryos to biopsy tog OR just go ahead with embryo transfer and do blood test in week 11 of preggy. If tested major then abort.
After discussion, we've decided to just go ahead and try!
So here I am.. 4dpt3dt
I'm also with kkivf and bloodtest is scheduled on 22 may. Haha... Dunno why so long.
Hoping to share some baby dust and hear more BFP stories!
 
hi ladies, today is my stimulation D1. I start on Pergoveis today after 4 days of orgalutran. 2nd scan show 7 follicles. left ovary is 5, 5, 6. and right side got 4. cannot remember no.. only know biggest one is 11mm.

Any cycle buddy? :) any ladies here on pergoveis? :)
 
got pulling sensation in both ovaries now after stimulation this morning. scary feeling coz today is stimulation D1 only. is it normal? pls help...:eek:

Hi Elizabeth,

Think we both should be 2dt not 3dt. The feeling of implantation are like your af 1st day coming but after that, I had no more af coming feeling..I had twice implantation spotting yesterday between 2pm and 6pm ...after that until today...only creamy discharge ...I really hope that are implantation spotting...finger cross...
 
Hi hi, realised a lot of sisters r with KKH's. Dont mind me asking - Any reason for that? I am currently with SGH. Have done all the needed test & scan. Hb also done with his test. My next medi appt will be next week. Counselling will be end May. Any kind sisters can tell me about when will I start my ivf journey. Tia...

I am in the same situation as you. Was supposed to do D2 transfer today, Dr Lau who is covering my Dr gave me the same options. I chose to culture to blastocysts. If all cannot make it, can only wait for 3 months later to do FET. By then have to pray hard that at least 2 frosties will survive. According to Dr Lau, chances of conceiving is the same. But if i want to reduce the likelihood of getting twins or triplets, told me to culture to blast then transfer 1 only. Anyway, he said only the stronger of the lot will survive through D5 in external environment.

Don't worry about the numbers. 9 sounds ok. I got about 9 on my 2nd or 3rd scan, then went up to 15 follicles on the next scan. By the time when i did ER i retrieved 23. Just continue with your egg whites and LRD.

Sounds promising...all the best gal...i had AF like cramps too past 3 days.....don't know what to make out of it.

Shiro ger....so will they take all to blast or keep some at D2 frost. After my D2 transfer I don't knw if they will freeze remaining at D2 or culture to blast then freeze....didn't ask also. Kk did normal ivf on 5 eggies...they know hubby morph not good wonder why they didn't icsi all. Else might have note frosties. It's embryologist call is it.

Most of the ppl choose kkh because of cost and also the skill of dr. THH and a few of experience dr always managed to retrieve all eggs in your ovaries even if it's difficult. The system however is not so ideal as in U don't get to see your main dr till ER n ET. If I am not wrong SGH need to pay in advance n they reimburse U later. Kkh n NUH no need to pay upfront. Choose a dr U trust n feel comfortable with. All dr have their pros n cons.
