Hello,
You are totally correct that after screening result is out, it become not so straightforward, how irony ya, we pay so much to do all these screening is to aids us to make the "GO" or "NO GO" decision.
Frankly speaking, hope i am not being excessively rude & insensitive, all the other points are not going to help both of you make the final decision beco, no one can assure to that if you give birth, your bb will become successful, famous etc. No one is going to give you $5m and no way you are going to know that this is the only bb you will ever have etc etc etc
"
"I found only 1 has a Doctorate, 1 is a body builder champ, 1 is a model and others play football, rugby, swim, etc. and the rest hidden at home? Because the level of mental impairment is unknown for ANY child till 2 years old.
If you were given S$5mio based on current times to keep a DS child, would you?
If you were told this is the ONLY child you will have, would you abort?
If you are told, apart from an extra chromosome, the baby is healthy, will live till 50 and earn his 1st US$1mio as a inspirational speaker at 18, would you abort?"
We live in a not prefect world and everyday we are made decision base on incomplete and often inaccurate data. Yet we still sit down to study all the information and resource we have on hand carefully and finally make a decision that at that point in time seems to be the best decision. This is sad but true.
If both of you as a couple is pessimistic ppl, then i suggest you make a decision base on the worst case secenairo, however if both of you are optimistic ppl, then make the final decision base on the best case scenario.
Dun be surprise, that the final decision after you run thru both the best & worst case scenairo might turn out to be the same decision.
All the best.
