May I know how many weeks are your baby? Maybe too small to have movements? Mine during 7w scan looks like no movement too, except blinking heartbeat..

My tummy is already so obvious especially at evening time. My vomitting has stopped though. I half want it back to know baby is growing, half dont want.. Dilemma!

10wks already.. but it looks just so weird in the position lie flat even legs also straight and flat.. only the arms is bended.. nv move at all.. gynae poke my tummy also no movement.. so he zoom in to see and saw heart blinking.. so he said got heartbeat, baby is sleeping... i feel so unease..

I tink no more vomitting is good for u, at least u can eat more nutritious stuffs for your baby! If not whatever u eat all vomitted out

I think it is ok. Bb is sleeping. I notice that after a meal the bb will be very active. So if u didn't eat before the scan bb might be resting instead. As long as got heartbeat it is ok. Don't worry mummy!

Thanks @hi_mei, feel better after the assurance :) mayb next visit i try to eat before the scan n hopefully see some movement.. my baby lying posture is really too scary with legs straightened.. u knw normally babies will curl by bending their legs n arms.
 
@icyjol i think is ok too! Since baby will have many patterns de...sometimes straight sometimes bend sometimes move sometimes sleep! As long as gynae said ok n u saw the heartbeat is what matters most! Next time u can try coughing haa... Be positive!

At 9 weeks 3 days I also saw my bb moving here and there...very amazing feeling right.Next week I am finally 12 weeks and going for my Oscar scan, looking forward to see baby waving at me :)
 
XiaoMif75, for my last pregnancy, the scan show my son sucking his thumb! Damn cute!
I always look forward to ultrascan.

My OSCAR test is end Nov and hopefully sonographer can somehow determine my beanie gender. So excited!
 
I am doing oscar test also. I think harmony more accurate but then it is also more expensive...
 
My gynae is charging around $1.3k for harmony. This test do not require scanning and only blood works. Takes about 2 weeks for the results but able to know gender at 12w after taking blood at 10w.
 
I tot of going anmio instead of Oscar n harmony.... some said Oscar result can't see anything n in the end pay for harmony.
 
Enk, why go for amino ? Did gynae suggest amino to you? This test have a risk of 5% miscarriage. Quite risky. Normally this is the last resort.

Many mummies opt for the non invasive test like Harmony or Paronama which are equally accurate and safer.
 
Ya harmony test is more expensive though but it's able to find out the gender of the bb :) I though of doing Oscar test which shld be good enough to find out whether the bb is ok or not right?
 
It depends on your age... below 35yo, Oscar test is good enough at 90%, better result will be harmony as it is 99% accurate.
 
I'm coming 36 next month, but my gynae still suggest OSCAR first. I think thomson is offering 200plus. I will go for OSCAR test and if the results comes out bad then I will consider other test. HARMOMY and PARONAMA are not cheap tests.
 
I'm on week 9 now, having MS since week 6 but now it seems like my MS has subside a little, not so nauseous anymore but still feeling slightly 'unwell' which I don't know what's the cause...anyone's MS has started subsiding?
 
I am 36 this year ..
Still thinking about abt doing oscar or harmony test ..
I spent almost 4 hrs doing oscar test for my no. 1 ..
Harmony test is so much easier, faster & accurate ..
Only that it is 6 times more expensive than oscar ..

My MS also subsided at 9 wks plus... Then 10 wks came back a bit but still lesser. Scans all ok. Think it is normal ba.. Just count urself lucky.

Whole day I feel tired, sometimes dizzy though the puking has stopped.. Understand how you feel :( dreading about Monday now..
 
Me too. Feeling nuasea every morning and will kinda puke when brushing teeth but nth come out coz is in the morning I guess. And recently will feel giddy too, is that normal? Or is it bad? :(

I am skipping oscar.. doing harmony.. my gynae says oscar is a probability.. they calculate based on your age and the measurements of your baby during the scan and the probability of down syndrome but harmony is a lab test which is not probability, but actual lab results so is more accurate. Ya, and it is able to tell the gender too.

I have frens who did the oscar but got high probability and false positive, end up all went to do harmony or genetic scan with prof ananda. So I jus go for the more accurate one and actual results, not based on probability. I be doing at mount e orchard, it cost $1k according to my gynae.

@enk, try to go for non invasive tests. amino does carry a risk of miscarriage, unless is advised by your gynae to do..
 
Morning mummies,
My ms is mild but always around.. I always have cravings, unlike my previous 2. 3 more weeks before my next gynae visit.

Do you feel anything during this period when the limbs are moving vigourously?

All my 4 children born at KKH, Single Bedder , no student doctor and the service was good. You must get a good gynae for KKH. I got a friend she choose Raffle Medical but the gynae almost kill the baby by giving her pill to induced period even though during scan it show a lump. Maybe the baby is still young that time so cannot detect heartbeat. She suffer soo much sickness, in the end she go KKH Emergency.

At KKH she was referred to Specialist. They manage to rescue the baby an now she going to deliver the baby at KKH.

Normally those critical type case, even Private Gynae will refer them to KKH. KKH is specialist in Babies matter fully equip cause Governent fund the study on fetal & metenal development.

The price i paid 2years ago exclude medisave deduction for 4th child in cash is $2500, incl 2 days stay, single bedder and also Dr Suzanna gynae fees included in the $2500 bill. After 1 month later i receive $500 cheque from KKH, refund for deposit payment upon final bill consolidation.

This no. 5th baby i will deliver at NUH cause i want to try WATER BIRTH and also NUH nearer to my office now... NUH also now have children A& E thus if anything happen to baby during labour they have specialist to attend to it.

Yes I do! I start to feel the flutters, and gas bubbles popping from week 9-10 onwards.
Sometimes when i drink water, i will feel movements.

Kicks are usually detect in 2nd trimester, and there are usually stronger.
What i feel now is light subtle taps.

me going to week 10, feels nothing at all... is it normal? is my beanie inside growing well?
 
Hi all, how's everyone? Just had mango earlier and vomited the hell out. :(

Anyway, just to share my 1st born was at KKH in 2010 with Dr Irene Chua. I stayed B1 ward and the nurses are really nice and all. Even my recent hospital stay at KKH, I took B1, the nurses are friendly and helpful. Wanted to go to other gynaes, but as I had 2 MC last year and really weak for this pregnancy, I think I will stick to KKH as it's really fully equipped there. To be honest, I find their wards bigger than Gleneagles and newer.

Ice Tea , its normal... cos blood sugar level can be lower due to pregnancy.. as long as its not serious, its ok.. still, monitor and take care oh

First-time moms may not feel these movements as early as second-time moms.
Skinner women can usually feel the movements earlier.
I heard it from somewhere that by the second pregnancy, some women start to feel movements as early as 12-13 weeks.
I'm sure another few more weeks, you will be able to feel your baby's flutters.

Don't let your imagination run wild. Be patient.

Must b such a nice feeling! I cannot feel any movements from bb yet! Look forward to the kicks :)
 
My MS is horrible. I will vomit without fail at night. Nausea getting worse as well. Reaching Trim 2 soon but why aint these stopping... :(
Maybe I should get some medicine from Gynae. Anyone taking medicine for MS? and what is the medicine?

Yup, will continue to monitor but luckily it's not too often kind. Maybe 1 week will have 2 days feeling dizzy or what >.< just hope everything will be fine yah

I got vitamin b6 and Pulin from the gynae. B6 is to reduce nausea and Pulin is to reduce gastric or heartburn.. I try not to take though...unless I feel very bad.
 
I thought my morning sickness is almost ending, but looks like it is overstaying, lost weight during my recent checkup.
These few morning, I have been vomiting this nasty bitter yellow liquid. Gross.

Popping in to say hi..
It's Monday n I skipped work today.
Been sleeping a lots n night time can't sleep well.
I have to eat small frequent meals nowadays.
Currently at 8th weeks going 9 th week soon.
Last gynae check up saw the blinking heart beats feel so happy.
Took some anti nausea medicine from gynae too.. as spare. .
At times feel so uncomfortable at work..
Wanna puke.. N keep coughing..
Certain smells also trigger nausea feeling too.
Every morning brushing teeth is torture..
Half way brushing feel nausea again.

N i have become a lazy bum too..
On sleeping spell kind. .
Weekends just zzz n zzz...

Hope can end soon..

Not yet inform my boss too..
Intend to do it after 1 trimster..

Today took urgent leave to rest at home. .
 
HI mummies! though my EDD is in 3 July, i'm also joining this thread coz likely it will be a C-sect in June. LIke some of the mummies here, i'm also worried about work/co-workers. my #1 is only 9 mths old! I cant even finish clearing this yr's Annual Leave, n I will be taking Maternity leave (again) next yr. Dunno how to break the news to my direct boss. Quite a dilemma. :(

I can totally understand how u feel. I have been taking frequent MC and Urgent leave whenever my MS is bad. Feeling guilty as my work performance has dropped significantly >.<
 
I haven been pretty stressed recently due to my absence of work and poor performance due to MS, I thought of resigning even forgo the maternity leave so I won't feel so stressed up, better for the baby as well. Any advices?

Hi hippo78, me too.. this morning...out of a sudden, uncontrollable vomit (even before breakfast).. and this sourish bitter yellow liquid come out too... very gross...
never had such puke before, even though MS always hit in with gagging in the morning after wake up.. but this morning like this, scares me quite a bit...
