Hi i been suffered by endometriosis and recently done a blood transfusion due to heavy menses every month. I need to go for one more time surgery, is anymone can recommend a good doctor for me? Did you know abt doctor janice chin or dr wong wai loong?
Hi I went Thomson fertility centre today. Was found out I have endometriosis. Last year in kkh was found nothing and done iui. Went tfc doctor said no point do iui. Abit disappointed and sad
hi dear, endo cannot do iui? u just discovered endo?
I wasted doing IUI before I discovered endo. During the laparoscopy doc saw the blood/ endo cysts have glued part of the ovary to the womb wall I think, which explained why I can't conceive on my own or thru IUI.
I have not done laparoscopy before just scanning and Doc said is endo. Since u have remove the endo cysts, should have higher chance of conceive right?
May I know which gynaecologist did u visit?

I managed to conceive naturally 1 year after the lap to remove the cysts. After the surgery, doc put me on visanne for 3m to shrink any leftover endo from the tubes. So in all, after my periods came back, i took 9 cycles to get pg.May I know if after the surgery any chance will be good if to get pregnant itself? Any pros and cons? Does this endo will suddenly appear or this over past few years of menses to be appear like tt?

Dear all, i need some advise. My partner and i have been trying for a baby for the past 6 months. He is 40 and i'm 38. We decided to seek help and consulted Dr Loh SF. I just went for blood test and him, his semen/sperm test. His test result was good though his Morphology Oval was 2.0. My egg reserve also good. except for my bumpy uterus. Dr Loh recommend me to go for Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy which will likely to happen in 3 weeks time if my menses come. Should I go ahead with it? I mean he is the expert in this field so i should trust him ya? I know patient will be on GA during surgery, but is it painful after u wake up? I have never had any surgery before. Not even my wisdom teeth. How long needed for recovery? Dr says its a day surgery but need to stay for a night. How do you claim from insurance? Thanks in advance for your advise. I feel scared now... but there is no one i can talk to about this. Some assurance from you girls will be great.
do you feel pain during menses ?
actually lap surgery reduces the egg reserves. so in my opinion, women 35 and above should skip the lap surgery because it can be just quick bucks for the doctor.
although there is no need to be hurry but chances of pregnancy complications increases as age increases.
pain after surgery : with dr loh i am off pain killers from 2nd day. i only feel cramps that are bearable after surgery. u might feel bloated and no appetite but its because gas is pump into your abdomen during surgery. u might feel post surgery blues. have someone by your side
insurance claim: can claim with hospitalization plan of private insurance (usually the most expensive plan but many of us already have) as long as no "fertility" matters stated in your report and invoice. Dr Loh knows what to do. but u need to pay first. the claim comes later.
good luck
The usual menses cramp. Uncomfortable but bearable. But i do have mid-cycle spotting. Whenever near ovulation period, i will spot like 2 panty-liners filled. Comes suddenly, and i will feel wet with cramp. Go toilet check, will surely see bright blood. Dr says it could be the polyps thats causing the bleed. I think i dont really have a choice coz i am not married and my partner and I cannot go for IVF. As IVF for married couples only. I can only hope after this surgery will be able to conceive naturally.
Thanks so much for your advise.
PS: Did you manage to conceive after op?
Hi everyone, I need advise. I'm 37. Went for check up last week and gynae mentioned my uterus is enlarged. I feel that I keep have the urge of going to pee, monthly menses is usually delayed by 10-15 days. 2nd to 4th days more heavier but manageable by taking painkiller. End about 7 days. I had gave birth to 2 kids and gynae ask me to remove uterus since I had gave birth. Anyone can advise me? No medication, iron pills, epo and fish oil is given. Had visited dr Chen mei er and she gave me medicine
sorry to hear that. do you have any birth control devices in you at this moment ?
Hi all,
I'm 29 years old this year and have been having painful cramps since 12. All along I thought it was normal until I started experiencing cramps even when I'm not having my menses.
My friend refered me to a TCM in jurong and during the first visit, she told me that I am suffering from endometriosis and adenomyosis and she mentioned that for my case, some of the blood clots have already been stuck to my intestines She referred me to a gyne in gleaneagles to do an ultrasound.
True enough, based on the ultrasound scan, I was told that I am suffering from stage 4 recto-vaginal endmetriosis which means it has spread to my rectum causing bowel issues.
I was being advised to do a blood test follow by a lap surgery followed by either taking contraceptive pills or inserting some device to stop my menses. The surgery costs about $12-$15K.
As I'm currently single and would like to have my own babies next time..would contraceptive pills harm the body as what I've from some people esp the elderly folks?
My tcm told me there is no need for surgery but just stick to her TCM medicine so I'm confused ...
Any advice to help guide me make the decision? Deeply appreciate..
Please seek 2nd opinion. I read in the forum ur Tcm like to refer to gleaneagles gynac to do unnecessary test.Hi all,

i have not really asked doctor about this but my colleague claim that her gynae said cyst or endometresis will come back especially with contraceptives.
it could be a good idea with tcm because tcm are stronger with gastrointestinal issues.
western medicine is stronger with ENT issues.
speaking of which who is your tcm doctor? i might need to go back to tcm too.

Hi,
My TCM is Ying Chuan Chinese Medical hall at Jurong Blk 202.
Hi, yes I have my doubts as I read some similar cases whereby she refer patients to the same doctor in Gleneagles too. I was told to go for some test including boood test before I can go for the surgery. The various tests are about $2k plus Any good recommendations?
Hi, it's Dr Suresh NairHi missyb2828
Which gynae from Gleneagles?

I heard that Dr Nair is good for fertility from my gp and colleague.
Hi missyb
Is he good? What's his advise ?
Can I ask which doctor and TCM did you seek in the end which told you it was a wrong diagnosis? Would love to get second opinion. Thank youHi,
I think I know who you saw..
Pls dont trust her.. see another tcm or gynae instead. I did what she suggested and he concurred with her "diagnosis", resulting in me getting exclusions for health insurance.
Years later, i did a lap to remove endo cysts and the doc confirmed the prev diagnosis was wrong! Fyi my tcm then did not proclaim she can "cure me with tcm", but advised removal with recovery supported by tcm (and thanks to that I got pg eventually)
But too bad I already had exclusions so when I applied for a review, they revised it but included my new endo condition instead. If I have not trusted the tcm, I would not have had any exclusions in the first place and would be fully covered even for endo today.
So pls take care and be careful. If you google u can see similar experiences. Too bad the forums were not so common when I saw her in 2002!
